Sugar Creek Seafood Restaurant

My wife and I decided to try this restaurant while in Nags Head, and we sure enjoyed it. Nice to sit at a window looking out over the sound and enjoy a great meal. We both had fried oysters that were so good. Waitress was very friendly and helpful to answer and questions we had.

Our experience at Sugar Creek was absolutely fantastic! Leanna, our server, was really friendly and attentive. The crab dip and shrimp with grits were highlights for sure - although honestly, everything we ordered was just delicious. And, of course, when it comes to catching the sunset, there's no other restaurant in the area that even comes close. We can't wait to grab another meal there on our next Outer Banks visit!

Carson was our waiter and was fantastic. He grew up in the area, so he shared places we should experience.

Food was great!

We had reservations for a party of 21 on July 29, 2023. When we arrived we were promptly brought to our table, a large one, in our own room. It was perfect! Amber was our waitress, she was AWESOME! She handled our group without any issues. We couldn’t have asked for anything better on our last night of our family vacation. Thank you Sugar Creek for allowing us to make memories!

Sugar Creek is one of our favorites. We eat there at least once each time we visit the OBX. The early bird shrimp special is exceptional and their fries are delicious! The fried clams, shrimp and grits, swordfish, cornbread and cheese grits are all delicious! Servers are always friendly and our meals are delivered quickly and they are always hot. As for the view, it is gorgeous!!

Definitely recommend this to all our friends and family when the visit the OBX!!

First time eating here but won't be the last. We got there early and went right in. The fried Fish Platter came out in only a short time cooked to perfection. Waitress kept an eye on our needs. Will be back. Came back this year and was not disappointed.

Food and service were top-notch (the coconut crusted shrimp were insanely good!) and the view was beautiful. Highly recommend this place!

One of my new favorite restaurants in OBX! Food was delicious and the view was gorgeous. We sat on the porch so it was even better. I had the catfish and it was amazing! The corn bread tasted homemade!

This place serves hot food!! Apparently must people don't know this. Please stop by and get some of their awesome meals! We got shrimp poboy and cajan fish bites. Their okra was great and their sweet potato fries super yummy. You must try their special in house sauces like their boom boom and sweet chili. They have outdoor seating overlooking the water and a gazebo on the water. You can watch the sunset from the porch and it's so beautiful.

We came for lunch and everything was wonderful. Prompt service, seating where we asked, and a very friendly server. We didn’t even get photos of our food, but it looked, smelled and tasted wonderful. I had the yellowfin tuna and my husband had fried flounder, the kids had a grilled chicken sandwich and no complaints anywhere. The cornbread they bring out with real whipped butter was basically dessert! Don’t miss out on this delicious place, and if the weather is nice try sitting outside so you can see the views!

Whenever I'm in town, I make it a point to stop here at least once for dinner. Recommend any seafood they have.

The food was amazing and was ready very fast. This is another restaurant that seems short staffed after COVID, but our waitress was very friendly and was moving fast. We had the seafood pasta and the coconut shrimp dinner and both were great! Prices were reasonable for the quality and portions. We sat on the porch and the sunset was absolutely breathtaking! There is also a cute little boutique jewelry store inside the restaurant that also sells other beachy souvenirs and tshirts. Great romantic date restaurant.

Food was good with good quality for the price. Waitresses and hostess were very friendly. Very understanding considering we were eating with am infant. Great views for lunch. Will return when we come back this area

Came in just in time for a magnificent sunset!
Had a party of five and we had the whole shebang, cocktails, apps, dinners and desserts.
Staff was very friendly and accomodating..
Food was delicious and expertly prepared.
The fried green tomatoes, scallops and crab cakes were delish.
Highly recommend saving room for dessert.

Yummy!!! Very short wait on a busy night. Food was hot and delicious for everyone in our family. My granddaughter loved the hush puppy's. Server was very nice and attentive. Definitely a must to come back.

Delicious food and an even better view. We had the steamed seafood platter (so much food) chicken tenders, and chicken stir fry. Everyone left satisfied. Plus the fish jumping out of the water was amazing entertainment.

Everything was perfect! My fiancé ordered the prime rib steak. I had to taste it considering how juicy and delicious it looked...and was not disappointed at all. It was actually the best steak I've ever tasted. I had the salmon with wild rice and asparagus, all of which was phenomenal too. Great service, atmosphere and lovely decor as well.

Definitely stop here if you are in the area. The food is amazing, the people are nice, nice little gift shop, and great views out of the windows all around the whole place. Plenty of parking too.

Yummy seafood galore! They took a take out order from us late (which was awesome) and everything was delicious. Generous portions that fed my big family. The hush puppies were so good too. Highly recommend and I will let the pics do the talking about the food itself.

Very friendly staff. Food was delicious..we came for the Easter buffet.. good variety & everything moved smoothly even though they were quite busy. Great view of the sound & prices were reasonable
