The coffee house provided a remarkable experience with a vast array of food options to choose from. The apple strudel was particularly noteworthy and the staff was very accommodating, allowing us to bring our small dog inside due to the cold and snowy weather outside. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and the tea and coffee selection was impressive. The pastries were exceptional and I highly recommend trying the rice crispy Maple syrup. There are also many organic and natural options available. I have personally visited this coffee house many times over the years and would absolutely recommend it to others.

Yummy Treats and Great Views

We enjoyed this Austrian bakery at the Trapp Family Resort in Stowe. The pastries are delicious - especially the apple strudel. The view from the outdoor dining deck is spectacular during foliage season. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

A wonderful place to grab some food and coffee. I had their hot chocolate and some of their pastries. They were delicious. Also the staff were kind, helpful, and attractive. 😁 I would highly recommend anyone in the area stop by and check it out!!!

Cute european style cafe with a Vermont touch on the Von Trapp property. Ended up coming here 4 times in 2 days. The menu isn’t too big and manageable to look at. There’s a $1 difference between the small and large coffee but the quantity difference is more than double, so would just suggest getting the large coffee. There’s a balcony view which overlooks the beautiful trees and mountains. Interiors are wooden and the lighting is warm, giving it a very cosy and homely feel. Maple syrup, honey, maple sriracha, jam, etc from the Von Trapp farms is sold here. You can easily spend a lot of hours here.

Foodies will love the Trapp Family Lodge
their shuttle bus can take you to the Kauffee House with fresh made pastries you can enjoy by the fire or at the coffee bar with more great views

Lovely place. Went during the week. Not a lot of traffic. Nice quiet area. The bar & patio have amazing views. They were offering a fire where you can make your own smores. We had soup and grilled cheese and they were both great.

They keep changing the name of this beautiful spot. Now known as the Kaffeehaus, the food is even better than before. This is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. The sandwiches are delicious but the real showstoppers are the pastries which are all baked on the premises by a newly hired baker from Austria. The coffee, which they get from Artisan Coffee down the road is amazing and of course they have all the Trapp beers on offer as well. If you’re in town or staying at the resort this place is worth a visit both for the food and the wonderful views.

When we are too lazy to make breakfast , we walk over from our guesthouse and they have the most amazing breakfast sandwiches on their homemade Trapp English muffin. Great pastries and coffee as well.

I would just go here for the amazing views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We bought a few pastries to eat there and also bought local raw honey, Trapp lodge made granola and Trapp Lodge chocolate dipped coconut macaroons. Everything tasted good. A must visit place if you are in the area or if you are a sound of music fan.

Wonderful bakery, cafe, and bar! The blueberry scone and apple strudel were delicious, and free complementary coffee until 10:30am if you are staying at trapp.

What everyone else has already said holds true: the foods, the views, the staff. What no one prepared me for is the absolute abundance of incredibly beautiful and stunning performances of classical, baroque, and renaissance recorded chamber music that is floating through the air and coloring every bite of my Black Forrest Ham and Cheese Croissant and making my maple latte that much sweeter. As a professional violinist who has travelled so much of this incredible country it’s the music of a place that can be transportive. This is the purpose of this stunning music. Viennese adore their classical music and this is the cherry on top. Sounds like it’s time to book my Austrian vacation!!
Come for the coffee, lattes, every single pastry in the case and the views.
Stay for the service and the attention to detail and the music, live AND Pre-recorded.
Pros: easy parking, clear signage, delicious and highest quality food, location
Cons: prices are decent for the quality, service can be a bit slower than expected

I will be back with my family in the summer or anytime of year for this relaxing and inspiring experience!! It’s worth a trip up the mountain 👏🏼

Came here for breakfast and had a coffee and a bacon sandwich, both were very good, bonus an overwhelming selection of pastries and a pastoral view. Also they let my dog in, thank you

Super cute place to grab breakfast or light lunch. The people working here are very nice and there is plenty of European and local VT goodies for purchase / take home.

I eat A LOT of breakfast sandwiches. I’m pretty sure my doctor would say I eat the combination of cholesterol, salt, simple carbs, and fat about 6 more times a week than any person should.

That being said, this was one of the top, if not best bacon / egg / cheese sandwich I’ve ever had. Everything is locally sourced and cooked perfectly. Add in a great view and this is an easy five stars.
