Oceans East Bait and Tackle - Nags Head

Oceans East Bait and Tackle- Nags Head is phenomenal. The store may not appear large from the outside, but boy oh boy are you in for a treat! It is clean, well-organized, and FILLED with incredible fishing tackle. Whether you are looking slay some monsters offshore or wade fish in the sound for trout and drum, they have what you need. And in my opinion, they have some of the most friendly and knowledgeable employees to guide you in the right direction for your fishing needs. Often, I find bait stores can be elusive and better than, but Oceans East makes you feel right at home. They also have an excellent selection of apparel, including Oceans East designed comfort color brand shirts.

This store is amazing!! The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to help in any way possible. Shelton actually stopped what he was doing to help us with all our questions (where to fish at, what to use...). The fresh bait is great! You can also get your ice and just about anything you need here. Thanks for the great hospitality!!

They actually have people that will help you here, went to the other big tackle shop in town and nobody around to help me.

I always stay in Southern Shores or duck, but I will drive 30 or more minutes and past 5 tackle shops to shop here, and give them my business. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff especially Shelton who has always went out of his way to answer my questions when I purchased two combos and a lot of tackle. Probably the best bait and tackle shop I've ever been in. They have a massive selection of rods and reels in stock as well as terminal tackle. Good prices on bait. Very friendly staff and informative as well. If you are in the OBX and need a bait and tackle stop just go here.

Great place friendly and knowledgeable people they took the time to go over good fishing spots and gave good tips on catching different spieces well stocked with everything thing you need to fish from first timers to the pros

One of the best all around tackle shops in Kill Devel hills

Best part of a 900 mile trip was right here. Super helpful and very patient guy behind the counter answered all of my many questions, got me the license I needed to fish, and helped me find everything I needed to fish at my hotel five towns north up route 12. He knew everything! Go here if you're in the southern states. Visit from the north if you can.

I recently moved from Florida to North Carolina and over 90% of my fishing experience has been inside. I am excited about learning how to fish the surf at the Outer Banks. Shelton and Katherine at Oceans East were awesome assisting me Saturday. From equipment selection, type of tackle, fishing line including where to fish, the best times and effective techniques. I will be an ongoing customer. When you go be sure to ask Katherine about her fishing team. Great stories.

Excellent customer service and BUOY Boots so cute you have to buy them and send them to the Grandsons. Huge tackle selection and bait coolers outside are always full of bait shrimp and mullet.
If you can't rake your own sandfleas they have those frozen as well. They can spool your reel, license you and keep you from getting a sunburn with the Sunbum line.
Sunny outside? They have PLENTY of sunglasses too. Y'all stop in and buy something. Don't steal from them. They work hard for their money like you and I do.

Chris is a great guy and very knowledgeable I am from western MD and come down to the banks multiple weekends and vacation with family several times a year. This place is a great well stocked AND ABOVE ALL they stand behind the products they sell . Recently I had a 5 o'clock Friday pole that lasted 2 trips out and broke in a really odd place Chris exchanged it no B.S guy I plan to do more business with them and if yall need anything I would look these guys up

SHOP HERE! They have a knowledgeable and friendly staff, large selection of fishing gear, high quality accessories, and fresh bait. The main guy working there spoke with me for about 10 minutes and got me set up to catch a variety of fish. Really enjoyed my experience here!

We always stop here before heading to Jenettes Peir. They have all your bait and tackle needs! I love coming here. Friendly staff and always well stocked.
