highly recommend these guys if you have a sprinter van. they were able to fix the transmission of my 2006 dodge sprinter (mercedes engine) with 417,000 miles on it. after they fixed my van i drove it from north carolina to Washington state with no problems, the van is still running like a brand new van. they text back so quickly with updates on the work they’re doing to your car and they’ll send you pictures of parts you should consider servicing in the future. really excellent service

Val has worked on on my trusty old Mercedes Sprinter Van for
more than five years now. While sometimes the final bill is more than I thought it would be, more often it is less than anticipated. He did a magnificent job rebuilding my fuel injection system. The final bill was less than I anticipated He is very sympathetic to his customers and tries extremely hard to keep them happy. My office is more than a mile away from his shop and I can't remember how many dozen times he gave me a lift to my office down busy Hendersonville Road AND THEN picked me up to retrieve my van at his garage. He is generally a very positive person and, as a business owner myself, I freely give Import Auto Performance the highest possible recommendation.

This is a well run business that knows how to deliver. Val took care of my BMW X3 oil leaks at a reasonable price, and completed the job on time. My car was returned as clean as it came in and drove excellent. This is why I returned recently for new brake rotors and pads. Received the same reliability as before. I first used Import Auto Performance about 6 months ago to replace my transmission on my 2004 BMW and they did a great job for a great price. I have since used them a couple of times for other items and today the power window on the driver door quit working and I called to find out when and how much. Val (the owner) replied, let me order the part now and I'll have it today. Sure enough, it was replaced and operational by the end of the day. Good thing because it's raining now. Great customer service for a fair price.

I've never had an immediate trust like I did with Val at his shop. Our 2004 Volvo was disabled because a small plastic piece broke off the shifter. We were able to finally get into drive and took it to his shop. He made an adjustment that allowed us to drive the vehicle while we waited for the part to arrive. He fixed it quickly and efficiently and we were satisfied with the cost.

We pointed out another broken piece of something under the hood. He quickly recognized it as a serious issue regarding our turbo. Again, fixed right and at a reasonable price.

Great service, reliable and trustworthy. A family business that we should be lucky to have to fix our import cars.

The reason I know this is that I personally inspected my car before taking it to him and he found everything that was wrong with my car. He did not mention any unnecessary repairs. Val and his team totally transformed my 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman S. My car had several issues and I had a long list of upgrades. Val took care of everything perfectly. Always a great experience at Import Auto. I have been a customer for several years and I would not go anywhere else for outstanding service. Best Porsche and BMW repair shop in Asheville in my opinion. Don't chase down a BMW repair or wait several months for a Porsche repair (been there, done that). Take your car to Val at Import Auto Performance. He and his team are honest, knowledgeable, reasonable and punctual.

I've been having my cars serviced here since Val opened shop more than two years ago. Prior to Val, my VW and Audi were always maintained by the dealer. I have recently acquired a BMW 1989 L6 Classic, Val has this running like it's new. Val makes you feel like family, provides you with all the pertinent information required to repair your car. Val has always done good work on my vehicle for the past 2 years I've owned my car. Have had numerous unfortunate accidents in my car also and Val and Dema and the guys here always have come through and helped me out and done a great job. I have been happy with Val's knowledge and experience while working on both of my cars. He is usually available within a few days of needing service with your vehicle, unlike many other repair shops or dealers. I recommend his service to anyone.

We were to go on vacation when my vehicle suddenly had a "Check Engine" light on and started running roughly. I called Import Auto performance and talked to Val who was able to fit me in their tight schedule and resolve my problem. Overall, my experience with Import Auto performance have always been positive, whether it's a simple oil change to my 2002 Audi Quattro, replace a timing belt to my 2001 Lexus GS300 or work on the brakes of my 2006 H3 . I have recommended numerous friends and families to the shop and would continue to do so.

My 1967 Mercedes 230SL had the rear end go out. It took me a month or so to get the right part, during this time Val kept my car inside on a lift, tying up the bay. He was very patient with me, charged a fair price and really just treated me very well. Thanks Val

Used these guys twice now, first for a major clutch replacement on my Mini JCW that another local garage quoted twice as much for and then more recently for an oil change which was very reasonably priced. I feel very secure using this shop, the employees are kind and helpful. They are very professional and will always try to show you and fully explain to you the problem. I received good updates on the job including photos of the problems so I could see for myself what was wrong. I will use these guys for as long as I live in Buncombe County and have a car and would recommend them to anyone and everyone!!!

I’ve had Val work on my Mercedes Van several times over the years. Good work at a fair price. Today was the second time he worked for 15 to 30 minutes fixing a minor problem only to say at the end no charge. Can’t beat that service. Thanks, Val.

I was highly recommended to import auto by a AAA tow company to service my Volkswagen. I am glad I decided to have import auto work on my vehicle. They quoted me a price which was a lot cheaper than the dealer, and a time to bring my car back to have it fixed. They repaired my car in the time promised without any delays. I was very satisfied with them and the work done. I also highly recommend this company and I will be a return customer.
