We were exploring the Mission District and I needed something sweet. We walked in and looked around. When I started drooling I knew I had to buy something. The lady working was not very nice. I wouldn't say rude, but very inhospitable. Seemed like she wanted us out. No smile no thank you. But the Pandulce was amazing so no harm no foul.

I love coming here for pan i live in San Leandro and honestly this bread will not let your stomach down 😂

La Reyna Bakery is one of the historical panaderias in the Mission. This is the place where you can get your traditional Mexican pan dulce.

La Reyna it has been the best panaderia since i put a foot for the first time in San Francisco in 1986. Always fresh, baked on the premises, family operated and owned. Many things have changed in SF and in the Mission district, but La Reyna still holding strong, keeping the flavor of Mexican bread and helping the community.

The last great bakery left in San Francisco!!! Mexican bread over the years has drastically changed. Hard to find the small batch authentic recipe breads of the past. Most bakeries now a days are outsourced from big factory bakeries and every piece of bread they make all taste the same (like vanilla I believe)
Not La Reyna! They stick to the old school traditional recipes that makes me drive from Marin county and purchase $30 of bread at a time! I literally pass 20+ bakeries from San Rafael to La Reyna and I haven't found one that compares to the tritonal taste.
I can go on forever regarding the quality and taste but you can judge for yourself. Do yourself a favor and stop by whenever you have a chance. I will add photos as soon as I go back!

When I crave pan I Come to La Reyna. The quality of pan and the prices are very good. I love that they make conchas of diffrent colores.

The best sweet breads I have come across in ~10 years of city searching... always fresh, great selection unless they sell out later in day, and the prices - they are TOO LOW when all nearby places charge nearly double for often stale breads with 1/4 the selection.
Beware: It is a casual/family operation, and the hours vary depending on the weather and neighborhood vibe, but it's part of my weekend routine so I simply abide by the tide because, yes, it is THAT GOOD. Enjoy.

They had everything stocked up fresh and tasty! Their bread on this given day was perfect! We purchased quite a bit to share with friends and family and everyone wanted to know exactly where this Bakery was located. A wide variety of cookies, breads and pastries. Freshly baked.

I LOVE this bakery. Right in the heart of the Mission district , on 24th st by Folsom st. I have been going there for about 15 years. The bread is just delicious and the price is just right. The Conchas are my favorite.

I am posting because someone here called the window display "garish". Clearly Mexican culture is a bit much for you. I'm not surprised since these are transplants from the middle of nowhere, where the most colorful thing in their town is the cornfield.

This panadería is amazing, pan tastes just like if you got it from your neighborhood panadería in the middle of a Mexican town.

This place has inexpensive yet very delicious pan dulce (sweet bread). Their conchas and croissants are my favorites.
