Shannon Moving & Storage

I used Shannon Moving for a fairly last minute in-city move (booked them on a Friday for a Monday move) and I'm so happy with my experience with them. It was my first time using movers - I had lived in my old spot for 9 years and had accumulated more stuff than I realized and I really couldn't justify asking friends to help me out this time. From my initial correspondence to the moving process itself, they were thorough and helpful. The price per hour was a bit more than some other companies but I had three movers vs. the two that others recommended so I think it was more than worth it.

The movers were super efficient in getting everything packed up in the truck and safely over to my new apartment, even though it was probably more stuff than they expected to deal with. On top of that the parking situation at my new place was dicey AND it was raining... overall they just really crushed it and while I don't expect to move again for a while, I would definitely use them in the future. I think my friends will be happy to know that they are forever off the hook to help me with moving - it was more than worth it to hire Shannon. Thanks guys!

Five Stars for sure! Keith and Juan were both extremely nice and very conducive to my schedule. I needed them to come later in the evening so I wouldn't miss work, and they had no problem with that.

I also ended up changing the date on them and they had no issues with that. They made two stops for me to pick up furniture at two different locations and I emailed Keith a schedule of time's and locations where they needed to go and they followed it perfectly! Keith was great at keeping in contact with me from the time I scheduled the move until the actual move day itself. I definitely knew I was being taken care of and not scammed by some amateurs from Lugg.

They were super fast moving boxes and very gentle with all my nice wood furniture. They made sure to set all the wood (and my mattress) on a blanket so they didn't get scratched of dirty. I thought it would be an issue getting some of my heavy stuff down the two flights of stairs, but they both did it with ease. When we arrived at my new house they set my furniture where I wanted it and re-set up my bed and headboard.

It took about 2.5 hours to move from two houses into a one bedroom....very efficient! They were both extremely friendly and I would use them again in a heartbeat. I'll be sure to pass their names along to other friends in the city that are moving.

Very reasonable prices for the great work they did. I never thought moving would be so easy!

Shannon Mover Team-Roberto, Antonio and Cinnamon were fantastic! They were pleasant and helpful. They moved things carefully and efficiently in two different building who have their own set of rules. I highly recommend Shannon and was pleased with the end price. It was not an arm and leg pricing and it was a full service company and movers. For start to finish a class act!

We hired Shannon Moving and Storage to move us from a 2-bed apartment in San Francisco to Marin. Fiachra was incredibly helpful in orchestrating the job by suggesting an optimal size of the team and truck size based on a description of our belongings that we needed to move. Their pricing was accurate and very competitive.

The moving team on moving day were punctual, efficient and really nice to work with. Everything was accounted for after the move, and no items were damaged.

Moved apt this week and Shannon were so so good! Arrived on time, 2 great guys, everything went seamless. They did a great job packing the kitchen, carefully wrapped all the furniture and were very careful with everything. Would highly recommend them and I will be using them again if I have a need. Amazing company. I had to cancel another mover last minute and called them at 5pm on a Friday for move on the next day. They came through with a great price and a cash discount and the whole process was straightforward. Helpers were professional and careful, my move was done quickly and painlessly. Would recommend to anyone.

We moved from Redwood City to Danville, I was pleased with estimating, scheduling and truly impressed with the 3 movers, Luis, Yer and Mulla. They were prompt, organised, neat, careful with our possessions and fast. They helped rearrange things and waited while we put felt pads on the legs of the furniture being placed on the hardwood floor. They even came in under estimate. This is the 2nd time I've used them in the last 2 years and I would highly recommend them, you will have one less thing to worry about.

Needed to move a whole garage full of personal items from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Our property manager recommended Shannon. Competitive rates. Great communication and instructions from Fiachra. Movers Julio and Alex were very punctual and provided excellent service. Very pleased with the move. No hesitation in recommending Shannon.

The team we had from Shannon Moving & Storage was awesome! We had great communication leading up to the move and text confirmation morning of to track the trucks location. Our movers - Luis, Vicente, Memo, and David - were a strong, hardworking, friendly, group. They took time and care to wrap our big furniture items to keep them protected and safe and provided garment boxes to pack the closets.
I appreciated that when they removed the TVs from the brackets (which stayed) they taped the screws from the TV to the bracket. Same with mirrors and big artwork on the wall - if they took it down, they made sure the screws came with.
We also moved our appliances. They took care to remove the refrigerator doors and drawers to make the unit easier to get through the doors of both units. At our new location, Luis got out his tool kit and connected the oven, fridge and dishwasher.
Using professional movers definitely adds an expense to the overall cost of moving, but time and again that day I thought "These guys are worth every penny!" We have no plans to move again for a long time to come so I can't say I'll be a repeat customer but I will happily recommend them to anyone looking to hire professional movers.

We had a phenomenal experience (twice!) with Shannon Moving! We would hire them again in a heartbeat. The first day, Cesar, Joe, and Hugo called when they were on their way (on time!), were extremely friendly upon arrival (to us and our 2-year-old), and spent the whole morning packing our condo with meticulous care. They organized, labeled, and knocked out the paperwork easily. They then got to work and moved incredibly efficiently through the condo wrapping each piece of furniture in blankets and taping all unsecured items. They were incredibly fast considering how much we had.

We then headed to the new unit a few miles away and they got to work unloading, asking questions to be sure they set everything up correctly and everything was placed in the right spots - including assembling beds and crib.

Then, two days later, Cesar, Hugo, and Alex helped us again by showing up to our storage unit to pack it up and move it to the new place. They were incredibly quick and got everything into the new basement. They also helped us move some things around in the house that we realized after Day 1 we wanted elsewhere.

They were friendly, courteous, careful, and professionals the entire time.

I cannot recommend them highly enough! Hopefully we won't move again soon, but when we do I know we'll use them.

Reviewing a bit late but we did our apartment move earlier this year with Shannon and they were absolutely amazing! Roberto, Juan and Felix were super efficient completing our entire move within just a few hours and without any hassles. Definitely going back to Shannon the next time we need to move!

Julio and partner just left and I can't say enough about what a great experience it was working with Shannon. Julio and I forgot the name of the other gentlemen were both courteous, professional, hit the ground running and did a seamless job. Worth every penny. Very happy with my experience. They provided very professional services and we highly recommend!
The movers arrived on time. We did a quick walkthrough to identify all the items that need to be moved. They labeled all the items and clarified with us where things should go in the new place. All furniture was wrapped carefully and no damage was occurred. Some boxes are very heavy and we know it’s very difficult to carry them up and down on the stairs. But these folks made it look so easy!! We were very impressed. We moved from a 3b2b SFH to a 3b2b SFH nearby and it only took 5 hours in total. The whole process was very smooth and organized.

The team at Shannon was amazing, both on the booking side of things and for the actual move itself. Keith did a great job getting me a quote over the phone that proved to be very accurate in coordinating moving from two apartments into one. On the day of the move, the team was running a bit behind their ETA, but they called to let me know, and Keith called reassuring me he'd send a second team if needed. All the movers were friendly, professional, and quick. Everything arrived safely and the whole process was super smooth.

Could not have imagined a better move. The people at the Shannon office were incredibly responsive, transparent, and flexible. On move-in day, Juan, Julio, and Vicente were lightning fast in clearing out two big storage units we had and moving everything into our new apartment. We had used another mover in SF recently and the difference was night and day. Couldn’t recommend Shannon more.

The fellows who came down to help us move were awe-inspiring. I am so so impressed and grateful for Shannon Moving services. Punctual, super strong, they packed our 15’ truck like surgeons: so precisely with much care. Really really impressive stuff, took the stress right out of the day. I love these guys! This was by far the most amazing moving experience I have had with my any moving company. Keith was a pleasure to work with. His crew were absolutely fantastic. They were very pleasant, and made sure everything was packed up and placed exactly where my partner and I requested. The crew at Shannon moving were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves when the job was completed. I’m a general contractor in the Marin Area and understand the complexity of different jobs, whether it be accessibility, parking, neighbors and all the other logistics involved.
