King's Crab Shack and Oyster bar

Awesome little restaurant with fresh seafood. The appetizeres were delicious, had the mussels and scallops. And a dozen oysters. Main course was the "Low Country Boil". Recommended.

This was the first time we ate here and we really enjoyed it a lot we had a good time and enjoyed the food it was great! I would say the only complaint that I may have had was I did ask for four different types of beers and they did not have those besides that everything was good.

The bartender on staff was extremely friendly, funny, and helped us navigate the menu as it was our first time in. We had the popcorn shrimp, crab legs, and draft beers. The food was hot and our beers ice cold. We never went unattended as the bartender was able to service her guests effortlessly (or at least make it look like it!) Definitely will be coming back to try more.

One of my favorite places in Winston to hit up for raw oysters, I've eaten so many I've actually bitten into a large pearl once!

I've been frequenting King's Crab Shack since I first moved to Winston in 2015 and have always had a great experience. Mainly, to get my oyster fix, I can always rely on reasonably priced, shucked oysters by the dozen.

The oysters are from the James River in VA and have a nice mild, creamy taste to them so I always order these by the dozen or two when I come to get my fix. Most recently, I celebrated the birth of my son with two dozen since I was unable to eat these while I was pregnant and boy was I in heaven. Of course, I shared a little with my hubby :). We enjoyed the crab dip for an appetizer as well which I'd recommend if you're into that.

Wonderful Experience! This eatery hits all the marks. Eclectic interior decoration, great food, fair prices, and efficient and friendly staff. There is even the option to sit outdoors for those nice days when you want to enjoy the fresh air. I imagine that once the downtown construction is complete, this place will be packed all the time. I had the seafood quesadilla which was great. The portion sizes are good and I had leftovers. Congrats to Will the owner and his staff for a job well done. Definitely a place to visit on my next trip to Winston-Salem.

Mmmm mouth is watering just thinking about the dinner I had here! Really good seafood place to stop if your in W.S, NC! If you like seafood, good drinks and great vibes stop by here! The staff was nice and laid back felt like I was visiting friends. The music was lit and the drinks!!! Still thinking about them to this day! I was in town visiting for the NBTF and we stopped here for a birthday dinner and it was worth the wait!!!! I had the cod which were a good size and fresh! I also got to try the crab dip so I recommend those as well as the crab cakes and I saw a lot of ppl order the oysters. So those are just a few for you to try. Thank me later....oh and for my drinkers try the crabby punch! 🍷 🦀 🍽

I always say that if you get great service and the food is ok then I would always go back there. In this case the food and service was great. Jamie who was around the bar was AWESOME . They made the best decision to have her work here. We will be back in Winston Salem in a couple of months and will certainly visits again because of her.

We are from Raleigh and my wife had a medical seminar in Winston-Salem, so we decided to make it a mini weekend vacation. We came here as it was close to some of touristy things we wanted to see.
I was very impressed with, of all things, the house salad. We often order a salad as a way to balance out the meal between healthy and maybe not so healthy items to follow. At a lot of restaurants, these salads seem to be an afterthought, they use almost white iceberg lettuce with a minimum of toppings. Not here! It was very tasty.
We came for crab legs and that is what we got. They were hot and tasted just right. Those with some hush puppies and Yuengling and I was in heaven.

Don't let the outside dive bar vibe fool you. This place has some seriously good seafood and the menu options are diverse. I had a grilled salmon Caeser wrap and it was hands-down the best one I've ever had. The fried oyster appetizer was terrific. Great bar menu and beer selection. Bar seating goes the length of the table seating but there is also sidewalk seating outside.

The food is excellent👌 and the wait staff is very friendly. The server made sure that we had everything that we needed and brought our food promptly. It was a great birthday experience. 😃

SOOOO good! I had two dozen oysters, wild caught salmon, and my boyfriend ordered the she crab soup, which was better than any clam chowder we ever had. I finished everything, fast. Delicious. And our server was wonderful.

This place is very good!!! If you are looking for good seafood come here, especially for the seafood. I had 2 dozen oysters for an appetizer, then I got the Poboy sandwich with breaded shrimp and oysters. The only tip I can give this place is put more sauce on the Poboy. The sandwich was so dry until I got to the end of it where the sauce was.

Great seafood bar. Loved the shrimp I ordered and the service was great too. Nice, calm, and collected employees. Good spot to go if u have a layover like me.

We went tonight for the ½off shrimp, I managed to eat only 2lb tonight, I'm going to be ready for next week

Amazing food!!! Better than the beach, in my opinion. The manager Jake was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Especially after my friend and I were turned down by the server after driving an hour and a half from Chapel Hil, Jake let us get comfortable and fed us well! 10/10 would recommend anyone to come here for seafood even if it's a long drive!!

This place was amazing from the pan seared scallops and brown sugar butter were amazing appetizer! Then I had the fried crab cake on a sandwich with fries and coleslaw and it was amazing! I can't describe food very well but nothing was wrong with any of this. The World Cup was playing on TV the atmosphere was nice and laid-back, the server was such a gentleman and I wish I could take him everywhere as my server or my bartender because the man can make a drink! I had the hurricane and is one of the best drinks I've ever had! Winston-Salem is a really neat City and this restaurant is a definite must go to! I literally walked here from the Amtrak transfer station!

Wow! This is a very nice place with great atmosphere and customer service was great. I ordered the oysters, crabs legs and shrimp. Season very well. I will be back next time I’m in the area. Very enjoyable evening! 👍🏿

Came here on Taco Tuesday with some coworkers and absolutely loved it! The prices are great, and the food is delicious. I got to try their fries, lobster taco, chicken taco and a bite of lobster mac n cheese. A local gem in Winston-Salem. would definitely be back again, on a regular day as well! $2 beer, $2 tacos sound good to me!

The food and service was amazing! Very reasonable pricing and good sized food portions. Marcus was an impeccable waiter!

First and foremost, every single time I come here the food is a hit. I usually get the Snow crab legs with sweet potatoe fries, a classic favorite. Never too heavy on the old bay seasoning, just perfect! This time I ordered at random and it was phenomenal. The Crab Dip is a MUST when you come here, even though it says "cajun" it is NOT spicy at all. Creamy, crabby and melts in your mouth over the soft parmesan sprinkled pita bread triangles. 5 out of 5 stars.
The blackened chicken and shrimp is also 5 out of 5 stars. Flavor, texture is all there plus the amount they give you is enough for 2nd day eats 😋
I ordered the Shrimp and Scallops pasta to go. It comes in a red based creamy sauce, also, 5 out of 5 stars.
