Was there for the Halloween festival they had. It was amazing. The ticket cost was minimal and what they offered to accommodate all age groups was FANTASTIC!!! The decorations on the trail were amazing!!! Well done Carlisle! Can't wait for Christmas season and then Halloween next year.

One of our weekend favs to go to. The dino play room for kids gets their wiggles out. On the flip side is a bird watching room that has windows to the bird yard to observe the many bird types. Books and recordings to help you under stand them. On the back of the room are many turtles in cages and a few bug examples. Two snakes also reside in their glass containers. Out side are walking and horse trails with trail maps. A small collection of owls and various local birds are at the end of the building. This place will keep you and the kids busy! 😁

My first time here. The Meadow Loop trail is a good distance (1.5 miles) and offers a nice mix of forest and wetlands.

Be mindful of a few small holes hidden amongst the leaves on the grass portion of the trail.

The staff is very kind and welcoming. Most helpful in getting new folks pointed in the right direction.

Be sure to take a few minutes to check out the visitor center and the Raptors next door.

Our Lorain Metro Parks are indeed wonderful destinations.

We took our Cub Scouts here and it's fantastic! Lots of different trails from easy and short for the little ones to more longer trails for the older ones. During the fall is beautiful! Be sure to check out the visitor center also, they do have some birds and other animals in captivity you can check out.

Amazing place. The professionalism, cleanliness, informative educational information, and raw natural beauty is second to none! That and the Rangers are the most kind and knowledgeable around. Parking is great as well as the bathroom facilities are SPOTLESS and well maintained. Aside from the occasional pile of horse road apples, The trails are great. Just mind the bugs.. They are unavoidable.

Wow, great place to bring your kids of any age. We went to the wildlife building and saw hawks, owl, bald eagle, and the largest birds nest ever! Then he played in a giant play room with dinsosaur toys and huge tunnels to crawl through. They have a children’s tree house that goes pretty high up, he loved! Then the fun duck pond with all sorts of different color ducks, you can fish, grill out and picnic, or walk down the trAils and go over bridges with beautiful scenery. Definitely going back for their “Fall Fun” hay rides and corn maze!

Great walking trails and we love the themed cabins for the kids. The indoor dinosaur themed play center and nature center was a nice surprise. It's great for a hot, rainy or snowy day. We frequent this place often. They also have great events that go on during the holidays with the Halloween one being the most popular.

We went for the Halloween Walk!! Very pleased! And for only being $2 per person, it was a lot better than I was expecting. I can't believe I never knew about this until last Halloween. The displays are great! Family friendly. We went right around 5PM and it was just starting to get busy. The lines moved very quickly! We decided we would stay until dark so we could walk to trail to enjoy the full effects!
If you have children who scare easily, I recommend going between 5PM - 7PM. There's no hidden surprises. Also no blood or guts.
If your kids don't get scared and you go through some of the areas and there's hidden surprises, definitely go after 7pm. The lights are a lot of fun! My favorite part is the hand carved pumpkins, lit up. Gives the illusion they're just floating!
There's also tractor rides and train rides. Live entertainment and even games for a couple extra dollars. If you're hungry, there's a snack booth run by the Metroparks as well as fair food vendors!
