DARK HORSE

This is not what i was expecting at all in a really wonderful way. The music selection was really great and even with all of the screens with sports, i didn't feel like it was sensory overload. The stickers around the bar and the different flags and banners hanging really bought personality into the space. The staff are so attentive and treated us like we were regulars. The wings were delicious and that old bay buffalo sauce is fantastic. I loved that the cheese fries had a combination of shedded cheese and cheese sauce. It kept the fries from being too soggy but kept a good cheese to fry ratio. My husbands sandwich was very generous. I will definitely come back!

A very local filled dive bar with big portions and fair prices. Very lively for the area, the bartenders are super welcoming and the food is comforting.

Prices might be high for some but stick with the weekly deals.

There’s darts, a pool table, and small tables in the back to hang around and chat.

The food is good and I do regret not ordering the tater tots.

Best Fish Sandwich (I’d show you, but it’s gone!), mac-n-cheese and tots! Never had a bad meal here since it became the Dark Horse. Great people and service too.

Great local bar for hot dogs and drinks. Staff were excellent and the hot dog selection was great! Looking forward to exploring the menu more. Had the chile cheese dog (and added jalapeños).

Yesterday was my first time here since the Ebb Tide became Dark Horse. I still miss Ebb Tide, but Dark Horse does have a good atmosphere. And I actually may have had the best chicken sandwich ever. Staff was great, welcoming, and service was fast. Will definitely be back, especially since drinks are priced well and it's in walking distance.

Watched the USA vs Iran game and the England vs wales game here while I was on vacation in the area from U.K.
Fabulous experience to get a feel of a real USA bar that's busy and local , beers were good and. servers were lovely , England and USA won so everyone was happy lots of sports memorabilia on the walls which was cool , great to watch the games especially Soccer (football to me🏴??????)

My wife and I decided to try dark horse and were were not disappointed. The food and service were great. We will definitely be back soon.

Love this dive bar! IMO, they have the best wings in Annapolis. Love the half size apps.

Cozy locals pub with friendly and attentive servers. Surprisingly decent beer selection for a relatively small bar. Great for grabbing a couple beers on a hot afternoon.

Dark Horse is the best version of a local tavern. It's a little-divey, the food is greasy in just the way you want, and the patrons are just on the right side of rowdy.

We had our after party for our wedding at Dark Horse since it was not far from the venue (and, more importantly, very close to our AirBnB). Our reception was a Sunday night, and while I imagine it may not have been their top choice to have a bunch of wedding guests show up at 11pm (we gave them a heads up well ahead of time that we would be coming), they were friendly and accommodating.

It was a great place to end a fun and exhausting day. Our guests gradually trickled away until it was just my husband and I and our siblings. One of my favorite memories of the whole event was our final toast of the night with just us and them. Thanks Dark Horse for be the perfect punctuation to our wedding day.

New go to for carry out. Low price, big portions, and excellent fresh food. The old Epp Tide had a good chef salad, but the stale moldy smell and cramp feeling of the place just didn't encourage me to return. The new Dark Horse has a great food smells, they did a good job remodeling inside, it feels more spacious, and will remember them based on my ordering experience, the food, and friendly service. I hope they add back the chef salad as it appears they have all the ingredients based on my order.

This was my first post pandemic encounter that clearly demonstrated a return to normalcy where food can be picked up until normal bar closing time in Maryland? This is particularly important during tax season when a CPA finally finds the time to eat only to learn that everything that could be freshly prepared is closed.

I took a chance and ordered the gyro since the earthquake destroyed the old go-to spot. It was perfect. My client said the club sandwich was excellent and both items had a generous portion of meat. The salad and sandwich toppings were fresh and showed no sign of wilting. Wasn't a fan of the bacon on the deviled eggs, but would order again without bacon. Was surprised they offered them given the egg shortage. The client was happy with the bacon on his sandwich.

Ordering on line was seamless with the exception that I had to look at the pdf file to see what was included on the sandwiches which accurately described the items I ordered but undercut just how good the sides, meat, and toppings on each sandwich that were priced pre-pandemic. The text came through immediately after the order with a pick up time. It was ready on time and included all items ordered which is increasingly rare for Annapolis pickup or delivery orders. The tzatziki is underneath the meat, fetta, onions, and chopped tomatoes. I wasn't sure, but they friendly offered a side of tzatziki when I looked confused. Turned out I didn't need the side as they had my desired hefty helping of tzatziki. I will go back and try their reburn to see it they actually have Russian dressing where most just throw on French.

The outside still doesn't look all that appealing, but don't let that stop you from going inside or ordering curb side. You won't be disappointed and will help ensure we can have a good sandwich for those of us who work into the wee hours.

Can't express an opinion on it being the best sports bar in town, but they did have wall to wall TVs that appeared to be current on the tech scale. Most advertise wall to wall, but it appeared they were wall to wall during pick up.

Not many neighborhood bars left, but this is definitely one of them. Wasn't there more than 3 minutes before I was talking to locals. Great place for sports with countless screens. Burger and fries were solid. We will be back.

What an awesome place! Me and my fiancé had the pleasure of dining with the owner Pinky at a restaurant, she mentioned her bar Dark Horse in our conversation and we went to check it out that very same evening. Oh what fun! Service was great and the band was awesome. We will be going back😃😃

What a lovely experience! The staff are all friendly, helpful, and attentive. I had the deviled eggs, which were scrumptious! There was a nice little heat to them that livened them right up 👍😁

I also had the Greek Dog, which was flavourful and light. The toppings were perfect for a warm summer day.

I will definitely be back to sample more of their menu, I'm looking forward to it!

I had the Bacon Cheeseburger today and it was outstanding! Perfectly cooked, tasty, and enormous! Just what I needed for a hearty lunch 👍😍😍😍

It is my favorite new place! Wonderful experience, great food and a cool vibe. I read a review by someone that gave it a bad review and I don’t don’t think my dogs would like them. My dogs are excellent judges of character. They can smell petty and small minded people in a heartbeat. If you can’t say something nice about people who are trying like hell to serve you under very stressful circumstances then please stay at home and criticize your own taste in furnishings.

Love Dark Horse. Great place to grab a drink and unwind. The owners are awesome too!

The first time there, but will definitely return! I have had fish & chips around the world and without a doubt, they were some of the best and the fries were exceptional! I sat socially distant outside under the umbrella which was perfect! Thanks Abigail for the quick service!

If the Ebb Tide had to go, this is the best choice to replace it! That sounds snarky, but not meant to be. Fun place. Friendly staff. Dogs are great and portions are plentiful. A great addition to the Annapolis Neck.
