Fong's Pizza

By far the best Downtown Farmers Market breakfast Pizza! Awesome new flavors including the Berry Basil Bliss, which was pure perfection. Slices so large, full of toppings and affordable that it feels like we are stealing! Don't hesitate, stop there every Farmers Market for brekkie!

Really cool place, interesting twist on your classic Chinese food and your classic pizza combo. I had the Orange Chicken pizza. Which has veggie fried rice on it and for the “pizza sauce” it was the orange chicken sauce. It was a nice size for one person, the atmosphere is great as well a bit small but definitely neat little gem in De Moines.

Fongs is a known place around Des Moines. I have never been until today and it was phenomenal. Fast service, nice wait staff and food is amazing. The kitchen ended up making an extra pizza and even gave it to us for free. Loved our nice Sunday at a casual fun spot. Their drinks are also super tasty!

What a fun place in a downtown setting. Recommended by my brother-in-law. Looks like a dive from the outside but good atmosphere inside. Crazy pizza choices. I had the garlic and honey with alfredo sauce base. Since we were here for lunch, I ordered the special for $8.99. Slice of the day, salad and soda. My husband ordered The Iowan. It has Canadian bacon, bacon, corn, pulled pork, cheese and BBQ sauce. Definitely a great place to try.

This was a place a colleague had spoke highly of and was on my to-do list while in Des Moines. It lived up yo the hype. I had the boneless wings and the crab rangoon pizza. Would certainly return if in the area.

This is an incredibly fun place to eat! Had the Crab Rangoon and Kung Pao pizza and the egg roll cheese sticks. All delicious! Highly recommended! The staff was friendly and very helpful! Will definitely eat here again!

This is a great pizza place. The food was awesome and service was really good. We had a big party and they got us in and feed quickly. We only had one problem one of the pizza of the day was very spicy. If we had known we would have gotten something else

This was a must stop and try while in Des Moines with the family. The best decision was to order and sit at the bar with a beer to take in the atmosphere. The staff was very nice, giving my son extra cherries in his pop. Our favorite ended up being the Dragon wings. The flavor was unlike anything I've tasted. The pizza had a very good crust and generous toppings. I wish we had ordered the Crab Rangoon pizza. I saw another patron with it on their table and I had order envy. I'll have to go back and try it next time.

I think this is a very unique pizza place. Great italian pizza with an oriental twist. The crab Rangoon pizza is good but if your looking for a sweeter taste try the polynesian pizza. Both pizza crusts were thin and crispy. The resturant is cozy and clean with a friendly but busy staff.

I was visiting Des Moines and stopped in. The entire experience was great but my server, Shelby, went above and beyond. She answered all my questions, made sure my pizza was vegan, and recommended the best drink ( berry bramble). Check out the ramen pizza when you go and be sure to ask for Shelby! Friendliest server ever.

Place was busy at 11:30 pm on a Saturday but worth the wait. Never thought of a crab ragoon pizza. But it was delicious. The loaded potato pizza was good as well. Decently priced.

I was in town for only 24 hours and someone told me to go to Fong‘s pizza. I am so glad they did and that they recommended it because this is one of the most different pizza experiences that I have ever had! It’s Asian infused pizza, plus their cocktails are Tiki style. So it’s like a two in one win!

The Decor is really cool as well. It’s half Asian and half tiki vibe. I loved it and I have never seen anything like that!

Our bartender/waitress was amazing! Not only did she have great customer service, but she was super funny and really entertaining as well!

We ordered the crab Rangoon pizza, and some other pizza that I can’t remember. Also, the tiki cocktail that comes in the kitty and the one in the peacock and both were super delicious! We also ordered another cocktail that we didn’t realize was a shot and when they give it to you they give you a helmet to wear while you do the shot. I thought that was so unique and so funny! I definitely want to come back here! This place is a must if you are ever in Des Moines, Iowa!

Small hole in the wall restaurant. At first look, you wouldn't think anything of it. Upon walking in, it's a smaller space but welcoming. And the bar tender was very prompt and helpful with ordering. They said 25 minutes for our large Crab Rangoon Pizza and cheesecake egg rolls. We walked around the neighborhood and returned 25 minutes later to our food coming right out the kitchen. Too bad this place is in Des Moines, we are from DFW and would love to eat here again.

Holy. Cow. Order the Crab Rangoon pizza!!! I don’t like crab Rangoon, but this pizza was to die for!! We also got the General Tso’s pizza which was great too. The bartender was nice and had good conversation. The other servers were kind and personable. Doing the kamikaze shots with the helmets were also a fun and unique experience.

Place came highly recommended by my hotel. After reading the reviews, of course had to try the Crab Rangoon pizza - it was everything they raved about! Service was great, drinks were served with a helmet - this is my kind of place.

We were staying in downtown Des Moines and picked up three extra large pizzas for our family gathering. Everyone raved about them! We brought the leftovers back to Illinois and they reheated perfectly. Highly recommend!

After leaving one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant at the angry goldfish I came here. Where i was pleasantly surprised with a server who actually introduced herself (Lauren. You rock!) AND asked me how my food was. Low bar, I know but frankly I was buzzing with joy in comparison and Fongs at least treated me right. I hate to say it, but the pizza I had by the slice was pretty old and hard, but tasty all the same. I'd come back a thousand times more before I ever looked at some of these other horrible restaurants

Place had good atmosphere with attentive, friendly staff. The food, particularly the pizzas, provides a tasty blend of familiar flavors and textures with a new twist. My only complaint, however, is that the Moo shu pork tacos can be pretty messy to eat due to the grease that's spilled after biting into them.

Solid pizza. I’ve dined in many times and recently got it to go. We had the crab Rangoon pizza. The mix of favors is so unique for a pizza - really enjoyed it.
