My first visit was impressive with all the thorough care they took to examine my teeth. First time in many years I got this kind of exam. The staff were very caring and friendly and there was a fun atmosphere in the dentist room with the hygienist and staff, as well. Dr. Ertl was also very nice and informative and took the time to explain things needing to be done. I highly recommend this office so far.

Everybody was so helpful, nice, professional and the place was very clean. The receptionist did a great job to help me with my appointment. My hygienist Anna was fantastic! She was very thorough, patient, and knowlegeable. The Doctor was absolutely fantastic!

I can definitely say this practice is the most compassionate dental practice I’ve ever been to. The hygienists are wonderful and sweet, and Dr. Ertl is informative and actively communicates treatment recommendations and plans in a concise and direct way that actually makes sense. I love having a provider that is so straight forward and accommodating for any questions I may have. Shoutout to Sabreena and Anna for taking such good care of me with my anxiety around dental visits and procedures. With every visit, my anxiety around dental care lessens more and more. Thanks for everything you do!

Wonderful staff! Took me in even though I wasn't a patient there. My family recommended them and I was not disappointed. I lost a crown and was totally devastated about it until the friendly staff reassured me that they could help in a timely manner and also affordable way.

As a 68 year old who has gone regularly to dentists throughout my life, all over the country, I have to say that was the most pleasant and thorough experience I’ve ever had as a new patient. Top shelf across all the staff!!

I Definitely had a good experience with this dentist office today after being away for a length of time.

I can't say enough about the wonderful staff at Laurelwood. They are compassionate, sensitive, considerate, and darn good at what they each do. I have neglected my dental care the past 5 years and as a result, I have 2 get numerous fillings and 2 root canals but never once did they make me feel bad about it. They have shown compassionate and understanding and I value how transparent & informative they are with every step they take with my care. I have been living with pain for at least 6 months and fairly intense pain the past month but in just 3 appts with them the past 2 days, I have amazing relief, constant headache & ear pain have subsided, and I could eat without pain. We still have a ways to go with the root canals next and additional fillings but such a difference in a short amount of time. A really great cleaning by Sabrina and the completion of 2 fillings today by Dr. Ertl & team has already eased it quit a bit.

I just moved from out of state and I was needing a dentist to put a filling in my front tooth which was chipped. They did a fabulous job and they were quick to get me scheduled. I have chipped this tooth before and previous dentists can never get the correct color match and this time it was perfect.

Dr. Ertl, the dental assistance, hygienists and front desk staff are all so friendly and good at what they do.

By far the best dentist experience I have had. Have been to a few different ones since moving to Asheville and first visit here I knew I’d be staying with them, even though my insurance wasn’t accepted. Decided to get their yearly plan instead which was super affordable. The energy is always positive and even with 6 months between cleanings it’s like you walk in and just saw them yesterday, they really show they care and make you feel welcome. And on top of that do an amazing job! 10/10 recommend.

I switched to laurelwood many years ago after my previous dentist started suggesting that I have a bunch of fillings...even though i was having no trouble with any of my teeth.  Well, it turns out that none of the teeth needed fillings after all!!!  So, a big thank you to Matt and his team for being honest professionals who, I feel, are genuinely determined to provide the absolute best dental care possible for their patients. My teeth are still fully intact thanks to you!

I also wanted to add...after reading through some of the other reviews, I honestly have to wonder if some of the people actually went to laurelwood family dentistry. Perhaps they are confusing laurelwood with another business?

Dr. Ertl and his staff are amazing and very friendly. The front desk, dental assistant, dental hygienist, and Dr. Ertl all greeted me with a smile and made me feel comfortable. I walked in their office a little nervous and they put all of my fears to rest by answering my questions and providing solutions. I wish I could remember the lady’s name that cleaned my teeth because she’s the best hygienist I’ve ever had in my life. Not only was she very gentle and empathetic, she was very excited to clean my teeth and I could tell she loves her job. That made me feel really good, and because she loved it so much, she was thorough with everything she did and she didn’t appear to be rushed. I hope I get her every time. I highly recommend them if anyone is considering.

I wanted to update this review because since my first visit I have been back a few times and the hygienist I previously commented about is Anna. I absolutely love her and I had to go in today for deep cleaning but Anna was out on maternity leave so I got Sabreena and she is equally amazing! I get very nervous because I didn’t have good experiences at the dentist as a child. Dr. Ertl is also amazing and so kind. They make sure I don’t have any pain or discomfort. Wonderful people and very professional! I wish I could rate them 5 stars twice.

I had a new patient consult and cleaning today at Laurelwood and it was a great experience. My dental hygienist, Anna, was super kind and good at explaining everything. The dentist was friendly, all were respectful of my time, and I will definitely go back. I would recommend!
