Jae Valley Park

Created this as a Hotspot for bird watching. Great spring birding spot but watch the gnats! Very calm place to fish as well.

Awesome little public green space that is never heard of before spotting it on Maps a couple weeks ago. Great spot for an afternoon getaway to escape the city for a little while. Quiet and secluded, with a nice wooded area. Creek looks awesome. Clear and deep! There should be a lot of fish around, and not just trout. It's looking like I may have found my new favorite spot in the valley. I'll be back in a few weeks to see what kinds of fish I find.

It was a wonderful peaceful evening even though it was a little rainy you could hear the water running in the river the wind in the trees just being able to spend some time in nature totally recharged my battery and was much much needed!!!’

Once upon a time there was an old public pool here, but after that this area sat vacant for decades. Glad to see it finally put to good use. It's a cute little park.

What a very scenic walk/run. Jae Valley park area is the perfect start on the Greenway, beautiful surroundings while enjoying nature.

Love it there peace and quiet place to cook Creek to fish or Wade in.

Nice place

A nice tranquil environment. You do get some noise from nearby traffic but overall the walk, while not particularly spectacular, is peaceful and well shaded. It was a bit muddy shortly after the rain but it is a nature trail, so thats just part of it.

Nice little Park just south of Roanoke on 116. There are some trails through the woods that follow the creek and then crisscross over each other. The trails are mowed grass, which is unusual and offer a peaceful setting. There are plenty of birds & butterflies this time of year, so photo ops abound! It's a nice place for a pleasant walk.
