A great bakery house with a wide variety of pastries. I got $12 curry chicken sandwich. The bread is on the hard/ chewy side like french baguette and the filling is flavorful. The other bakeries I got are also noteworthy like the morning glory bread, the tomato basil scone, and the crazy cookie. I would say the crazy cookie is the most satisfying to me. Would love to try more things next time I visit the neighborhood.

We got several items on our visit. A crazy cookie that was the size of my daughter’s head, and delicious- totally give it a try. A Nutella bun - 2 stars- dry, and blah. Roast beef sandwich, fresh, but part of bread was slightly soggy, and needed some spice or condiment to make it actually good. Chocolate croissant- delicious but not extraordinarily so. Chocolate Bundt cake: truly sublime, another home run. But for the true 5 star rating: the cardamom bun was something that we all agreed: absolutely delicious. I’d say it was the best pastry of my life. I’d fly back to SF just to have this one again. We also tried the coffees, a cortado and latte and both great!

A hidden gem, perfect place to stop by for some morning pastries. We came by around 8:30 on a Sunday and there was a short line. Such a broad selection it’s hard to narrow down what to order. Just means we have to come back to try more!

The brussel & balsamic pastry was our favorite!

Awesome bakery with a vast selection of baked goods. Tons of different breads, pastries and savoury goods. Prices are a little high, but I feel like the quality here makes it worth it. Bunt cake, croissants and the sour dough were some highlights.

I marked this place on my Google map because rumor has it, they have the best croissant in SF.
Unfortunately they sold out at 10 AM when I was there today 3 PM on the first Saturday of September, 2023.😔😔😔 The staff said croissant sold out at 10 AM on Saturday.
Even though I was disappointed, I still asked for recommendations from the staff, glad I did, because it's amazing.
I have to tell you even though this is not the luxury type of cafe you expect them to be but under the unassuming store front unassuming packaging, each bite will blow your mind.
So tasty.
The thousand layer pie is so crunchy.
And most importantly, they just know how to measure the right amount of sweetness.
Now I know I have to be there around 10 AM to get the best croissant next time.

First time being here and everything looks amazing. I didn't ask but it appears like everything is made and prepared there. We got croissants and other cream filled buns. My favorite was the brussel sprout pastry.

Incredible selection of baked goods and sandwiches! People stand in long lines to get in here that should tell you something. Friendly staff never leaves you disappointed

Arrived at noon and the line was about ten people and moved fast. I thought they ham and cheese croissant was very good, but perhaps not the best in San Francisco - I will keep looking. I also had the morning roll, which was good, but the outermost loop was pretty dry.

Finally had the chance to try after passing by so many times. At 4pm, there was still a bit of selection. Got the chocolate cherry mesquite cookie, and the flavor was unexpectedly amazing. I really enjoyed their ham and swiss croissant, which was really flaky and the right amount of delicious filling. Prices are reasonable and this place has become one of my favorite bakeries.

We came here for the kouign amann (pronounced queen ah-mon) $5.50. It was delicious and well worth the wait. Kouign amann is the considered to be the fattest pastry. It is layers of butter and sugar with crispy dough. So good.

Here I am again. This is a great establishment with one of the best croissants in San Francisco. Today I tried the twice baked almond croissant and the coconut nest - it's divine). I recommend everyone to try the pastries from this establishment at least once. Happy Easter😉 everyone.

Definitely recommend the gingersnaps & the whole grain sourdough loaf. They have special menus for holidays you can pre-order and pick up!

WOW! I got an absolutely beautiful box of Valentine's cookies and treats as a gift and not only they were delicious but also decorated with natural coloring! These days it's so hard to find businesses that don't use cheap toxic red 40 and titanium dioxide, so I am extremely happy they are one of the few! Highly recommend, the short bread was absolutely perfect, as good as the ones you can get at a British shop in the UK, perfect consistency and flavor which is not easy. I was also impressed by the big assortment which made it so much fun!

Best baguette in all of SF. All their breads are stellar. Haven’t tried many of the sweets, but everyone seems to love them all. Parking is tricky, especially on weekends. Oh also the mango chicken salad sandwich with some curry flavor is bomb

A bakery with amazing taste. I keep coming back again and again because of the wide variety of breads and sandwiches. And the coffee is delicious.

Amazing bakery! Great Kouign-amann. Tons of different pastries, both sweet and savory. The line moves fast. There is seating outside. Many types of bread to choose from. Just picked up the olive polenta bread and there are WHOLE olives and little polenta chunks throughout. Wow! So unique. At $10 a loaf, my expectations are met.

I would give this twelve stars if I could. Do yourself a favor and drop by. The Nutella brioche and almond cake were our favorite sweet items.
I loved the vegetarian cauliflower sandwich. It is probably the best cold sandwich I've ever had. I wish I were local, as I would buy it regularly. It was absolutely huge and was perfect to stick in our bag and eat later while sightseeing.

When my husband and I walked in to Jane the Bakery we were greeted by a charming young woman who filled our order with joy. We liked their baguette and other loaf we purchased. Both had great crusts. Our sandwich was tasty and filling. I only got one pastry on this first visit, a lavender lemon scone that was top notch. We will be returning without question!

One of the best croissant with lots of special pastries that you can't find anywhere. They have enough variety of both sweet and savory to meet all your craving.
