Garden Deli & Pizzeria

I’m giving them 5 stars because they actually answered the phone and the pizza was pretty decent. Saturdays during the summer are apparently insane. So we called almost everywhere and no one was answering or taking orders. These guys were. So thank you!

The pizza was ok. It’s really about 3/4 star pizza. Nothing to go crazy about but pretty good. If you follow one bite… they have it at a 6.8 but I think that’s being nice.

I would however go back and try a specialty pizza to make sure I’m not being to harsh.

It’s takeout only and you will need to wait outside.

Decided to try this establishment on a whim on vacation, it was near us, we got in late and I didn't feel like driving anywhere, so we took a chance... I'm glad we did! Not only was the ordering process easy, but the gentleman who took our order couldn't have been more pleasant (especially considering my questions and requests for our half n half pizza) they quoted us 45 minutes for delivery, but arrived in 30 minutes. This pizza was served hot, fresh and delicious! You can tell they care about their customers, the ingredients were fresh, and best of all the pizza wasn't greasy and the crust was crisp! We'd definitely visit them again if we are in the area!

I love their pizza, but it always takes an hour to get it. They told me tonight it would be ready in 45 minutes, so I waited 45 minutes before I came out to get it, then they told me they had to recook it because they burnt the first one. So annoyed. Great pizza but very bad service every time. She brought it out right after review. I'm ok now.

We wish there were more stars to give! You can't go wrong on anything you order...pizza, subs, cannoli etc. We have had it all and it is always good. They are truly an awesome family!

I appreciate quality pizza. That means the dough has been carefully crafted, the topping ingredients are fresh, and the sauce is complimentary for the pizza style. A nice cheese goes without saying. This is why I highly recommend Garden Deli and Pizza. A staple in Manteo. It is in the top 3 of the best pizza shops in the Outer Banks, hands down.

One of my favorite places for years. Great pizza, gyros, subs, sandwiches.

The food was really good. Italian sub was on point. Kids enjoyed their food. The kids meal had a lot in it which was commiserate with the price. Make sure you call your order in ahead or order on line. They do not take orders in person. You can pick up in person. The staff were super nice.

The pizza was good but the chicken parm meat was very thick and wasn’t that cooked so they need to do better on this overall food was decent

Pizza was delicious. A large is huge. Ordered online and it was ready early. Which was a good thing as we were there early. Would definitely recommend.

Food is so delicious we came back twice during our 4 day stay in Manteo. You won't find better take out food on the island.

Pizza is top rate! Salad fresh & my wife loved their Ranch dressing, of which they provided plenty. Highly recommend!

Got take out. They were extremely busy, but the person that took my order was very patient and helpful. The young person that brought the pay machine and my order to me was FANTASTIC! I could tell that they were tired, yet they were friendly and I could see their smile even though they wore a mask. The food was fantastic as usual! A great place to eat and they definitely deserve a large tip along with thanks and a smile!

Best pizza best people best place! You’ll feel like family from the minute you pull in this little Roanoke Island treasure and by all means get the EASTER ISLAND pizza … it’s da bomb .. and come Xmas time hit them up for their home baked cookie trays! Sooo good! Three thumbs up for Garden Deli!!

Excellent Pizza!! Very friendly staff. Food came out quickly and hot. The cannoli we had for desert was amazing. My friend who is a fountain soda expert , said the diet coke carbonation / syrup mix was perfect, and that is a high compliment from her. I had a special request concerning something for my elderly, spoiled rotten dog at home, and the owner of deli/pizzeria could not have been more accomadating and kind. Highly recommend!! Will definately be back!!

EXCELLENT customer service! We had not visited before so pulled in the lot to check out the online menu and order. Multiple employees came out to ensure that we’d been assisted and they even expedited our order so we wouldn’t have to wait as long since we were already there. Delicious pizza—huge pieces—and fresh salads!

The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing! Best cheesesteak I have had and the pizza was perfect. Very pleased!

Incredible food, five-star service, and an amazing staff....what more could you ask for? No trip to Manteo is complete without treating yourself to this family-owned local favorite. Five stars just isn’t enough....thanks to the entire Garden Deli crew for a fantastic dining experience!!

This is such a cute and tasty stop! We stopped here last year and the owner stopped to talk to us. Such a nice couple. The seating then (pre covid) is cozy and they do have restrooms. There is a fun little museum inside as well. Now is take out only (I assume since the dining room is so small). But, the food is FABULOUS! They have wonderful pizza and the chipotle wings are the best! They have sandwiches and salads as well. Such a great place tucked in Manteo NC.

A friend and I had lunch from there on Friday. The sandwiches were delicious! We were very impressed by the service! Our food was brought to our vehicle and we greatly appreciated the fact he was respectfully masked. Highly recommend!!
