This walk up window is one of our favorites! Perfect to stop by when we are walking our pup. Coffee is great, they serve Broadsheet here. All the workers are always super nice and helpful. Love this place.

Nice little coffee shop in Davis Square that we found when it was highlighted on channel 5’s Chronicle show. We got in just before the place was closing on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered a regular coffee and a vanilla latte but we’d like to come back and try some of the food offerings like the avocado sandwich which sounds tasty. Overall, the prices are on par with any coffee shop in Boston, friendly service and and the atmosphere is more catered to on-the-go traffic. We’ll be back!

One of the better independent coffee shops in Somerville that's optimized for pandemic walkup orders. Coffee and pastries are well executed here (just has an excellent Kouign-amann). Looking forward to trying their sandwiches next.

Best coffee shop in Davis Square! Coffee is amazing & latte art is beautiful. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy; I credit the baristas and the big windows which allow warming sunlight into the coffee shop. Their baked goods are very good too.

One of the best espressos in Boston without a doubt. Out of all of the places I’ve tried, this is one of the only few places where the drinks actually have a real pungent flavour of fresh espresso and not just a burnt taste of over frothed oat milk.

Ordered their small iced oat milk mocha. Not a lot of ice which I appreciate since it means more drink and less dilution. Was worried it might be too sweet but it wasn’t at all - just the perfect amount of sweet with a great deep chocolate flavor. Only dow side was the paper straw which doesn’t last long - recommend they switch to avocado straws or something sturdier.

Window ordering only, but service was fast and friendly.

If you're A coffee shop owner and your coffee game isnt as strong as this joint's , please shut down for a day and come learn from this place!
Coffee IS superb!!! Their pastries are fresh and aroma..oh!!! Get extra hot cap and toasted everything bagel with cream cheese! Best start to anyone's day!

Great place for a quick breakfast! Their coffee is so fragrant! If you like soft bagels, I recommend getting a bagel too.

Notable: Serves through a window. No seating but close to public benches with tables. Friendly staff. No parking. Serves pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and bagels.

Nine Bar in my opinion has the best coffee around. Their espresso is really flavorful, their cold brew is really smooth, and the pastries are top notch.
I recommend pushing open the hole in the lid of the cold drinks before inserting the straw to help the paper straw last longer.

My go to coffee shop at Davis. Always reliable, and excellent coffee and pastries/breakfast sandwiches. There's no dine in option (post pandemic) -- just take away.

October 10, 2021 flat white with chocolate review:

Because their lattes are 12 ounces I skipped the mocha and latte option and went for the flat white which is served in an 8 ounce cup.
Really nice foam and first taste. And the foam and balanced flavors persisted all the way through the cup. Really nice, I will definitely be back.

Nine Bar Espresso has a simple traditional espresso menu now in the Covid era served through a window onto the street.

Wonderful coffee and pastries, too! I'm a big fan of their lattes, and they're always willing to add an extra double shot of espresso for me. No entry into the building, but the staff is warm and friendly even through the pickup window, so huge kudos to them for making it work. A definite must try if in the area!

Okay so this was introduced to me by one of my friends that moved out of Boston and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t try it sooner. Iced green tea latte and a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese. Say no more. My new go to breakfast on the go spot

Great location and friendly staff.
They make a great latte and have plenty to offer for fresh pastries and bagels(with plenty of creme cheeses). Their presentation is pleasant and functional.
Their "loyalty card" is digital and tired to your credit card/email. Remember to sign up at the end of your transaction. It is double the reward compared to other cafes on the area. $4 off for ten visits.

A great place to go in Davis Square, to have high quality espresso and coffee/tea drinks without breaking the bank. The prices are comparable, if not cheaper than Starbucks, with a far more cozy feel. The staff is very nice, and helpful, if you're unsure what to get! The seating is very limited, so if you're looking to sit and enjoy, try off-peak hours, or expect to get your coffee to go :-)
