The korean cashier is very nice and thoughtful. The store is the only one open early morning in the area. They have sandwiches and coffee for a quick bite. Price is just a bit pricey but not too bad.

We who live on tippy top of Russian Hill think this is the best convenience store; our eyes are fixated on their wide collection of Bourbon and Armagnac; this is a store that wants to be into spirits instead of basic necessities; How also thoughtful of them to have tennis balls as we are close to Alice Marble courts.

It’s great they do not allow pets who really should be set free in forests, their natural habitat, instead of seeking public adulation in cities. Pets are so needy these days. But sometimes I rather be a pet getting so much affection.

Super clean and precision run establishment. Quality products and higher eshalons of the usual corner store items. Contains the Amazon package pickup locker named 'Vault'. Part of a nice set of shops and restaurants at Hyde/Union. Bus and cable car line accessible.

I just went to the store for the first place today and I'm honestly really shocked by all the negative reviews. Sure, it's more expensive than a conventional grocery store, but it clearly comes with the location. The store was clean and well-maintained, and I thought it had a selection that was a good mix between conventional and premium products. For a store that size, I would even say that I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of goods. I guess if you're looking for a discount store, then this isn't really the place. But for occasional refills in-between your grocery trips, I think this is a great stop.

Good store, nice people. I live across the street, and it's very convenient to pick up things I forget during my regular shopping trips. I am amazed at other reviews that fault the store for not letting them return their Airbnb keys. Since when is that a shop owner's fault? Seems like a you problem, not a them problem.

As for prices, basic economics: you're paying extra for the convenience of their location, high rent, and storing goods for you, for not having to get in your car and deal with Safeway or Whole Foods, or wherever you do your regular shopping.

Great store! We've been coming here for a year now as we live in the area. The store is clean and well-stocked, so it's easy to come here when we need something last minute. The store staff is also very polite, friendly, and honest. We got the wrong change once and they stopped us on the street as we were walking by the next day to give us the remainder. We will miss this place when we move next month :(

This is a great neighborhood market that I frequent anytime I'm staying at my cousin's in North Beach. It has the great selection of a neighborhood market that knows what it's customers want and need. It also happens to be right next door to the country's first Swensen's Ice Cream, so you can grab a cone for your walk back. It is also convenient to the bus lines that run up and down Union.

Love this place. Sure beats getting into your car because you forgot something. Has saved my butt more than once. Thank you for being a comfy corner market.

This grocery store is excellent. Particularly, the woman who is the cashier, so nice and with a huge smile in her face all the time.

Great selection of wine and beer. If you feel like splurging they have high end bottles like johnny blue and dom.

Have most everything you need. Awesome wine selection at a variety of prices.
