An amazingly caring, knowledgable staff.

When my canary had an eye infection a month ago, this place saved both him and I… we able to be seen quickly and with high efficacy (detailed correspondance with the veterinarian and full explanations of the medications we were given).

I am so very grateful for this vet hospital as there were very few other available avian vets, and I did not feel out of place at all bringing in a bird (especially due to his small size). The exam went smoothly and my canary was handled with care.

They are also highly organized and responsive with emails. The front desk staff are pleasures to correspond with and extremely respectful of both pets and owners. (They were even so kind as to offer to keep my bird behind their desk if I wanted to leave for a short walk (as I arrived to the appointment approx. 20 minutes early)).

I can also tell the place is kept very clean, as I (sadly) have allergies to dogs and cats, but did not have any allergic symptoms while there.

Dr. Chan is the best, and I am very thankful for this veterinarian clinic in San Francisco. I would really like to recommend their avian services for the depth and ease of veterinary care.

The staff is so kind and treats my dog with the best care! I adopted a puppy maltipoo in June 2020 and have only taken her here! They are knowledgeable and reasonably priced.

Great vet, explains pricing up front and has the best interest of both pet and pet parent in mind.

Sunset Veterinary Hospital is the best! We’ve been bringing our dog Suki here since she was a little floof and the friendly staff and doctors always take such good care of her. They always go above and beyond to fit us in when inevitable things like upset stomachs or hurt paws come up. I would give them a bagillion star rating if I could.

This is my vet and they’ve been great for the last year!

My only complaint would be that they won’t give a vaccine without a physical, even if my cat has recently had a physical from them.

They have always been so good with my dog Mitzi. I have good care always .Never need to question their skills the two lady Vets they have now are great A t. Check in is like any other vets most do not allow you in the facility and masks at all times speaking outside with vet or assistance staff. I am so glad they are there and so close to get to

I've taken 3 dogs here so far and the service has been really great. The front desk staff and the techs are friendly and really good with the animals. Over the years there has been some turnover with the vets, but they have all been great. They always do a good exam, make professional recommendations, and never push unnecessary procedures. I really feel that I can trust them with my furry friends.

Dr. Chu is great, very thorough in her explanations. She is also very patient and kind, she is excellent with my 3 cats. Staff is also top notch. I highly recommend Sunset Veterinary Hospital.

My cat had very bad skin issues for years, I’d taken my cat to multiple veterinarians trying to figure out the problem. Dr. Chan knew exactly what was happening (allergies), we haven’t had any skin issues since my cat’s first visit. The office staff and techs are also efficient and knowledgeable.

The whole team at Sunset Veterinary Hospital are kind, responsive, and professional. They are providing excellent care while implementing safety measures during these COVID times. They make sure to communicate all relevant info with you over the phone, as you may not enter the building. When I drop off my kitty for her appointments I know I am leaving her in capable hands and that the quality of service is the best!

Everyone is friendly, they treat my 85 lb mutt as if he were their own baby. They always explain what should be done and let me know how much treatment will cost up front. Cost of services are reasonable and they don't run up the bill with additional tests.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Chan and her team when there are so many stressors from not being able to go in for your fur baby's evaluation. Very clear communication via phone and email. I will be keeping my pets' care here from now on.

The vets, the vet techs, and the staff are very friendly and caring. The doctors take the time to explain what's going on with your pet, what your options are, and what to expect. While there are other veterinary clinics closer to my home, I have gone to Sunset Veterinary Hospital for several years because of the level of trust I have in them, their caring attitude, and their professionalism.

SVH takes such awesome care of my senior chihuahua Myrtle. The staff are super accommodating and have been able to fit us in when they’re booked up to help me avoid costly emergency vet visits. Would recommend them to anyone - I always leave feeling confident and reassured that myrtle’s health is in great hands. Thanks y’all :)

Sunset has been our regular vet for 10 years - 2 cats and 2 dogs. Dr Hanson, Chris, and the staff are great and have taken great care of our fur kids. Strongly recommend.

My little Kai had irritated skin and ears infection. Dr. Chan treated effectively and after one visit skin was recovered and ears was cleared 90%. Thank you for getting to the problems only.

I was looking for a veterinarian that specialized in rodents and found Dr Chan.
She gave my mouse a clean bill of health and prescribed the necessary meds to keep him happy and healthy.

Excellent care from all staff. Dog is even wagging her tail when they come out to greet her. Lucky to have such a great vet in the neighborhood.
