Absolutely beautiful grounds with paths and good for some geocatching. The lady at the desk has so much wonderful information with booklets and brochures for activities and eateries. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

This is a great place to stop for the cleanest bathrooms on the beach, there is a tourist bureau on site, the staff is very helpful. . As well there is picnic tables, and it is a pretty spot to stop at as well, with a extra bonus. .wheelchair ramp on one side. . I would highly recommended stopping in, and getting information of the Outer Banks ' they are very informative.

Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Quick snacks & cold cokes are available in the vending machines. Picnic tables are available outside around the building. Inside there are a lot of brochures about the area you can have. It is the Best place to stop before driving off the Outer Banks. It is a while until the next rest stop operated by the state of NC.

We were so happy to visit the Sarah Owens Welcome Center & Outer Banks Visitors Bureau Headquarters as we arrived at the Outer Banks! We were visiting relatives in North Carolina from Topeka, KS & decided on a day trip to the ocean.
The restrooms were exceptionally clean. We enjoyed walking around the area before driving on to Nags Head & Kitty Hawk.

Great place for local info, and to stop and stretch legs after long drives. There is a nice walking trail with views in the marsh, and very clean bathrooms. Ample parking and well lighted at night for a break.

Very nice visitor center with plenty info on what and where to see. Plus they have a nice long boardwalk out on the water next to the bridge to Roanoke Island.

I swear this is the nicest visitor center I've been stopping there for years and it has always been so nice and clean. Not sure when it opened but I'm pretty sure I started stopping there back when i got my license so that was 20 years ago lol. I make it a point to stop everytime I go

Great place to stop for information and ideas. My son is visiting and I just moved here a couple years ago and haven't been exploring. The stop was "for him" but I found a lot of ideas for myself as well!

This review is for the RV dump station. It is accessible, not busy, well constructed. Only non-potable water, which is not unusual. No waiting. Don't trust GPS. If headed west, the turn into the welcome canter is 9n the LEFT, not the right like the GPS tells you

Make this a first stop before you hit the shoreline. Grab your map, pamphlets and info on what's going on in the banks. Has bathrooms and a few souvenirs for sale.

Been here twice now. Very clean both times. It is a good place to stop if you're visiting Manteo or the Outer Banks. It has many brochures organized by area to learn about the many things to do around the area.
