Highland Creole Cuisine

I hope this place stays open. One of the few Caribbean places left that we have around the area. Great food reasonable prices. Came here again today for some djon djon and griot. Didn't disappoint.

First time having Haitian food. Did not disappoint. Very flavorful and filling. I got Tass beef, Diri ak Djon Djon rice ( black rice and peas, plantains and Boulet (Meatballs).

The reviews had me a little nervous lol I was ready to ask my Haitian husband order my food but I went in and ordered with no problem. No one was rude or made me feel like I wasn’t pronouncing anything incorrectly. Food was fresh and delicious. I’ve had food from here previously but this was my first time going in and ordering on my own.

Haitian food restaurant. When we went there they were working as a take out only restaurant. That’s why all the chairs on the tables (don’t know if it was because of the holidays), and that’s why the food in boxes. But they let us sit down inside. Food is delicious! Prices are a bit high, $30 for the main entrées, specially as a take out place.

Food is great the portions are big enough for 3 people ( I estimate 3 cup of cooked rice.
Service : I placed my order over the phone . They said 15 minutes I made it in 10 and my food was ready

Since it was take out I don't have much to say regarding in restaurant experience

I placed an order though toast for delivery. For some reason it end it up a pick up order. I called to cancell they say I have to do it through toast. I call toast they say the restaurant has to inniciate the refund. I called 3 way and no solution. The toast customer service hang up on me.

I been coming here since I was young, great people & food and environment and now an amazing renovation!!! I’m so happy to stop by today and see it, I love you guys!!! Come by and check it out for yourself!!! Thank you Jean for my food & smoothies😊 👍🏼

It depends what time of the day you go there, service is typically on point if you go there after the dinner rush. But if you go there anytime before 8 pm. Get ready to wait awhile for your food. They get alot of orders. I usually go right after 8pm when orders typically slow down.

Best place to eat fresh food. Sometimes they are really busy but very fast service. Try the cake and sauce coz its really good.

Really good Haitian food and really professional employees. The place is well organised, there’s even a piano that everybody can plays.

Truly the bomb dot com. After I ate it for dinner I dreamed about it at night. I got the creole fish and everything was seasoned to perfection. I didn’t realize it came as a whole fish, head and all, but it’s better that way because meat is healthier cooked on the bone, and it’s so much less wasteful! And now I’m no longer weary of ordering a whole fish! The service was great when I went but I don’t understand people complaining about that anyway. They’re slinging to-go orders, what do you want, a silver platter? The food is top notch, that’s what counts

This is my favorite haitian restaurant. I love their food. Even when I was pregnant, their food helped me with my cravings. I live in another state, and I still make a trip to get some of their food

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and the first time I’ve ordered from a Creole specific restaurant, and I would HIGHLY recommend it!! I got fried goat (will DEFINITELY order again; so crispy on the edges and stringy and tender inside like a pot roast) and my man got fried fish (head-on, skeleton-in, SO flavorful with incredible seasoning). We loved it. The women who helped me at the restaurant were very kind, and while take-out is always a little weird these days they were both helpful and attentive. I can’t believe I’ve lived 10 minutes away from this place for like 4 years and never ventured in!! No pictures because we ate it too fast LOL

Foods amazing! Authentic Haitian cuisine second to none. Good variety of rice, meats Caribbean drinks and sides. The food here is fresh, delicious and consistent. I’ve been eating here for over 10 years and the quality and signature remains stellar. Only thing I’d look to improve is the decorum but as for the food Itself you can’t go wrong.

The goat, rice, bean sauce and meat sauce was sooo good!!! A large plate fed 3 adults and we had some left over (enough for a small child’s plate). The customer service was the nicest I’ve received at a Caribbean restaurant. Cashier was bilingual and easily understood my English and I understood hers. Great drink options. And the meal was soo delicious. Thank you highland cuisine ❤💕

Consistently great food 🥘, I currently don’t have a picture because I scruffed down my food 😂. But this is a Somerville staple that happens to be very close to authentic Haitian 🇭🇹 cuisine in the Somerville area. I think Haitian 🇭🇹 cuisines are on the way to being the number 1 world cuisine with its flavors and taste.stay tuned for more reviews coming soon in the local greater middle see area’s!!! 😃

If you’re on the fence you have got to give this place a try it’s DELICIOUS. The food here is fresh and incredible. The juices? On point. We tried the mango, papaya, and strawberry. I SMACKED my lips. The fried chicken is the best I’ve had in Boston, crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. The Creole fish is their priciest item but it was sooooo worth it and they give you great portions as well. I can’t wait to come back!

Every time I go to Somerville I like to stop by Highland Creole Cuisine and grab me some food and get papaya drinks with milk.
