The coconut margaritas are delicious!!! We were greeted and sat right away however our server didn’t come over for 12-15 mins. She was very nice so we tried to give the benefit of doubt assuming she may be new or having an off day but the entire experience seemed incredibly slow and it took a while between courses for her to come back.
Great margarita selections with fun infused tequila’s. My friend got the Watermelon Habanero Margarita and loved it. We tried the margarita flight which was also great. The blood orange margarita was a close second favorite although be ready for the kick it holds from the spicy tequila.
Out of all the food we ate, the appetizers were our favorite. The street corn off the Cobb was absolutely out of this world! Very small portion but so decadent and will leave you wanting more.

Cauliflower tacos are delicious but bit pricey or adding another extra taco would justify the price! Enchiladas were delicious, I am usually not a big fan but liked the taste here.

Been here twice each time I've come the service is amazing the floor staff are always smiling.

The food tastes great and the serving sizes are well worth the money.

The drinks are good too.

The restaurant is very clean and spacious.

Papagayo is one of those places which you wouldn't regret visiting once in a while.

Even during the pandemic, they have provision of distanced seating and a great ambience outside for those who are not comfortable seating inside.

The drinks and the food is amazing, no complaints.
One of the best strawberry margarita I had was here.

One heads-up: one of us did not find the veg sandwich as expected, and the servant completely replaced it, for a full new plate of Veg Quesadilla. The servant did make sure we were happy with the food and took care of the replacement.

I recommend this place for having a meal in Assembly Square area.

I enjoyed chicken and steak Fajita and shrimp tacos. Amazingly delicious! So many people indoor to dine in. That’s the only little concern. The atmosphere was very nice and food was very fantastic.

Papagayo has been our go to place way since we are staying in Boston. We are vegetarians occasionally and the cauliflower vegetable tacos they offer are apt for us! We love everything about it! I also heart their Mexican street corn and enchiladas. Absolute favorite.
Post Covid, we miss their chips and salsa. However, the safety they are following is tremendous. Like you can see in the pictures, they have spaced out seating, added glass shields in between, digital menus and sanitization station.
Their staff has been genuinely friendly, attentive and courteous. To end the list, our personal favorite cocktails- coconut margarita and rona Rita! Must try!

The street corns are sooooo good😋 It a must try in Papagayo! Also the chili chili bang bang! It’s the cutest cocktail here and not even only its name but also the taste is wonderful 💛 Servers here are also friendly! Don’t miss this place when you walk by!

Best place for drinks and lot of options for Mexican food . We had wonderful evening on Saturday when it was very very hot outside . Staff was also friendly . I highly recommend this place if you are in Somerville.

Sunday lunch was amazing. The service was also fast. The waitress Anna was very friendly. We will definitely be back for more mexican cuisine. 😬

Omg everything here was delicious. I normally have a couple of bites of guacamole when I order in other restaurants, I ate the whole plate at this place. Now I’m on a diet and for the past couple of weeks I have been ordering salmon and salad in every restaurant. THE SALMON SALAD was SO delicious and the dressing, I believe is the best salad dressing I have ever tried.

I've missed delicious Mexican Food since we left the North Shore. We decided to go back for Halloween date night & I was not disappointed at all. Although the menu changed slightly, the food is still amazing as ever.
Miso Salmon with Cilantro rice was scrumptious!!
We were disappointed Salmon Tacos are no longer on the menu, but he ordered veggie instead, and enjoyed every bite.
You will never go wrong with a Margerita from Papagayo. The passionfruit Margerita was scrumptious!! We need a Papagayo on the South Shore.

We celebrate one of our friends birthday with group of 8, each of us loved the meal and cocktails. Thank you for the complimentary birthday cake as well. Great night!

Fantastic Mexican restaurant. I am relatively new to this cuisine and they really helped me to pick the best to my taste. I had ordered their healthy Salman tacos - wrapped Salman using cabbage as taco - tasted delicious.

Have been to their place as well, and the ambience is pretty good - had our office party there, so on the higher range of cost this restaurant.

And guacamole!! - wonderfully created, we, 3 folks had ordered a whole jar, thought could not finish it, ended up taking one more

The food was tasty! Specially the trailer park tacos! The lava cake was delicious as well! Food was ready in no time! Definitely coming back again!

They have the best chips and guacamole I've EVER tasted. Loved the decor and the vibe and the margaritas were excellent.

Best mexican restaurant in town. The food is amazing (please try the shrimp tacos and the chicken quesadilla, and if you're over 21 the coronaritas are the best) . I've been going there for years and my order never came wrong. The staff is kind and friendly. In the summer time they open up these big windows facing the river. I love it!!! 🌮🍤🍻🥑

So i visited the place for the first time and was not disappointed. I am a bit skeptical with tacos but this restaurant gave me a healthy version with seafood which i enjoyed a lot. They have really really good options for picky eaters and it's fresh and full of flavor. The staff is welcoming but just a little bit slow haha.
