Village of Port Jefferson

I have worked with almost all the villages and townships on Long Island and I have to say that this town hall and its personnel are extremely helpful , looking to assist those needing information and guidance on their permits and properties, with the processes and documentation and just answering the simplest to the most complex of questions, they always seem to make the time. The building departments, Susan, and the Sr. Inspector Mark, have definitely helped me greatly in explaining the village codes and their application process. They always return my calls and emails quickly and provide service with a smile, and honestly in this new world we live in now… that goes a long way! They are such a pleasure to work with that I wish all town personnel were as happy to help as they are! I can say that I always look forward to speaking with them because their customer service skills are impeccable! Thank you to Mark and Susan for always providing welcoming assistance to even the most disgruntled of people walking into their departments or handling those obnoxious phone calls in the most professional manner! Though you may not think people don’t see what you do… there are a lot that notice all your efforts, your staff is truly wonderful! Thank you

I needed a copy of my birth certificate, and I was in and out in 5 minutes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I couldn't have had a better experience.

Come here for a walk with the dogs and enjoy the local neighborhood shops. Take a stroll along the beach or grab an ice cream cone and enjoy it while sitting on a bench near the water.

SO much fun! Excellent family destination. Great for both the kidss and parents. Tons of things to do. Really great way to spend a day out.

Everyone in this establishment are crooked and a investigation needs to happen. Watch there video on YouTube its unbelievable, long Island Audit schooled these fools.

Can not believe what I just saw from every public servant in this village hall. Do better, you work for the public. Your behavior was disgusting.

I hope this department has had additional training in Constitutional Laws and de-escalation since the video from Long Island Audit was posted. The Village Attorney's behavior should be an embarrassement for this institution.

Hours are very inconvenient for residents. Most people myself included work the same hours as the village hall. There should be Saturday hours to serve all residents.

I sincerely hope Richard Harris has been fired.
