Personally, I don’t trust any other vet for my birds. Since Dr. Dustin and now Dr. Marcucci, I’ve always had good outcomes with my birds. It can be expensive but I don’t think that’s any different from anywhere else. Healthcare is expensive for animals and humans. I appreciate it their expertise.

A knowledgeable staff. A pleasant and productive experience. My macaw is quite comfortable and safe on my shoulder, but be sure to bring your angel in a carrier.

Staff is incredibly friendly, empathetic and knowledgeable. Very happy they were able to take care of my Guinea pig, when we needed it the most. With the shortage of exotic vets, I was feeling helpless and sad for my furry baby.

I was very pleased with Dr. Marcucci and the team. As soon as I walked in, the person at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Marcucci was very attentive and thorough when examining my budgie, Ringo, eventually sending us home with the medication he needed for about a week and a half. They also drew a little blood for a liver function test and did everything possible to make it as calm an experience as possible for Ringo. On our way out, the person at the front desk was very kind, expressing concern for poor Ringo. A couple weeks later though, Ringo is back to normal health and happiness, a huge relief for me. Dr. Marcucci even followed up with an email and call to see how he was. I'd definitely recommend bringing your little buddies here.

I feel that my four Guinea pigs have been in great hands with Dr. Marcucci. She comes off as very experienced with small mammals which put me at ease when I took all my girls to her for first time well checks. I opted to move forward with surgery on one pig for removal of a few probably benign subcutaneous growths to have more reliable diagnostic info than the single fine needle biopsy could reveal. Dr. Marcucci showed great clinical judgment with my Guinea pig’s case and I am very happy with the care she received. We confirmed the growths were benign and Kisses made a smooth and quick recovery from surgery. All the staff are very caring and I trust them with the care of my littlest family members.

My little Green Cheek Conure couldn't bear weight on her little left feet after a fall. I was having the hardest time, sleepless night after failed to find an emergency pet hospital that care for avian on the weekend. I called all possible pet hospitals, asking for references, but when I called to those other hospitals, none could accept my visit with my bird. Eventually I was able to get hold of the wonderful receptionist by the name Asia of Bay Area Bird Hospital yesterday ( Monday) morning and she was so kind to schedule me in for an emergency service within an hour and a half.

Dr Marcucci gave a quick examination to make sure my bird was not injured anywhere else. I truly appreciate the careful handling and professionalism of her and her staff. Julia helped to administer the first dose of the medication, patiently taught me how to do it at home. I cannot express how grateful I am. I can truly feel how much they care for animals. Thank you so much. The pricing is reasonable and the location of this hospital is convenient, with many free street parkings.

I am praying hard now that it is just a strained muscle/tendon and that my bird’s leg will be better within next two days ( she was able to use that left leg to scratch her face after the medication, and seemed to be in less pain), otherwise I am definitely bring her in again for further evaluation.

They have helped me with my old bird. They helped me prolong his life a whole year. This most recent visit was for my recently adopted bird for a basic check up. My new bird is not hand tame yet and they handled him as the pros they are. Never once was I concerned he'd fly away.

I have had the best experiences with every person at Bay Area Bird Hospital. They have treated my cockatiel Linus, a parakeet Sophie and my cockatiel Rocky. The care they gave my birds was always kind, caring and gentle. I brought some difficult issues to them and when it came time for me to say goodbye to Sophie and Rocky they helped me thru a difficult time. I can't say enough wonderful things about them.

The Veterinarian staff here are beautiful and compassionate people we had the misfortune of having to put a pet down and I could not have asked for a better experience even though putting an animal down is the worst feeling ever. They allowed us to sit with our animal after the dose was administered and stay in a private room with her to say our goodbyes. I am grateful for a wonderful place like this. If your looking for compassion this is the place for you. The prices are what you would expect and they will work with you if needed to help you afford your animal's treatment. Five 🌟's for this place.!

Dr. Dustin was really good both with handling our bird and the wealth of knowledge she had. We had a lot of questions as first time bird owners. She not only answered all of them but helped us answer ones we didn't think of.

We'll definitely be returning again and again.

I have been bringing my birds to Bay Area Bird Hospital for over 20 years. They are fantastic and I really believe they have saved my birds' lives on several occasions. They really care about their patients and I know my birds will get the very best care available.

Absolutely wonderful! Dr. Marcucci is professional thorough very friendly. I as well as my three guinea pigs were very safe and taken care of very well. We're thankful!

Dr Dustin is the best. Both Pepper and Loki get their check-ups, nail and wing trims there. She saved my bird Killer a long time ago and had I taken him back to her when he wasn't feeling well he would probably still be with us.

I love Bay Area Bird Hospital. I have been bringing my budgies in for years to see Dr. Marcucci. Everyone here is great, and I love that they only see birds and small animals. It's well worth the drive from South San Francisco.

A family doctor for your pet. Have been visiting regularly for 3 years and no problems. Staff is wonderful. Dr. Dustin is the best! She is truly compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough in her work.

Dr was great! My Eclectus who hates being handled didn't object to handling. Dr was very informative and professional in handling my bird. It's far but I will return for future needs
