Oakdell Pharmacy

Oakdale always has what I’m looking for. The prices are a little higher in my opinion after calling around to different pharmacies that carry durable medical equipment. They do carry just about everything. I would go there again and do recommend them.

Great compounding pharmacy. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Prescriptions are ready quickly.

I called four medical supply houses. Most never bothered to call me back. Horrible experience. Another pit me on hold for an hour before I hung up. Oakdale answered my call immediately and instantly filled my order. Toni was my contact. This was a five star treatment. The others did not even reach one star. Super service.

I NEVER write reviews, but the folks at Oakdell were SO helpful and deserve it!! It didn't even feel like I was at a pharmacy. They patiently answered all my questions and got my prescription put together in lightning speed after my doc's orders didn't go in.

After calling almost every pharmacy in town (4) because my Dad needed just a day's worth of his feeding tube formula (we came from Houston and didn't pack enough :/ my fault) most places didn't have it- understandably, employees just said they don't do that and hung up. Oakdale Pharmacy was the next on the list. I spoke to Doc and Carol and their level of customer service was not only amazing- as they went above and beyond to assist me EVEN after knowing they didn't carry it for pick up same day! Their sincere actions and friendly rapport left me so appreciative for humans like them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Y'all nailed Customer service 101!!

I am so happy with my service here today! From a friendly voice over the phone explaining many options to considerate care during my purchase. I am considering making the switch to this pharmacy from a national chain one. Great business!

I needed my thyroid med and was really running low and the weekend was close. I called Oakdell Pharmacy and told them. Due to a repackaging the product had done, changing the number of pills from 28 to 30 for a month’s supply, my insurance co kept denying it. My Oakdell tried 28 times for me to put that through and each attempt costs them a charge which I didn’t know about until Kathy, who was helping me, told me. I finally called the ins co and they talked to Oakdell and got it straight and approved it. It was 5 minutes till closing when the deal was done. By the time I got off the phone and went to call Oakdell back to see if the ins co had given them what they needed, it was a couple of minutes after closing so I figured I’d have to just wait until the next day. I was totally floored when 1 1/2 hours later they were at my door with my medicine!!! Now I’m JUST SAYIN!!! This kind of caring, over the top service AND free delivery is beyond anything I would have ever expected!!
Oakdell thank you for your heroic efforts to help me and everyone of us who have come to trust and depend on you. You are AMAZING!!!

They have compounded a medication for me for 8 years and have always been kind and professional. they even called and wished me a happy birthday. They have had different people come and go and some there for many years and each one of them has been kind and courteous and very knowledgeable about medicine and other items in their store. I'm very grateful for Oakdell Pharmacy and everyone that works there. I intend to cheerfully continue to use them every time I need a compounded medication.

The staff are amazing! I had a very pleasant experience when I popped in to get vaccinated for an upcoming trip. They have a lot of medical equipment and supplies that i would be surprised if you didn't find what you were looking for. I don't know how thier prices compare to other pharmacies but after today, if I needed anything I would come back here.
Don forget to check out thier aqarium before heading out. 😀

The techs are some of the nicest and well trained pharmacy techs. The Actual Drs. There are as nice and non judgmental folks I have ever dealt with. They deliver even huge territory. Thank you for the 3 years I've done business with you. I moved 40 miles away and I still make the journey to the medical District just to not have to change pharmacys.

Always outstanding service. If you cant find what you need, if they carry it they will find it. If they dont carry it, most often they can tell you where to find it. Buy supplies for my husband and myself for nebulizer. Tubing, mask, peace pipe for me. Lol. Hoses/tubing which ever for cpap. Prices are so much better. Medical equipment. They have a large selection. We needed a portable Nebulizer for my husband, something if necessary he could carry, in a backpack or something and use either resting or continuing on depending on situation. We were able to find one that was around $100.00. It has been a life saver. So many times. Over the counter items you have difficulty finding elsewhere. I haven't come across anything I haven't been able to find at Oakdell Pharmacy. And if you need to have a medication compounded, or made from pill to liquid, they are going to have to send to some pharmacy in FT. Worth. Ask if they will call Oakdell pharmacy first, you will get that medication faster, you may have to pay out of pocket. But you can send into your insurance for reimbursement. Its completely worth it. And they have small gifts and cards. The only thing missing is the bar with the pharmacist making rootbeer floats, and serving pie, or cake occasionally a burger.

April 2021 - Due to a family emergency I had to travel out of state. I was not aware of the differences between state rules and regulations and the multitude of phonecalls necessary to get prescriptions filled earlier than usual. Because of a brain injury and residual memory loss it is very hard for me to comprehend the entire process. There is no greater act of kindness than helping someone in need. I was in need and Christina made it possible for me to get all my medications filled early so I could travel out of state. If you have ever tried to get your stuff overridden by insurance companies then you can understand what super-human feat it entails. By the Grace of God--and Christina's hard work and patience through the miscommunications and ball-drops-- all the phone calls and overrides were done and I was able to leave in time. Thank you all at Oakdell Pharmacy for making my trip possible. You've made a difficult time for my family a little bit easier to handle.

I love this Pharmacy. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better it did! Now they deliver all my meds to me and even put everything together so I get it all at the same time each month. Even if I get something out of the norm they are quick to deliver it.

Janet is still the most awesome employee ever and she feels more like family to us. Even though I get all my meds delivered I still look for reasons to go see her smiling face. Thanks Oakdell Pharmacy!

I just have to say that I received service above and beyond any pharmacy I've come across. The manager-Scott Fisher received a prescription 20 minutes after closing hours (sent late by my on call Dr. ) Saturday night. Mr. Fisher understood that I was out of medication. He met me on Sunday morning, Opened the pharmacy after hours and filled my prescription!! On his own time. I'm speechless, and usually don't do reviews, however I was so impressed by his caring and compassion for my situation that I had to give Scott Fisher and his Oakdale pharmacy on Louis Pasteur a mention and a great big thanks for their help. I'd recommend this pharmacy to anyone and will.

Excellent pharmacy! I was greeted and helped within moments of walking in. All the staff are helpful, especially Ms. Tony.

Oakdell is in a class of its own. For the last 8 years I've gotten to know these people so well, some by first name. I only stop by about twice a month for my wife & I (a physician herself) but I've really felt like they've been a second family to us. The amount they care about their customers is just that great. From the techs to the pharmacists not a single person there has ever shown us anything less than true service. We'll miss then when we leave San Antonio this summer. Future pharmacies will have impossible shoes to fill as Oakdell has truly spoiled us.

I have yet to have a bad experience with OP. They have worked hard to get my special compound medication ready for me within a day. Everyone here is extremely nice and helpful. I will continue to use them as long as I need their services. I highly recommend.

Only pharmacy around you can find the normal day to day pharmacy items, but also an extensive selection of specialty items to include wound care and home medical and care supplies that include shower chairs to electric recliners, and where else can you get a blood pressure cuff in one part of the store and a Birthday card and candy on the way out, oh and the staff is top notch too...
