Update" 2/2022. Love the ease and closeness of shopping here, prices if on sale are great, the meat was always the best ,but since Covid and especially the last few months it is harder to get meat items, as well as the produce isn't as good as it was in the past..it seems the meat& produce section are out or short supplied more often than not.. but my main issue is that the coupons I clip on my online site never work, and the cashiers don't really know any information about it as well.. hopefully with time that will improve.. as well as seeing the cost go back down a bit since they are definitely more expensive than in the past.. there are some great people working here and that with good customer service keeps me going back.. .. 2018" Always handy to shop close to home, especially if on the run.. and dont want to go all the way into Nags Head" as well the meat department is great. ..the deli great, and there's things you can purchase , that no other grocery store offers, which is pretty cool" the check out staff is always friendly and helpful. . Which I appreciate for sure.. so thanks to the entire staff and a shout out to Jamie' she's always ready to help in anyway she can". *10/10/2020.. update, the food arama is still doing all it can to accommodate its customers, is it perfect, what is during this covid pandemic.. there is almost always sanitizing wipes for the cats, and mask are seen on all I've encountered. I appreciate that as I have a compromised immune system and can only go in a few places, and thank you for doing all you can to keep the store clean. You all are appreciated"... thank you..

My first time there, ans it was very clean, comfortable, and quite. I found everything I needed with ease, the male cashier was very helpful with finding female products! They have a wide variety of selections especially wines, and beer at reasonable prices! Check it out!

Food-A-Rama has been a staple in Manteo for well over 30 years....they are locally owned and have things other stores might not, but they also are lacking some things you would find in larger grocery stores. My first real job was there and i support yhem whenever i am down there.

Clean friendly local grocery store, you feel at home. Good prices also.

More than just a "home town grocery store!" The owner/operators have always done their best to provide a well-stocked store, with a nice variety of products. And the hours of operation are good, especially when storms or unexpected events occur.

This is your store if you are in Manteo and don’t want to drive to Nags Head. Buy the wal-mart brand stuff when you are here because the regular brand stuff is very expensive. The store is fairly clean and works for all the regular stuff. I just don’t do my weekly shopping here.

I use to work for the owners in 1994-96. Great people. Ms Ruby was one of those people who showed up every day for work and was a genuinely nice person. The 2 daughters were off the hook. Jackie was the more stable of the 2 The other daughter had some issues but she was a trip.......or on a trip...... I hope she’s doing well. I’m so glad to see they’re still in business even with competitors like Food Lion and Walmart. Their prices are just as good if not better than the competitors. I’d support a family business over a big corporation any day. G Bundy

I've been shopping here loyalty for 20 years. When we have hurricanes the owner brings in generators and gets back open as soon as the water recedes the building in some cases. They are really committed to making sure we have access to food and water during disasters. Thanks again and always! (Hurricanes Floyd, Isabelle, Irene, etc!)

I'm not local, I was traveling through and needed groceries for vacation. Great local grocery store. I found the prices to be very fair. In fact, I found the prices to be almost identical to the prices in grocery stores back at home. Clean and laid out like any others mainstream grocery store anywhere.

A great local store featuring a nice selection and fair prices. Staff is helpful and polite. They do a great job with adding new items to match diet trends and health studies.

Great place and great staff. It can get a little confusing to find things of you aren't a regular but the employees are always sweet and helpful!

Decent prices. Large selection. Organized / products are easy to locate. Would definitely shop here again next time in the area.

I no longer live in the area, but for 23 years of my life this was my go to grocery store. I love returning home and seeing the changes they're always making, and seeing some of the same smiling faces.

A great place to grocery shop and dang if they didn’t stay open as long as they could with Hurricane Dorian looming out just beyond the horizon! So appreciated.
