My wife found this place and we were super excited to visit. It is about an hour drive for us, but we love checking out new parks, especially dog friendly with water! There is a designated dog beach that is just small enough, yet just big enough, not to mention the miles and miles of trails to walk!

Deeeeep breath. That's what it's like. Gorgeous overlook of local waters - well maintained walking/jogging and cycling paths. People are friendly and everything is beautifully kept up regardless of the season. Thank you to all the rangers, employees and volunteers for keeping this place so beautiful.

Wonderful, safe, clean, well maintained park for families! There's a small entrance fee. Walk for miles in beautiful woods with very few invasive species, filled with deer in August. Bring a basket for lunch at the multitude of picnic tables and playgrounds. Rent a kayak or SUP, Stand up panel board with Capital Sup and paddle the bay. The bay water is hot, like bathwater, and full of stinging nettles. ( jellies ).Or just sit and watch the sunset. During summer, enjoy outdoor concerts and composting demonstrations. Reservations needed for pavilions. Dog friendly. Did I mention a dog park and dog beach?Beautiful gardens near the visitors center. No swimming for humans. The Visitors center closes at 4pm. A few scattered port-a-potties. I just can't help but wonder where are all the birds? Paved walking and biking paths.

This is a great place to go to quiet your brain. There are several paved hiking trails through lovely wooded and waterfront areas. There are many species of wild animals, deer, foxes, blue herons, jellyfish, and more. You can't get too close to them, but if you're very careful, you can get to photo range. (I took these pictures with my cell phone)

There is a fishing area, a dog park and a dog beach, picnic areas and an area where they have concerts in the summer.

It's a great place to get away from it all.

Lovely park, lots of paved trails for bike rides and walking. There are a lot of shaded areas, too, and beautiful picnic areas. The sculpture garden was also beautiful.

Earth Day - Helping to clean the trails from litter. Beautiful view of the river. Lots of shade on the wide paths. Roadways are also used by people riding bikes. There are several areas to have a picnic. There is a central building with activities inside and outside. Dogs are allowed, but they must be on a leash. There are canoes to rent as well.
They had billy goats 🐐 from Kinder Farm and Adopt-a-Pet personnel with a few dogs to adopt.
Very well kept! There were food trucks there that day. Reasonably priced.

Beautiful Park with a natural lake. Docks, trails, compost demonstration, dog park on the shore, ample parking, but there is an entry free.

Had a great mums day out hiking with the children. Staff is really helpful and friendly. Entrance is $6 per vehicle (card or cash). Plenty of outdoor space to walk, hike, play, have a picnic etc. Had my maternity photoshoot here a few years ago. Great places to take pictures. Playground was through enjoyed by all 5 children in group (aged 2-7 yrs).

Love it here! Such a fun time outdoors with our children here. There's a playground area, picnic tables, a beautiful garden with a sitting area and one may even sit to read a book, water fountains, get some shade under the many tall & beautiful trees or at the gazebo, cross over a walking bridge & view some turtles in or around the water. Yes there's a small entrance fee but it's worth it & there's indoor restrooms at one building so that's certainly a plus. We even just enjoyed a day date picnic in the middle of the week instead of on a weekend like when we go with the kiddos. It's so beautiful and peaceful just walking around and seeing nature even some deer as well as just relaxing by the water. I took a few pictures from a recent visit. With all that said I do recommend Quiet Waters Park so if you get to go see for yourself.

Great place to go and relax. They have a pretty good hockey rink and a lot of gardens. Love hiking through there. Also rode bikes through there. It isn’t that crowded early and late. There is a stage on a big grass hill. No idea if they still use it or not.

First time visiting and it is just beautiful. Loads of trails with informatio... one had plethora ofvcomposting, there were very old farm tools I think they were sprinkled in and just a walkers prime nature place.

There's gazebos throughout the park, fountains, statues, metal art and a couple of areas for pet owners of various sizes. There is a fee to enter for every vehicle but there is a bonus for those 60+. The fee is lifetime, one time payment. The 60+ must be in the car w/ID.

The lady at the check-in was fast, fun and very informing. This was really a fun day out. I'll definitely be back as I want to see the foundation filled up. The view of the water was splendid and relaxing. There were a lot of people here but none were crowded upon each other's partying, enjoying and/or relaxing. Park Rangers ride through frequently for all things safety.

Very nice outdoor rink in a beautiful park setting. Friendly attendants and reasonable price. It costs $6 per car to get into the park itself. Ice quality was good, but it was very quiet so not much wear. Quality of skates was about what you can expect from rentals, but perfectly adequate to get comfortably around on a small track. Ice is attended by guard. Good for kids.

Visited for the first time today and absolutely LOVE this place. I’ve always loved Druid Hill Park for its walking and sporting activities along with reservoir but this place tops it. It has boats, docks, a lake and ocean (Chesapeake Bay I’m assuming). Plan to pay a $6 entrance fee per vehicle, but it’s worth it. Bathrooms and grounds well kept! Nice place for singles, families, dogs...

Great park for cycling, running, walking, dog walking. Most trails are wooded, and so they provide shade on hot days.
Many Pavilions (must reserve use). A few areas of pretty trees, landscaping. And, of course, a lookout point and short walking path along the water.

Gorgeous park with lots of walking trails and green space for picnicking and grilling. Family- and dog-friendly. Cute dog beach area that we'll come back for after the pandemic. Too many people walking around without masks right now (about half).
