Somers Sunshine Cafe

We were extremely hesitant on whether or not we wanted to try this place based on the reviews.
But boy oh boy are we glad we did!
We were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess and our name was put on the wait list. It was after church so we knew we were going to face having to wait...no biggie. 10 minutes went by and our name was called. Keep in mind this place was super busy. All of the servers were moving quickly and no one was just standing around doing nothing.
We were seated with menus and within a few minutes our server was at our table taking our drink order. She came with a smile and a super great personality - Reese (I believe was her name). She came back with our drink order and we still needed a few minutes to decide so she left long enough for us to decide but not long enough to forget about us.
They were out of the stuffed French toast - which totally bummed my Hubby out but she quickly recommended French toast with a personalized touch to his liking.
The order came out perfect and everything was fresh and hot.
The French toast was excellent.
The burger that my son had was super tasty and super filling.
I had the biscuits and gravy. I am SUPER picky when it comes to biscuits. But let me tell you people....this place hands down is one of my favorite places for biscuits. Fresh...hot...fluffy but not too fluffy and definitely not a rock hard dense hockey buck. Soooooo good! 👍
I am really glad we didn't listen to the reviews because this place, as my husband says - "it's my new favorite breakfast place".

And honestly as we could hear and watch other servers moving amongst the restaurant, they really all seemed to have upbeat personalities and was working hard.

If you have to had a good experience, try it again. Everyone has bad days.

5 stars are not enough, we give it a 10 plus. Okay, I must say that I was very impressed with the meals that we had, and they have some of the best coffee ever, I had the most amazing Country Fried Steak and eggs with the sausage gravy, that is by far it's own food group, my husband had an amazing Denver Omelet, and our son had the Sunshine classic (I think that's what it is called), and he said the ham is amazing, yes we shall definitely be returning here quite often, and our waitresses were super sweet and so nice, very good Sunshine Cafe, very good 😊

First visit, we were seated quickly, wait staff was friendly and efficient.
Biscuits and gravy 😋 were delicious! Rarely can you find delicious biscuits and gravy!
Price for the amount of food was reasonable. In town for a little side work but was a great choice! Highly recommend stopping by!

First time eating here with a relative. We both had the steak omelette which was great. You can upgrade your pancakes from buttermilk to whole grain pancakes which I did for an additional $2.00. It would be nice if real Vermont maple syrup was offered as an option but it isn't. We didn't realize it but after having to get the bill corrected for something that we ordered but never received, we were given a 10% senior discount. Why the discount wasn't on the original bill is beyond me as I definitely look over age 55 being 73. It was very busy so the service was slow but it was worth the wait. I'm from Jupiter but I come up to Palm Bay to see relatives. Bottom line is that Id go back to eat here again.

As someone who can be picky about breakfast, I have to say that Somers breakfast was top notch. Everything was cooked exactly as I expected it and tasted very good. The service was prompt and pleasant. It was like taking a step back in time to a day when people actually cared both about their service and the food they served. I will be going back.

Good breakfast food with lots of options. But what is really outstanding is the waitress staff. Not only efficient, but they bring joy and fun to your breakfast table without being intrusive. I will definitely return.

A wonderful surprise! Was not modern. But the food was amazing, and our waitress Reese was an absolute gem of a server. Very on the ball, happy demeanor and intuitive to customers. Great prices and great food!

We met up family for breakfast and we were immediately seated and had our coffee in minutes. I had the usual bacon and eggs and my wife had pancakes and bacon. Both were delicious. We very much enjoyed our breakfast.

We had been meaning to try out Sunshine Cafe since it switched from IHOP, and finally got the chance. It took about twenty minutes to be sat, but it was a Sunday morning after church. The servers were very prompt and friendly, and had no issue with customizing an order. The food was actually really good, way better than back when it was IHOP, despite the menus being pretty similar. But the kitchen seemed slow, not sure if it was because of the crowd or something else. Prices seemed fairly reasonable, portions were good, not huge but we still took home leftovers. All in all, we will definitely come back.

Amazingly great find, the food is sooo good that you will end up overeating 😁 Friendly and prompt service, all staff was wonderful! Total value for money!

It was Thursday, I went there while my bike was getting serviced and it was recommended by the dealership. The servers were well-versed with the menu and saved me from making a mistake. When I asked about the grits for today, she actually said, save my choice for another time when the grits were done correctly. Apparently she likes grits also and they were not up to her standard. Thank you and I left an extra big tip.

I lived in the area a long time, this used to be an old International House of Pancake, that was horrible so for the longest time when it turned into Summers sunshine cafe I didn't give it a try. Since then I have and I have never been disappointed I've been there at least a half dozen times waitresses are very friendly and attentive and the food has always been perfect. Great breakfast

Always busy, The food is inexpensive and great! We always get the same waitress when we go in, by request! And we enjoy our dining experience there.

1st visit. Busy, but we were seated quickly. Good attentive service. I had the chicken and waffle. The food wasn't over priced. The only thing I noticed was some of the ceiling tiles being stained. One of the AC vents seemed to have some dirt or debris coming from it. Maybe some of the money spent on the security cameras could have been spent on the ceiling tiles and vent cleaning. I didn't plan on going off on this tangent. I should have checked the bathroom just to see how that is kept up. Food was good, service was better. We will absolutely be back.

Great first time experience, the wait was about 15-20min, service was awesome, the food was great, portions good, variety good Mariah was the best server ever. It was refreshing to have a good breakfast experience at a restaurant since it seems lately every place and every one blames staffing for the bad service and bad food... I'll be going back for sure.

First time here! We had breakfast on our way to a ball game. Place was packed with a line out the door. It took about 10 minutes to be seated. If you saw the line you'd be as surprised as we were. The food was excellent and Annie our surver was definitely a pro! Brought everything in one trip and with a smile. Thankfully annie was our server, she made our day. Give this place a try and start your day of right.

First time here.Great service and food. Took a bit to get our order in but they were pretty busy. It was worth the wait. Everything was cooked as ordered and tasted great! Great menu choices too. We did breakfast this time. I can't wait to try more items.
