First visit today for my Pomeranian. He is aging and needed a good vet to care for him. From start to finish they were wonderful, he didn’t have anxiety like any other vet visit, very informative caring place. Thank you!

We brought our dog in for his annual appointment when it was brought to our attention an enlarged nail and toe. After a few tests it was clear his toe needed to be amputated. Before, during, and after Dr Rebecca Sevy kept us updated and put our minds at ease. Dr Rebecca Sevy and all the staff at VAH are so caring and amazing! This is only 1 of the reasons why we have been bringing our 3 little dogs there for 12+ years! We highly recommend VAH!

I was nervous switching my elderly dog to a new vet after moving back to VT. However, after our first visit Dr. Rebecca and everyone at VAH put our worries at ease! We have had great experiences every time we’ve made an appointment, including a rather emergent appointment that required surgery. Highly recommend VAH!

Vergennes Animal Hospital came to the rescue when our normal veterinarian informed us that they did not perform a time-sensitive procedure we were seeking. As a matter of fact no vet we called in Chittenden County was willing to fit us into the time sensitive period we needed. However we called VAH one day and had an appointment the following afternoon. The staff are all friendly, professional, and possess excellent active listening skills. Couldn't be happier with the professional help we received.

I can’t put into words how amazing this vets office is. Dr. Carrie has handled my pets at their absolute worst and best times. Her and all the staff act with the utmost compassion and respect for the animals and owners. I wouldn’t trust my animals with any one else.

Dr Greg and all the veterinarians and staff at Vergennes Animal Hospital (VAH) are top notch! We have been a customer of VAH for 20+ years and they have helped us in the best and worst of times. All my life my pets (6 pets, really my furry kids/siblings if I am being honest) have been cared for by VAH. My almost 12 year old Boxer, Schilling, loves VAH so much that I am fairly certain that he has faked an illness or 2 to go get his VAH families attention and love. We trust VAH to do what's right and to treat our pets and us with kindness and caring. Schilling and Scherzer wanted me to mention that they love "checking themselves in and out with Rosie or Laura and getting more than their fair share of the special treats" (see the picture on the webpage of Schilling "checking in" :). I just took my beloved nearly 18 year old cat to see Dr. Greg Carlton at Vergennes Animal Hospital during the Covid Crisis. He had blood work and a full exam. My cat came home like nothing happened and I was very happy with how we were treated. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Carlton and I trust him with my animals. We also use Dr. Anja Wurm for home visits and love her too. Thank you Vergennes Animal Hospital. Their whole staff has been amazing!!!

We adopted our English Bulldog Mr. Jack Pickles over 3 years ago. He is now 12 years old and the love of our life! He has had several health issues in the past due to his age and the staff at Vergennes Animal Hospital have been AMAZING with him!! They love him as much as we do and in return for a dog that is scared to be around a lot of people he actually enjoys going to the vet! Dr. Greg and team are very knowledgeable and take the time to work with each individual pet as if they were their own. They know "one size fits all" does not apply to all pets and we know if Mr. Pickles has to go to the vet he will be well taken care of. By far they give incredible service, we are lucky to have them as a resource!!

Dr. Greg and Kailyann were excellent. Answered all questions and provided good information. One of the dogs was new to the practice and is often anxious going to new environments. The staff worked well with him and he responded in kind.

Amazing and knowledgeable staff that actually care about your pet and don't make you feel like just another customer! I recommend this Vet to all of my friends! They treated my Phoenix like one of their own!

I can't say enough good things about Vergennes Animal Hospital. Every staff member from the front desk, to the exam rooms to the surgical area takes excellent care of the animals and people that walk through the door. I have three special needs dogs, and each of their quirks is taken in to account at every visit.

We are visiting from out of state and our 2 year old Golden Retriever injured one of her claws. They were able to get us in between patients and took care of her injury quickly and thoughtfully. They were excellent at communicating costs and treatment options. She is recovering nicely and within 24 hours we received a follow up call. Kind, excellent care and affordable. We can't thank them enough for the wonderful care they gave to our girl.

VAH has always taken great care of Sophie and Tristan. Both of my fur babies have complicated health issues, and VAH has always been helpful in informing our choices of care. Thank you!

I live in Dover, De. My dog had surgery 12 days ago in Dover. I was scheduled to visit my daughter in Bridport, Vt. and the staples needed to come out during that time. My daughter used your clinic so we called to see if I could have them take out the staples. There was no problem to make an appointment.
We had them taken out today and all went very well.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about VAH. Compassionate, friendly staff throughout, they get you in quickly and They really put your pets best interest first and to me that speaks volumes!

Ping is a fighter, took 3 of us just to clip nails and blood work, but once he saw cookies as the reward, he relaxed.

Dr. Hemmer took an amazing care of Lilo, she did all the work herself instead of passing it to a tech which as a dog owner I can appreciate. Plus she was much faster, and prepped to go, which helped Lilos anxiety. Love them all. 💜
