I have the sweetest memories in this restaurant with my partner and friend. Our dinner was spectacular!!! I wish I had the space for dessert! They looked delicious! Our appetizers and main were outstanding! Highly recommended!

Busy place. Expect to wait. Window seats seemed really nice with the view and all.
Food is great. Clam chowder is so good just as expected since it is an award winning clam chowder, but scallop was impressive as well. We also ordered a whole crab too but it was okay (didn't take a photo though)
Overall nice service! Nice place to eat at pier39!

I came to Fog Harbor since it’s one of the most rated restaurants in SF and I’m glad I checked it out. They have a wide variety of seafood as well as steaks, salad, and sandwiches. There was something for everyone at my company’s dinner and everything was good overall.

Food
I ordered a special steak with crab meat layered on top and it was excellent. The steak was cooked well and was juicy and tender. I loved that the crab meat was all on top so that I did not have to peel anything at all. The mashed potatoes was creamy and super good. The greens were also sautéed well.
For table appetizers we got the red chili garlic shrimp, salad, and ceviche from the special menu. The red chili garlic shrimp is kind of spicy but I would recommend it!
For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu and the dessert duo. I liked the tiramisu since it’s one of my favorite dishes, but they were both delicious and sweet.

Atmosphere
The restaurant is located on Pier 39 so you can get a good view of the bay during the day. Casual or fancy wear. The interior was nice and there’s a good mix of booth or table seating, as well as outside seating. The noise level was not too loud and we had a good company dinner here.

Pricing
Pricing is average for a seafood restaurant and is actually nice if you pay to dine in. I expected to pay more since this is SF (I’m from Seattle) and spot on the pier but overall not too pricey.

Service
Service was excellent and the server was able to make good recommendations for the table. Food came out quickly and everything was to order.

Other
Located on the second floor of Pier 39 so be sure to look up and at my picture of the entrance. There is paid parking I think but my group just took a Lyft there. Great view and also things to do around.

Foods are good other than the oysters.
Start with garlic Crab. The crab is fresh and full of meat. Grilled potatoes are crispy and veggie is good. Mix grill plate is good all seafood is fresh. And Chowder is really good. Not too salty, and crab meat is a lot of you add it into the chowder. Lastly, the oyster is really bad. No juice no meat, the quality just not qualify to be even served on tables. Other than oysters. Everything else is still good.

Glad and thanks that you have responded to this review, unfortunately that was my last day in this trips in San Frans. I am defiantly come back next time for those great food.

It was so busy when we arrived and were told it was going to be a 20 min wait. 7 min later we were seated at the window overlooking the bay. It’s Fleet Week in SF-so we had a front row seat the Blue Angels and their air show. The service was prompt and our server was so friendly. The food was FANTASTIC. We ordered the Alcatraz Escape cocktail which was delicious. Bruschetta for a starter, which had great flavor. My husband ordered the mix grill and I ordered the halibut. We both loved our choices. Th e sauce with the Halibut was out of this world-so flavorful and satisfying. We finished dinner off with a shared strawberry shortcake. The “biscuit” was a cross between a biscuit and a cream puff shell. The cream was so smooth and the strawberries fresh. Would give it 12 stars out of 10. Definitely recommend. .

We went here for New Year’s Eve dinner and had a lovely time. Initially there was a mix up with our reservation and we had to wait extra 20 minutes but it was well compensated by our wonderful waiter Shawn. All the dishes our group of 4 ordered were delicious, fresh and well prepared.
Highly recommend this restaurant.

I've been lucky enough to visit San Fran twice this year, and this restaurant was excellent the first time around that we went again. Yes, it's that good. The views, service, and food are incredible. The crab risotto [first visit] was perfection. This time, I had the stuffed crab ravioli, again, perfection. They have ruined crab for me everywhere else 😅. My husband and sister enjoyed their dishes just as well. Of course, the chowder in the sourdough bread bowl is a must. If you are in the fisherman's wharf area, do not hesitate!

The restauraunt is upstairs on the second level. Directly behind the restaurant is where you can see all the sea lions perched on the dock. Food was amazing, everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. The New England clamps chowder was some of the best I have ever had. We also had the poke and calamari which was delicious. Also Great views.

Tried this place again and it was just as amazing the first time. Crab cakes and clamps chowder were on point. Lobster roll was one of the best I've ever had.

First restaurant, first stop in SF and it was the best choice!! Tried their famous clam chowder in a homemade sourdough bread bowl (say yes to the crab topping) and live/cheesy baked oysters. Food came out quickly and we were able to eat in & out before our ferry. Friendly host and server as well. The entire restaurant was decorated beautifully for the Christmas holiday, really classy and timeless decor. Every window view faced the ocean and the scenic view of the mountains/land across the sea. Would love to stop here again & definitely recommend as a 1 stop for all!

I highly recommend Fog Harbor Fish House. I ordered the Mixed Grill and it was spectacular and even though there was a slight issue, the restaurant was quick to remedy it for me. The portion size was just right and everything was cooked to perfection. I was even surprised with a birthday dessert that was enough for two 🥳

Will definitely be back next time I am in San Francisco

We only came for appetizers and this place was awesome. The host got us in quickly and seated us at a table with a great view. The rolls were great, and the calimari app is a must try. Look forward to being back for a full dinner!

Nice ambient lighting and 🎶. Good was delicious and hot. My child enjoyed the kids meal although a bit plain for me. The salmon combo, pesto pasta, and swordfish were all tasty. The swordfosh had a hints of ginger garlic and pesto. To top it off we watch the tree lighting just outside😊

It’s been many years since I’ve been to SF. A trip to Fisherman’s Wharf is a must! With so many restaurants to choose from, it was not an easy decision but we decided on Fog Harbor after comparing the menu and reviews.

Turns out to be a good decision. The restaurant was huge (couldn’t tell from the outside) but it was full. Luckily I made reservations and we were given a table near the window fairly quickly.

We had seared Pacific cod and lobster tails and both were delicious. The only dish that disappointed was the clam chowder in bread bowl which arrived lukewarm and felt that the taste was lacking.

The service was impeccable and the ambience was cozy. I’d choose Fog Harbor again if I’m visiting SF again.

Overall, the food is really good! I had chowder, oysters, lobster, and crème brulee. I loved everything! And the service of Bngjovi is also great. He introduced me to delicious food.
Oh, the sunset is wonderful here! I'm glad to spend my last day and last dinner here!

If once you are in San Francisco you must visit this place! Be sure to try california clam chowder!!! I have never ever tried such an amazing soup in my life! They have a variety of different dishes to try but… for me this one is the best and a must to try! The place is amazing. The view and the internal design. Service is really nice and helpful.

The view of this place is second to none. So beautiful. I saw seals right in front of my view swimming near the boats. The service excellent also. I’m from London so the service here is the best I have experienced than ever in my time. Food also absolutely delicious and portion sizes are huge… love it overall.

The was great, the restaurant is huge and has the hustle and bustle of a big restaurant. There are tons of both indoor and outside seating. The food is well prepared, and came out pretty fast and was hot like it was just made. The complimentary sour dough was a nice touch but also a little skimpy given what meals cost. Our waiter was slow and seems confused most of the time but the food made up for it somehow. The views are exceptional of the harbour and the docks. Over all it was a nice, the place was huge and felt a bit like a factory to get people in about out but if your hungry it will meet that need.
