Simple neighborhood bakery with fairly priced baked goods.

The egg tart custard has a nice, silky consistency.

The pork floss cake roll was tasty (and filling!) 😋

They have a unique egg white egg tart that is delicious and flaky. They do sell out of items so it depends when you get there what is available! The sponge cake was light and airy.

The black sesame walnut bun had sesame, walnut, and raisins inside. All were delicious though you have to like the sesame and walnut combination, it's more of a paste than a lava filling.

Would go back for sure in the future!

Amazing value for Asian pastries!!

I decided to cater for one of my work events and for 70 people we spent ~200. Each pastry ranges between $2-$3 and they are good size.

My favorite were the sausage bun and melon bun. The pork floss wasn’t my favorite but some people really liked it.

As a milk tea connoisseur, I already knew the milk tea was going to be good when I saw the black and white milk cans. On first sip, you can taste the rich tea flavor and I would give it a 9.5/10, i.e., ready for milk tea competition level.

I also had a pineapple bun and butter egg tart, and I was not disappointed. From a technical perspective egg tarts are simpler than the pineapple bun, and being fresh out of the oven there’s not much to say good or bad about it. The pineapple bun tho is a 8/10. It was not an air pocket bun, taste was good, and the top was crusty, but where it lost points was the top fell off too easily with each bite. However I would say that’s often an issue with pineapple buns.

If you are in San Francisco in Chinatown you must visit this place! It is super authentic and prices are really great! I tried two specialties and I really loved it! I got tea as well! The place is super cosy and as I was quite in the morning it was not much clouded so I got my sit right away! For me this is a must to be!

Good egg tarts here. I got two tarts and two pastries for $10.50. The line is shorter than the other tart place on Grant ave (if they are open.) I love these small Chinese bakeries. This place is so small, there isn't a place to sit. I actually prefer to stand on the sidewalk and eat them outside. Good job pastries chef at Yummy Bakery.

Fresh-out-of-the-oven sweet and savory pastries and breads, including my favorites: black sesame, green tea, green onion, and shredded pork.

Because there is one superhuman women doing everything — taking orders, answering the phone, pulling trays out of the back, restocking the shelves — there will likely be a line. It may, or may not move quickly. Be patient.

Prices are reasonable, worth a special trip to Chinatown! (the trip is around 5 minutes by taxi from the Ferry building, or 12 minutes by bus.)

I passed by this tiny bakery in the morning and saw a line. That’s a good sign. It must be good. I waited and got it’s signature homemade “Egg white tart”. Mild sweet and the tart melted in my mouth, so fresh and delicious! I ate two in a second. I could have eaten a dozen on the spot.

When I came back in the evening, lots of items were sold out and I got one “Wife Cake老婆餅”. I really wanted to try Durian moon cake 榴槤奶黃月餅, but no luck. I was told to come back around 11 am the next day as it is sold fast.

Excellent egg custard 🍮. Well known in San Francisco Chinatown. You have to try it 😃. Not a good process to pay therefore long lines 😕

Cheap, fresh and tasty! They get really bussy 2-4pm so you have to wait in a line for a while. But its worth it. Ham and cheese, slippery egg, hotdog, pineapple, coconut, custard, blueberries and cream cheese bun, sponge cake, papercup cake, butter bread, salty bread, lotus cake, wife cake, hong kong tea and coffe are delicious!

One of my new favorite egg tarts in the city would have to be at Yummy Bakery in Chinatown, SF. This is not your typical yellow custard tart. This one is made of egg whites. For $2.50, you get this light, buttery, creamy, and flaky tart that melts in your mouth. And biggest compliment that an Asian could give is - yes, it's not too sweet.

Wonderful ppl & GREAT PASTRY! They also do birthday cake. I ordered a mango and cream🎂 one day ahead and they did such an amazing job!

The fruits were the top quality (sweet strawberries in the mid February 😯🔥) and the cake was very fluffy and not too sweet (which in transition means *magnificent*) a

They have my favorite Hong Kong style cup cake in SF. Unlike American style cup cake, hong king style is airy and light like cloud. Compared to other bakeries, they use a higher percentage of egg so it is even more aromatic.

This is an honest review. After browsing several places for a birthday cake, I found this small and tiny bakery in Chinatown. I ordered a Durian cake for my bf's birthday, and the taste is surprisingly better than I was expecting. The best rate here on Google Maps doesn't lie.

Abt the cake, actually there's real durian inside (not just a flavored cream). The texture is soft as japanese cakes but not too soft, accommodating perfectly the durian and cream. The buttercream is not too sweat, and the flavors match perfectly.

My Singaporean and Malaysian friends would definitely approve.

I stopped by this bakery to try their white egg tart. It was still warm! Crumbly crust and less sweet filling. I prefer less sweet. Excellent tart.

When passing it, it seemed to be a popular place in Chinatown and mostly busy. They seem to have unique varieties to try. I got a egg yolk tart and red bean mooncake. I had a HK style Tea as well and everything was tasteful. Give it a try even with a long lane 😉

Go here. Eat buns. You will thank me.

Seriously, this place is amazing. Delicious food at very inexpensive prices. I wish I was staying in San Francisco longer so that I could have blueberry cheese buns for breakfast every day.
