I visited Kabuki on Valentine's day, it was my first time. Becca was at the front desk and was friendly and happy. Leigh gave me a tour and she was just as nice. The facilities are very clean, quiet and calming..Ronnie did my massage and it was wonderful. The pressure was perfect and he had a great technique. Thank you for the all around great experience!

I went for a Swedish massage followed by access to the springs. My therapist was May who was excellent. Focused on the areas I requested and checked in about pressure, etc. The springs afterwards were wonderful. I went on a men’s Thursday so the clothing optional choice was great and the facilities were very nice. I disagree with the other comments on here about the staff being too intrusive in the springs, etc. To me it was them refreshing towels, the beverage station, and just making sure the experience is expected and as advertised. I would 100% come back the next time I’m in San Fran!

Context: I enjoyed the Springs, but did not opt for any spa services.

A fabulous experience, and the closest you can get to a Japanese sento outside of Japan. Everyone was incredibly respectful, and the atmosphere was relaxing and zen.

The facilities were clean and secure, and even naked I felt very safe.

Highly recommend to anyone looking to experience a small part of Japanese bathing culture, or just looking for a great bang for buck self guided spa experience!

I love the women bath house night. It’s so worth it to do this with a friend. I always wear a bathing suit but most people don’t. I love the sugar scrub in the steam room and the cucumber water. This place is great. I’ve been several times.

My first Japanese spa experience and it was delightful. Very relaxing, I didn’t think I would be there for my entire booking but the time flew by. Attentive staff, great refreshments. Everything was clean and tidy. Will absolutely go again!

What a gem! I came here on the last day of my SF trip and it was a great way to end it. It was the best $45 I spent the whole trip I think! It's well worth the 2.5 hour time slot. I felt so relaxed after. If you're nervous about getting into your birthday suit, you can wear a bathing suit if you prefer, however, no need to be nevous - everyone is very respectful and focused on their own zen time. If you have a chance to come here, I highly recommend it! You will leave feeling so relaxed. I will definitely be back here next time I'm in SF, and will be recommending this to anyone I know who is visiting.

I love this spa so much! It might be one of my favorites that I’ve ever visited. The environment is super relaxing and the staff is very friendly. It’s super clean and intimate. It has just the right amount of activities where you don’t feel lost, but leave satisfied. I love the sauna with the self-scrub too! Only downside is that it gets a little too crowded and loud at times. The staff tries to enforce the quiet rule. I will need to try their services next time!

I had a wonderful experience when I went into the Kabuki Spring and Spa. I had an exquisite 80 mins. massage with Ronnie and then went into the baths since I was lucky that it was a woman's day. I stayed in there for a little over an hour and a half, and boy did it help with the massage. The steam room, sauna, hot and cold pool really did the trick! I almost forgot about the outside world, lol. I won't lie and tell you that it wasn't expensive, because it was. The massage was over $200, and since I added the baths to it, I was charged $20 dollars instead of the regular $45 for it. This was a birthday/Christmas gift to myself, so I most definitely splurged!! It was great! Thank you Kabuki Springs and Spa!! You helped my body feel better after having horrible knots and tight muscles!!

I have gone here a few times for the very nice and relaxing onsen. Nice zen vibe with music, complimentary water, dry and wet sauna, and hot and cold pools. Good way to escape and wind down! You have to make an appointment ahead of time and the days are split by gender (it’s a pretty small space so they have to do this). Although I must say once you go to an onsen — especially outdoor onsen in the Hokkaido snow— that only costed you less than $10– for unlimited entry—— the price can be a bit steep. But this is San Francisco and so we live with it. Def check it out! You can’t be afraid of nudity though, for everyone unfamiliar with onsen etiquette! (but if you are, there is a day that is gender inclusive where you bring a bathing suit)

I love Kabuki spa. It’s the perfect place to escape and relax in San Francisco. I also like how there is no talking allowed which really creates a serene environment. I went on the women’s only day as that is my preference. The sauna, steam room, and the hot and cold baths are perfect and not overcrowded as it’s by reservation only. If you want to relax, unwind, and come out feeling refreshed I highly recommend. It has the vibes of a traditional bath house. FYI Clothing is optional.

Super relaxing. While I haven't opted for a massage the baths are nice/maintained frequently by staff.

Clean, relaxing and not crowded. Great to go solo or with friends (should still remain/respect being quiet).

My boyfriend and I's first experience having a massage was AMAZING. I was a little nervous that my first massage would be painful but i was completely wrong. Our service was 110 minutes long, the Deluxe Bliss Massage with Private Bath. The ambiance of the room and soft music was very relaxing. I really enjoyed the bath because the woman scrubbed my back and left me to relax with cool cucumbers and a cool towel on my face, and fresh apple slices to eat. Once 30 min was up, Trish came in to start my 80 minute Western Massage. I was completely relaxed and enjoyed every second of it, although next time I would be fine with 30-60 min massage. We will definitely be back to the Kabuki.

This place is amazing. I booked a massage and showed up about an hour early to use the communal baths facilities. The bath facilities had a different pools, saunas, steam rooms etc. to use and areas to just relax and sip tea or water. They offer suggestions on how to best take advantage of the space and I highly recommend following that routine. The only downside from that experience was that there were a chatty group of friends who were a little too loud and I wish that the staff and said something to them. I then had a massage with Maya and she was incredible. It was so relaxing and she perfectly delivered on the light-medium pressure request. I even got to take home the last bit of the massage oil that was left in the bottle. Highly recommend! Lastly the reception was so sweet and helpful. Will definitely come back, has such a great experience.

Best massage I've had in a while, and they fit me in on my birthday...10/10
They do need more lounge chairs in the bathing area! But everything else was great

This is a recommendation for the bathhouse. Came here with my partner and had an amazing time. The peaceful and no-talking environment made it feel very meditative as you move from bath to bath. Refreshing cucumber water and ice-cold towels were nice to bring in to the hot saunas.

Amenities are great as well, with shampoo/conditioner, combs, and facial cleaners to treat yourself with for when you shower to leave. Sit-down showers to rinse off before going in. Everything is so clean and the place smells amazing. Overall I felt so refreshed after coming and will definitely be back in the future!
