Let’s begin by saying this place does not disappoint! The food, the service, the staff are friendly and welcoming. We finished up our anniversary celebration with their delicious wild game burger and incredibly crispy and delicious fries. The waiter and bar tender worked together to make me an AMAZING Mudslide! I was able to purchase a pretty souvenir wine glass like the one my Mudslide came in to commemorate our 45th anniversary. Thank you all for a great evening!

On a recent beautiful outing to Manteo, we had the chance to stop at the Lost Colony Tavern. We chose to sit at the bar and start off by having a flight of Lost Colony Brews. We were not disappointed with the sampling and soon ordered a larger version of our favorite. They had a display of multiple types of pickled eggs. My husband who cannot turn down deviled eggs happily tried different flavors. We each had a soft pretzel which could easily be split between two people and were almost too stuffed to eat our burgers. Somehow we survived and managed to make room for more the food was great! The atmosphere fun, and comfortable. Enjoyed sitting at the bar and talking with locals and soaking up the laid back feeling in this small waterfront town . Would highly recommend stopping in for one of their brews, a pretzel and if you have room, their dishes are great, then set off to walk around the town and help you burn some calories. Cannot wait to go back!

Dusty's friendliness started when we walked inside. The jars of pickled eggs around the bar are an interesting touch, and they are good. We had the lamb burger and mushy peas. Mushy pies were great. The lamb burger and french fries were good. It's definitely worth a visit.

Super cool spot with decent pricing and great food and local beer! For all the gluten free people the fries are breaded but the wings are not! They also have some really cool merch in their hop shop, along with beer cans for purchase. I recommend their kill devil scotch ale, it's a really dark and sweet brew that tickles your mouth. Lots of fun places to walk around and shop outside as well!

We got here right at opening so we were able to get seated immediately, we quickly saw how popular the place is as about 30 minutes later there was already a waiting list. The food, especially the fries were sooo delicious! The drinks were delicious as well!

We stopped in for lunch. What was going to be an hour and a half wait turned into a 5 minute wait, as a reservation didn't show up. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Our food was excellent! I got the Nags Head CBLT. It was well portioned and delicious. The fries here are awesome! The pretzel was huge and very delicious. All of us left happy and satisfied. We definitely recommend this restaurant (make reservations in advance) and will be back!

We brought our dog and sat outside. The hostess was very welcoming and immediately brought our dog some water! We ordered a scotch egg appetizer and it was delicious! I had bangers & mash with mushy peas and it was excellent! The fries (chips) were perfectly crispy. My partner enjoyed his payers & slaw. Stop by the sho on your way out - the T-shirts are awesome and drawn locally. (It’s really fun fantasy art!) I hope to come back on my next visit!

Stopped into town after the Aquarium. Cute little spot.

Even though it was fairly busy, they still got us sat in about 10minutes. Got drinks and our meals ordered. Food was out pretty quickly.

Service was outstanding and the food was delicious.

Thanks, y'all!

Coming to Roanoke Island, check in for a meal at the Lost Colony Tavern & Brewery.
Serving cold beer made fresh right here & hot food from local purveyors.

Guinness stew was hearty, healthy and warming on a cold day. Fish & chips was fine, but lots different from traditional English fish & chips. It was all consumed, and greatly appreciated.

We shared a sampler of the Local Flight - 4 if they Lost Colony beers. And each was fine & we each found a favorite. And split a can of the Brown Ale too.

Note - they like Jameson here - lots behind the bar.

And, bathrooms are ADA compliant - and look for the doors with Old English phone boxes.

Depending on when you arrive, there may be a wait, but will be called when tables are free.

First time in Manteo on a weekend with my wife. We ducked in to check it out, stayed a couple hours. Good solid British / Irish beer selection. Super friendly and attentive owner and staff. Wife got Oysters and Chips (fries) and loved it. I got fish and chips. Owner claimed the fish was fresh and local from that morning and I 100% believe him. I've had fish and chips in Ireland, and honestly this rivaled that. Fish was tender and flavorful, batter was perfectly light. Mushed pea side was delicious. Tartar sauce and slaw tasted home made and were also great. Chips (fries) had good flavor and slight crispness.

Great conversation with friendly locals and again, warm staff, which is rare these days. We'll be back!

Good beer. Good spot. Good people. Is there anything more? Definitely stop in and have a beer. Dirt is the man and always keeps the party going! Really glad I finally got to stop in.

Amazing food, great beer and drink selections, terrific service! We had several dishes in our group that were delicious. The scotch egg was an outstanding surprise! This is a must try! Guinness stew was tender and flavorful. Fish and chips were fresh and perfectly cooked. Oysters were done to perfection. Beer flight and ales were very very good! And available for purchase next door! We did ! The sticky pudding was also very good and a perfect finish to a delicious meal! This is one of those places I wish was close to home because it would be a favorite. But now we will just have to wait till next year to go back and plan a few meals here!

Great lunch service from Izzy! One of the best Scotch Egg starters I've had. The Bangers & Mash was totally satisfying and the Irish Beer Brat Hoagie was excellent!!

Good was great, had the blue crab cake sandwich. Server Dusty was extremely friend and quick.

As for Victoria Gs review…from a hunter and individual who eats wild game often…don’t order wild game if you expect it to be well done…wild game isn’t to be cooked like a regular burger.

Our vegetarian hamburger was wonderful. It was the only vegetarian item on the menu but it was well prepared and it had a lot of flavor. It was hard to find vegetarian food around the area so we were happy to have crossed our path with the lost colony. The waitress was very kind and polite. There was a local musician playing that day and he was great. Over all we really liked the place. Even though I can only review as a vegetarian, I dare to say that the other meat items being served looked great.

My wife, daughter, and I ate lunch here shortly after visiting the Lost Colony museum on Roanoke Island. The wait time to be seated was only about 5 minutes. My wife had an English salad with grilled chicken, my daughter had fish and chips, and I had bangers and mash. The food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic! They also have an amazing gift shop. Bonus: if you're a beer drinker, I highly recommend the Irish beer flight. I'm sure the English beer flight is just as good.

Great food and beer flight with knowledgeable and helpful staff. I recommend the shrimp, wings, pretzel for sure and the fries are especially good. Also, check out the Hob Shop and grab merch with the artwork. The artist stopped in while we shopped so that was a treat.

We were quickly sat for a group of six, and our server was prompt and kind to us the entire time. She was very knowledgeable about the menu (we were out-of-towners and had questions on whats popular locally and what were her picks). Great experience, great drinks, and great English food.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite and ended up being there for almost 2 hrs. Awesome place and extremely welcoming!! They are having their St. Patrick's Festival which my partially Irish husband loved!! The bartender Michael was phenomenal and made sure I had some free coffee since I quickly became DD lol. Food was delicious!! We had the giant pretzel and whiskey burgers. Highly recommend!!

The ambiance is spot on to an authentic British pub (but even better) Every single staff member we encountered was exceptional (so fun, outgoing, helpful and really knew how to take care of their guests) As someone who used to be in London once a month for years I can tell you for certain they not only nailed the food but improved on the British recipes. I have gone back to the Lost Colony many times, it has become one of my all time favorite places to eat. You are always made to feel so welcomed and the food is simply spectacular. It's kind of hard to pick a favorite, honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I have never once had a bad experience, no restaurant is perfect and everyone has off days...I've yet to ever experience anything other that fantastic every single time. I'm looking forward to my next trip to the OBX so I can go back to the Lost Colony again!!!
