Ace Moving & Storage

This company made my out of state move so easy and pleasant. Josh was very easy to talk to you, and was very easy to get a hold when I had additional questions. He was even able to move my moving date back a day when I called him the day before I was supposed to move. I could not have asked for a better experience. Mikey, Greg and Corey were very fast, efficient and most of all punctual. I highly recommend this company for any type of moving needs. You won’t be disappointed.

We were very happy with the service that we received with Ace Moving. Our moving team (Jeremy, Frankie, Frankie and Reed) were prompt, courteous, professional and hard working. We had some challenging navigation in our home for some heavy pieces of furniture, but they did not let that deter them from doing a great job. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

This was the BEST moving experience we've ever had! Prior to the move, they provided excellent communication regarding the price quote, then followed up three times prior to the day of the move to ensure we didn't have any additional questions or concerns. We had three gentlemen move us and they were on time, professional, efficient, and very careful with our belongings (especially my antiques and china dishware). We really could not have asked for a smoother or more painless moving experience. Not to mention they are so affordable! I'd recommend ACE to anyone looking for movers- best movers in the area, hands down!

Our 7th move but first time using a professional moving company. We needed entire house contents packed and moved into a storage unit. We researched before choosing Ace in Roanoke. Very happy! I found their employees to be honest and caring. They sent two to our house who literally itemized each piece of furniture and estimated number of boxes required for "stuff". This was entered into a software program in order to provide an estimate of square footage needed for storage unit. The guys gave me several tips to follow which made moving day so much easier! We agreed upon a strategy of preparation one day then loading into truck the next day.
The first day a team of three wrapped furniture and packed all clothes, artwork, kicknacks, antiques, etc. I was impressed with their expertise and thorough job of wrapping. (They ran out of time and didn't quite complete all items but promised that tomorrow's team would take care of the unprotected items.)
Although the "Loading Day" team were also professional, I felt they were a notch less knowledgeable than our "packing team". I did observe and catch a few potential mistakes such as an original oil painting being carried out to truck without having been wrapped. I asked that they please protect that and they immediately complied so no complaints. And I give credit to another who sought me out to confess that he had broken a piece of an intricate frame from an antique mirror while wrapping. It was quite fragile and he took care to wrap the piece and secure it inside the wrapped mirror. Again, no complaints as it can be easily repaired. Only one disaster on moving day. A wrapped ceramic sculpture was dropped and shattered. Ah well. My husband knocked over a lamp which shattered also. Accidents happen.
Four months later we are now slowly removing our items from storage and into the new house. Now that we've emptied one unit and are halfway through the second, we have found a few minor damages but I still highly recommend Ace Moving and Storage.
Our friends have horror stories of their various moves and we had a dream move compared to theirs! Plus, we feel Ace was priced reasonably compared to moving costs our friends had paid. So add affordability to my assessment of Good Quality.

The company was excellent to work! The movers were polite, professional and friendly the day of my move! They took extra care with my things and were very patient with my two little dogs! I highly recommend Ace moving for local and long distance moving like mine!

The 3 men who came to move me from my 3rd floor apartment to my new house were amazing. I didn’t realize I had so much stuff so my estimate was a bit off, but they made sure to explain the situation before beginning the job. Even with the extra boxes, they still worked hard and got everything safely loaded and protected in the rough time frame I was quoted. They worked very hard and professionally. They were very polite as well. Even though they came all the way to Lynchburg from Roanoke, the price was better than what I was expecting. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to people who asked.

The whole moving experience from the estimate and planning process working with Josh to the actual heavy work with Savonte and Jeremy were awesome! They were personable, efficient, and knowledgeable. We had a plan and they listened and executed it perfectly. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them in the future.

My family had an excellent experience with the Ace Moving crew, CJ, Tra, Austin, Mike, and Xavier, who helped us move. The young men were positive, upbeat, professional, and worked hard and fast. They were also very kind to my son. I recommend Ace Moving.

We have used ACE moving three times for large items. The most recent time Terrence, Marcus, Frankie and CJ helped move most items in an apartment. They did a great job, stayed on task, and were very careful and courteous. They worked together well as a team and they constantly checked in with each other to be sure that each step was safe and everyone’s fingers and toes were out of the way. This is my favorite moving company especially for special or large items.

Our move was on the hottest day we have had. The guys were quick and efficient. This is my second time using Ace Moving and Storage. I highly recommend them.

We had Svante, Terance, and Sallah moving my mother's 100 year old baby grand piano and some other family heirlooms to my home in Maryland from Virginia. The guys were so thorough and so careful with everything. They went out of their way to help me find the serial number on my paino too. I really could not have asked for 3 nicer men to be moving my stuff and I definitely couldn't be any happier than I am with the whole move.

We are beyond impressed with Ace Moving! First time I’ve needed to hire a moving company, and it was very smooth sailing throughout the entire process. William provided the initial quote and details, was very responsive when I had questions, and accommodating when our initial move date had to be postponed.

On moving day, our movers were very friendly, professional, and had a good sense of humor to boot! They took very good care of all of our items, while still maintaining a fast pace to get the job completed. The move even completed a little earlier than we had anticipated, which was great. And the price was more than fair!
