Great service. Menu constantly changes so we didn't know what to expect, but everything was delicious, delightfully inventive with thoughtful pairings of flavors.

Michelin, just give them a Star already!

I love this place but don't go very often because it's usually packed. However the City's quiet due to the long weekend and we pounced. Best oysters, impeccable cocktails, and always seasonal, changing-daily menu. Just go. Eat, drink, chill hard. It's as French a bistro as you'll find outside Paris.

This place is a gem of a restaurant. Started at the bar with some wine and oysters. A great selection of super fresh oysters were available.

Dinner was delightful. Great Cesar salad, bread and butter was so good, and the roast chicken is worth the hour wait. Wonderfully crafted cocktails were consumed and enjoyed.

Open airy and inviting dining location. Food and drinks delicious. We followed the recommendations of our server, who didn’t lead us wrong. First time with a paper airplane cocktail which will stay on my list! Very tasty cauliflower soup and duck leg. Had to spoon up every last drop of the anise scented sauce. Didn’t have enough time for the chicken — you need at least 60 minutes for it to cook (no option to order in advance). And next time need to bring a few more friends to justify ordering that mound of crunchy fried potatoes.

Simply superb. Zuni has been a San Francisco institution for decades but I am still impressed with the perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned fresh food that they serve. The roast chicken and oysters are rightfully famous, but many other things on the specials menu such as their pastas and salads as well as their mixed drinks (including non-alcoholic options) are world class. The food, diverse and well-curated music, and light-filled room are with matched with happy, attentive, and authentic service. One of my favorite meals in any city. Bravo.

Lovely experience, higher prices but really great atmosphere and quality of food. The fries were so thin and crispy, and the house ketchup was tangy and not sweet which is rare. The leeks and clams were one of our favorites, perfectly balanced and leeks so flavorful. The lamb ragu was like a shakshuka, my friend would only wish there was more bread served with it. The halibut cheeks were a bit like a scallop in texture, very well cooked with a sear.

This iconic eatery really lived up to its hype. The team are really friendly and very attentive, I felt well looked after and valued throughout.
The food from start to finish was amazing. I wouldn’t normally order fried figs to start or roast chicken for main but both were recommended and neither disappointed. The chicken was the best I’d ever eaten. I finished with a beautifully light berry sorbet for dessert which was the perfect palette cleanser and sweet treat to end on. The cocktails were all outstanding. I can’t wait to go back.

Outstanding restaurant, with a rare menu of oysters listing where they come from and what type they are. A delight. Just as the rest of the food, very fresh and tasty. The service was old-school impeccable.

Zuni Café, nestled in San Francisco, serves up top-notch dishes in a cozy yet classy setting. The roast chicken here? Unreal. I still dream about its crispy skin and juicy meat. But it's not just about the chicken; their salads burst with flavor, and the pasta dishes hit the spot. Plus, their desserts? Divine. The staff knows their stuff and adds to the experience. If you're in SF and craving a memorable meal, Zuni Café is the spot to hit up.

OMG! The roast chicken really like everyone described- incredible and worth to wait for an hour! So tender and juice and flavorful! The decor was very unique and interesting too!

A necessary stop for any San Franciscan or visitor. Live piano accompanied a buzz of activity in the cozy interior. The drinks were strong. The bread was hearty. And the steak was tender and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend this place when it’s drizzling and cold and you need a warm refuge with friends over drinks.

Fantastic restaurant, the cocktails were amazing and the chicken lived up to its reputation. Loved it and the service was great. The bartender and the ladies at the front were lovely and worked hard to get us a table despite the fact that we didn’t have a reservation on Saturday night

Love this place. It took me 20 years to finally have dinner here. It was worth the wait. Delicious food. Rotisserie chicken was probably one of the best I have tried. Thanks ,Tristan, for taking us out 🙂

Oh - the food was great too! Caesar is a classic and lives ups, while the tower of fries was also a hit.

We learned something new that day - there are fries that can be eaten later as leftovers. 😉

Has always been a favorite! Drinks and apps at the bar, dinner at a table. Roast chicken with bread salad was divine, as well as the fried squash appetizer- divine! Excellent cocktails 🍸

Zuni Café serves up fresh and inventive dishes in a lofty, chic space. Ordering the shoestring potatoes will reward a diner with a nest of thin and crispy frites piled high and accompanied by a homemade tomato ketchup. The Caesar salad is also excellent, full leaves of romaine tossed with a flavorful dressing that clearly communicates the freshness of its ingredients. The burger was the highlight here, a flawlessly cooked beef patty served on homemade focaccia with aioli and house-made pickles. The beef flavor was so rich and the various elements of the sandwich integrated into a seamless whole. San Francisco locals are lucky to have access to such a long-standing restaurant that truly lives up to the hype.

Another wonderful Zuni experience! We usually go for dinner, but it was so fun to have a Sunday Brunch date. A special thanks to our wonderful server James who provided warm and anticipatory service.

Strolling past after geting my hair looking sharp and took a chance to see if their as available seating. The wonderful hostess grated me with a warm smile and ushered me to a corner window seat. Lucky day indeed. My waiter quickly brought the lunch menu and obligatory cocktail menu as it as such a gorgeous day. I took his suggestion and had the sparkling elderflower cocktail which paired well with my ceaser salad with shrimp - do recommend highly, but wish it came on a larger bowl/plate. Atmosphere knocked down a notch due to the loud self absorbed person seated next to me who decided to interrupt everyone's personal time with his loud conversation. Luckily, the earphones were fully chagred. First Zuni experience in the late 90s and happy the Zuni experience has maintained its level of food and experience.
