So glad to have found this spot! Lovely large windows with the sun coming in. The croissants are supper flaky and delicious. We got brunch for 2 and yes, it’s a lot of food!

There are 2 bike racks to stash your bike at and I had complete peace of mind while dining! I think I’ll be back again

The most beautiful & bright French bakery cafe in the Castro 🥐☕🇫🇷 I’ve been coming here for years for the occasional croissant (they have award winning ones) and finally sat down for a proper breakfast today. Delicious food with very large portions and friendly service.

Highly recommend if you’re in the neighborhood.

Just checked this French spot for brunch recently and really like it. It’s light and not loud. It was pretty packed on a weekday noon and I noticed that it’s popular among those who like to work at the cafe.
I ordered eggs Benedict on a croissant with salmon and it was really good. My friend ordered a board with 5 different components and also liked it. Service was fast, the only thing the tables could not be ready right away when the place gets busy. Overall I liked this cute place next to Dolores park and I’ll definitely come here to try their baked goods as they looked so delicious!

Came in for a bite on Boxing Day. It’s lovely and quite inside, great to start a slow morning.

Menus are at the counter where you order. We got the Jambon Gruyère and pain au chocolate croissants, the ricotta and spinach swirl (?) with cappuccinos and an iced mocha. Everything is really quite good - the croissants are unbelievably flaky.

Liked the cappuccino too!

My vegetarian daughter loves the veggie eggs Benedict. Coffee as a capuchinos are delicious. And, of course, the croissants are perfection. There is a reason that there is always a line here.

As a person who is obsessed with Almond Croissants and authentic French food, I give Le Marais an A+. I was visiting SF from LA hoping to find someplace with real French people serving real French pastries. They present their food with quality and care … no cheap ingredients and super buttery taste . I ordered the avocado toast on a croissant that came with perfectly cooked eggs and a salad with a super light and flavorful dressing . I seriously doubt that this experience could be replaced with AI. Lol.

The BEST croissants in the city. I think they are the only ones not putting fake almond flavor to their croissant and that’s why their croissants are so good. Amazing staff very helpful. Delicious coffee all the time. Beautiful place and atmosphere. A true gem in SF. (I wish it wasn’t that pricy)

Favorites: Almond croissant / Avocado toast.
It is a really nice and cozy cafe/ restaurant. Great place for brunch. The baked goods are extremely delicious. The staff are friendly too. However, the service was slow a little bit. It is a very popular and crowded place. You just order and find a place to sit.

Had my first experience at Le Marais Bakery and it was delicious!

It’s an order at the counter and seat yourself spot. The croissants are absolutely incredible. I ordered the Bacon Croissant Toast and a pain a chocolate. The interior is so beautiful and they also offer outdoor seating.

Lovely spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Lots of delicious options. Amazing coffee. Lovely vibe. Service was a touch slow. But the spot is great, and weather made patio sitting super enjoyable.
Had the eggs Benedict, silky sauce, perfectly poached eggs. The croque madame was also tasty.

this place is so cute, a legit little piece of le Marai in SF. Seating is cute and atmosphere is great, don’t forget to order the banana French toasts they’re to die for

Very clean. Nice place to get coffee/breakfast with friends. Plenty of indoor and outdoor places to sit. The staff is really friendly. On Mondays the kitchen is closed so you can only get bakery items and coffee options. I like their oatmeal and their bacon egg on croissant with salad. Their oat milk latte is really good. I love having my breakfasts here.

I came for breakfast pastries and left with some of the best food I've ever had. The chocolate almond croissant was so well executed. Flaky crunchy outside with a delicious thick chewy chocolate center. The apple tart was so creamy/soft it melted in your mouth. The staff was so kind and helpful. I love this place and will be bringing my family when next in town.

Great French cuisine! A nice quiet neighborhood place to catch up with friends and enjoy a nice lunch or coffee and pastry. It also has a great outdoor patio with lots of sunshine--a cool place for an afternoon coffee. I had one of their sandwiches and friend had a salad, both were quite enjoyable and affordable.

I do like this place a lot. They have operations down to good service, timely service, great product and quaint ‘French’ bistro atmosphere. The coffee is delicious and the personnel is very friendly. Even on a busy Sunday brunch you manage to find seating and your food doesn’t take too long. I know some people ( my friend Ty) adore the hamburger on a croissant bun. Not me. Too sweet for the contents. But their Asian salad is actually one of the best I have ever had. The patisserie delicatessens are a dream too. Will definitely make it a regular place to go with friends and family. Merci Beaucoup!

I googled brunch places in the Castro and was meeting up with a long time friend and stumbled across this wonderful gem! Everything about it exceeded our expectations from the food and service, to the employees and overall vibe!!! Ended up having a variety of different menu options. I personally got the French Toast and it was absolutely delicious. Also enjoyed a couple bottles of bubbles which can never be a bad things! The owner/manager checked in with us multiple times (not overbearing) and personally made sure that we had a wonderful experience. Will DEFINITELY be going back to try the French Onion Burger which I friend got, and also stated it was absolutely delicious!!!
