Rockfish Food and Wine

Absolute RAVE!! Our waitress was amazing, the owner is so sweet. The food and drinks are out of this world. Would recommend this spot to everyone, it makes for the perfect date night.
Our order: Short Rib w/greens and fingerling potatoes, Dirty Rice & Black Beans w/chicken, and 2 Raspberry White chocolate cheese cake slices.

Had a wonderful dinner celebrating my husbands birthday. The calamari was light and flavorful. My filet was cooked to perfection and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his scallops. The sides were perfect combinations. The wine was superb as always. Highly recommend!

The owner and staff take pride from the moment you walk through the doors. Great wine selections with an array of dishes for any palate. The duck was on point, the filet was cooked to perfection, and nothing but positives on the chicken. Thank you so much for such an amazing evening with friends enjoying a perfect night. Had a great time here. Fantastic live jazz performance. Good service. Calamari appetizer, tuna, and duck mains were all wonderful. Good drink selections and prices. Particularly liked the wine flight option- great deal. Would avoid the shrimp cocktail. Overall an awesome place, that we look forward to visiting again.

Excellent! This was my first time here but won’t be the last! The service was great, and the food was delicious and fresh. We had the fish special, the snapper, the crab cakes and the ahi and everything was prepared perfectly. The portions are perfect size. We also had the charcuterie and calamari which were both very good. The apple cobbler was a delicious end to the evening. The ambiance is quiet and romantic, which seems very hard to find in Roanoke. It would be a perfect date night spot. It wasn’t inexpensive, but it was worth it!

Very nice restaurant indeed. Our first time there was super nice we had the whole place to ourselves. We had reservations for 830pm and didn't know the kitchen closed at 9pm . The staff did an awesome job with our meals . We loved it and will definitely go again. Thank you for a great dinner .

My husband and I met another couple for dinner. We had not been to this restaurant before. The hostess was warm and friendly and sat us where we requested. The wine and beer selection was appealing, although the wine prices were expensive. The entree menu does not offer extensive options, but everything was delicious and well-presented. Our server was helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the experience and plan to go back!

Rockfish food and wine turned out to be one of my most treasured restaurants in Roanoke. I had a perfectly cooked scallop meal complimented with coconut rice and asparagus. They have a great selection of wine and craft beer. The service is outstanding with a cozy atmosphere perfect for dining. We will definitely go back.

We had a large group of 50+ people coming to Roanoke for an event and needed to find a place that could take all of us for dinner on a Thursday evening. Found Rockfish on a "Best of Roanoke" list and reached out a week before our arrival date. Spoke with Olivia (the owner) who suggested that for a group our size that we reserve the restaurant for a private event, which we did. Olivia customized a menu for us consisting of a set of appetizers which would be served right when people arrived, a choice of 2 salads (mixed greens and caesar), 3 entrees (red snapper, filet mignon and chicken) and 3 desserts (apple cobbler, mocha truffle torte, cheesecake)...all items from their regular menu.

Suffice it to say the evening was a huge success. The restaurant space was elegant, the food was fantastic, and the service/staff could not have been better. Huge thanks to Olivia and Rockfish Food and Wine for everything...exceeded our expectations in every respect.

This was my wife and I first time eating at Rockfish. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely for a pre-valentine's day dinner. The wasabi and sesame crusted salmon was exceptional.

Oh yeah! Snapper, veggie soup, scallops, tuna dishes - and then there was the Terry Brown Ascension Project with tunes AMAZING! Good choice Oliver and crew!

Always an excellent meal & enjoyable atmosphere! I enjoyed the sea bass special. Wine selections well curated & reasonable. We shared a bottle of red Hernandez de Gambia from Portugal.

Olivia and the staff at Rockfish are fantastic. If there were 6 stars I’d mark all 6. Fried oysters appetizer with homemade remoulade was fabulous. Just the right breading and tender oysters. Duck Breast and Seared Tuna for dinner… My husband travels all over the world and he said the duck breast was over the top. Olivia recommended a perfect wine pairing. My seared tuna was perfection! This is one of our favorite places in Roanoke.

Rockfish is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service are always great, and we love the atmosphere. It's casual but not loud so you can actually have a conversation. Love Rockfish!

We have been several times now. The food is always phenomenal. The service is exceptional. It's a quiet hidden gem of a place. Whenever my husband asks where I'd like to go for something special Rockfish is my answer. It's my new favorite!

We arrived right on time for our reservation and were promptly seated at hands down the best table in the house (right by the window)! Servers were wonderful and just the right level of attentive. Atmosphere was calm and lovely. Food was terrific, I ordered the flounder and caesar salad. Wine list was great! Definitely recommend for a nice quiet/intimate dinner! (I've heard their brunch is also great, so I'll be coming back for that!)

The calamari with yumyum sauce was the best ever. Very lightly cooked and delicious. I had the duck breast medium rare and it was incredible. My gal chose the catfish with grits and cannellini beans. Everything was perfect. Great service, quiet atmosphere.

Great service, and the menu options were very good. Wife and I shared the She Crab Bisque, fried oysters with greens. All very nicely seasoned, and great flavors. Wife had the salmon and I the beef medallions. Both excellent and paired well with the Klinker Brick Cabernet. We will be back for sure! A++
