Sunken Meadow State Park

Great park for family get together. Large fields to set up your BBQ headquarters, then you can walk to the beach and go swimming when you need a dip. The water doesn't have big waves since it's on the bay side. Get there early on weekends and holidays if you want to get a spot under one of their trees.
The restrooms are clean enough to wiz, don't forget to wash your hands.

Love this place easy access and free if you’re golfing. Course’s are nice and carts always available. Pro shop for supplies and concessions stands for food and they have the staff to assist you with your clubs tipping allowed and recommended. Driving range and putting green to warm up.

Such a laid back piece of beauty on long island's north shore. Plenty of room and lots to do. A truly unique wonderland.

Lots of birds and shells to see. It's a good place to have an evening walk or perhaps a morning run... So many dead crabs though

This park is amazing. Love the hiking trail, boardwalk, huge parking and picnic area with bbq grills. Perfect for the whole family.

It was a great day for a Motorcycle ride, today was was awesome, weather.it's been awhile since I visited Sunken Meadow Park. The beach was very clean.

Amazing place to hike on the beach or up the bluffs or in between.

Secret gem of Long Island. Picnicking, swimming, nature. Hiking is mostly uneven sand. There is a "dogs allowed " section, and those dogs looked very happy! Playground in the distance full of happy kids. Definitely going again!

Had a great time with the north shore walking & hiking group. Trails and views are awesome.

Always great to go on summertime! Many families, different cultures unite to soak up the sun. Mostly clean areas, bathrooms are kept clean. Friendly beach as the waves are usually light. Kid friendly. 🏖

Absolutely beautiful place to go on walks and enjoy nature. The new parking lot is gorgeous and I wish they can turn all the parking lots into it also. Only thing is please do not bring your pets!

It’s a very nice park, but go there early to find your best grill spots, if you go after 9am, good luck. And this park also alcohol allowed, but don’t be too drunk.

Peaceful, clean and a great place to walk and take in the beautiful scenery even in winter!

Love this place because it's clean, has big bathrooms, no waves, the water is so calm. Also, there's a picnic area to have a barbecue.

Went there on Sunday evening. Lots of parking spots, lots of people fishing, a couple of fancy event locations along the beach. There were weird bugs though that start biting, so carrying a bug spray might help. The boardwalk was great too.

Nice view of northern Long Island. Many hero - lifeguards safe and great take care off the people! Some foods /drinks and coffee is available. There is a long broad walk, perfect for jogging or leisure walk. Plenty parking. Barbecue area also available too. Behind the beach, several walking trails. if you decide to go on walking trail. The beach is so relaxing and amazing. There is a fee going into the park. /$10 . It’s free after 4:00 pm…. Lot’s of fishing man pls carefully !

Great place to hike and unwind with beautiful views
