Fighting Creek Park

This park is a great place to bring children to play or take in a nature walk. The trails are well mapped out and accessible. Powhatan County Parks and Rec does a wonderful job of maintaining this park for citizens of all ages to enjoy!!!

Beautiful park complete with playground, trails, and best of all, a Native plant trail run by the Powhatan Master Gardners. Labeling on the plants is very good! Plenty of parking to enjoy all the facilities.

This is a great place for adults & children alike. I was at the pavilion this evening. Good facilities, large & clean pavilion, & lots of shad conducive to comfort in hot weather.

Really nice sports park. The concession food, which is apparently run by an experienced caterer, is superb! So many choices, even breakfast items. I love to attend games at this park, I don't pack lunch, I head straight to concessions. Lol. Oh, and I enjoy the softball too. ;)

My dog Hazel loves to go here. Plenty of trails to walk.

Great park. Everytime we go we're there for hours and we meet so many great people.

The park is very nice. We reserved a covered pavilion for a birthday party. It was very spacious and was clean when we got there. The playground is close by, so the kids could go play while we were setting up the party. The pavilion had plenty of picnic tables and a clean grill (although we didn't use it). The pavillion was surrounded by trees, so in addition to the covered roof, the trees provide some shade too. There was plenty of parking and the park wasn't busy at all. It is highly recommended to make a reservation via the Powhatan government website, just to make sure that the pavilion is available when you want it.

The baseball / softball fields are always in excellent condition! We just played a tournament there this weekend and even after the heavy rain Friday night the fields were very playable. They also have the nicest concession stand in the area by far

Had a wonderful time the family and friends beautiful place to have birthday parties in the picnic area 🎉 🥳 nice playgrounds the rest rooms are clean very dog friendly parks!! Just a wonderful place to go!!

This is the best park iv been too in Richmond. There is a library near by and baseball and soccer fields the trails goes threw woods and a historic district. Nice playground a few nice areas for picnics.

Has things for the whole family to enjoy. Smaller playground for smaller kids and plenty of trails for the bigger kids and adults. Has picnic tables to eat at and make your park trip a picnic, has baseball and soccer fields across the street. And is conveniently located right behind Powhatan County Public Library.

We LOVE this park! Ball fields are beautiful and well kept, trails are very nice & there is disc golf as well. Plus, its near the library & YMCA. So, lots to do in close proximity. 💜

Saw two adorable, blk kittens there and hope that they are okay.
We left them some food but they would not come near us because of our dog.

Love it here. There are multiple trails and even trails off the actual trail that lead behind the school-my kids love exploring. Park is clean, well maintained, safe, and playground area is shaded and has stuff for kids of all ages.

Enjoyable time walking the trails

Every time I visit Powatan, I make sure to visit the park. There are multiple hiking trails and some geocaches to find!
