Really awesome sake shop. The people there are super knowledgeable and helped choose a sake just for me. They also do tastings with a theme, which is great to introduce one to the world of sake. Totally in love with this spot, definitely coming again once I'm done my bottle

Amazing sake shop. A real shame I live in Austin and can't go here more often. I'd be in all the time. Mei was incredibly helpful and very kind to throw in a few copies of "Sake Today," which I've already torn through.

Will be back when I can and highly recommend for all lovers of sake and newcomers alike.

If you're a fan of sake, then you should go to this store. The worker Chris was very knowledgeable, friendly, and inviting. I picked up a bottle that I ordered online, and he was very professional & courteous. The store is very clean, and had hundreds of bottles to select from. I would definitely go back to not only learn about sake from them, but to buy more.

Excellent selection, helpful staff. Found some nice aged Sake and seasonal Nama Genshu nowhere else in the city had. Price were great

If you want high quality sake, this is the place to go in the city. Price is reasonable, staff is nice. Only issue I had was parking - it’s impossible to find parking nearby and I had walk 3-5 blocks to get here…

I've been buying my sake from True Sake for the last 3 years. You can't get a larger selection at a great price than here. I generally order online for pickup, but if you walk-in, they'll be more than happy to pick out something that's perfect for you. I'm especially thankful to True Sake for getting me into the seasonal namazake!

They have the best selection of hard to find, delicious and new saki, hence the name, lol. I really had a great experience, thanks Chris for dropping knowledge and your help. I highly recommend this place!

Do not be intimidated by sake. Chris and Chika will make you feel comfortable and ensure you leave with some delicious sake selections. Not only are they knowledgeable about the sake, but Chris’ suggestion for food pairing was spot on as well. They are very kind and more than willing to walk newbies through a scrumptious sake experience and will help veterans try new and exciting brews. 11/10, True Sake, and more importantly their staff, are a gem.

Truly, an awesome little shop for upscale sake. Don't go expecting a Safeway selection of sake or flavored sake. Remember I said upscale. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about their products and can find the best selections for whatever your price point is. I bought two bottles for about $32.00 each. I was floored at the difference between cheap sake and true sake. The bottles I got are dangerous, in a good way. It was like water. If you're a sake fan or curious about it I highly suggest stopping by, talking with the staff, and getting at least one bottle to try.

Cool spot that I came across after visiting a nearby café. They have a large selection of sakes. The folks running this place seem to know what they're about and provided good service. I'm not a sake expert but I enjoyed what I bought. Recommend to anyone looking for a solid sake selection, or to just looking to try sake.

This is the only sake shop for miles around so there's not much to compare it to, but I can't recommend this place enough. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. Easily forthcoming with information and suggestions on what to try based on your flavor profiles. The selection of sake they have on hand is the largest I've seen. Well at least in the Bay Area. If you're looking for sake this is the place to find it.

Great sake selection, customer service, and selection. We had all of our questions answered, and more. We love sake but it's clear that the staff at True Sake do, even more. Highly recommended!

If you love sake or are even curious, this is the store for you! They have a fantastic selection with new additions every month. The owner and staff are incredibly knowledgeable and they are always happy and willing to explain and answer questions. Almost every bottle has a description that rates the sake, food pairings and compares them to beer and/or wine to help you choose. They also hold great events throughout the year! Get their newsletter...each month there is special pricing on selected bottles but you must know the secret word!

Their selection is pretty great; I managed to find a bottle of a Nama Genshu I've been craving for a while. However, I live in Texas so I need it shipped to me. Which is fine- I've ordered booze from online vendors before, so no big deal. But TrueSake didn't list what the cost of shipping was going to be at checkout; just that it would be shipped with UPS Ground. It wasn't until AFTER I had confirmed the order that I learned the shipping for a $37 bottle of sake was $36.71??? So the cost doubled without me knowing until the order was confirmed, and the price had been charged on my card. I'm working to get a refund, but since they're not open until Noon Pacific time, it'll be a while. Again, not wanting to hate on this company since they're doing some good selections- but it'd be nice to know how much I'm paying for shipping before I place an order.
