Great local shop with good produce, dairy, and bulk dry goods (tea, grains, cereals, fruits, coffee, etc). Small shop that manages to carry a lot of variety! They have fresh bagels and breads, ice creams and local pasta too. Some cleaning supplies as well.

Remember to bring your own bag if you can (though they have paper ones if you forget). Everyone is friendly. Love their dollar deals! Glad this is walking distance from me for when I need a few things for dinner or a refill of a bulk item.

Ive visted several times this year and I can conclude these need to exist in every neighborhood, especially those that may be in food deserts. Their produce is fresh and comparable (often cheaper) in prices to typical grocery stores. They have quite a selection of produce, bulk items to purchase (flour, spices, snacks, etc) and even dairy products. They dry goods are a bit more sparse, but that encourages healthier eating anyways!

We live closer to here than the Medford location but we go to both frequently. For such a small space they almost always have everything we need. The only time it’s annoying (which is rare) is when someone chatty comes in and kinda holds up the line. It’s not big to it’s nice when people just come in, grab the stuff and jet. Staff is super friendly and they are always helpful!

I should mention that I’ve only been to the location in Ball Square, but I still had to list the reasons I love this place:

-Most of the items in the store don’t come in plastic! They have paper bags and reusable containers for bulk items, or you can bring your own and have them weighed
-The staff is friendly and helpful
-They have an assortment of items and I can find most of what I need there - also, some items that I can’t find other places, like unsweetened coconut! (Please, PLEASE keep stocking that, I live off this stuff now 😫) OH and the teas. The looseleaf tea is wonderful. The Lapsang Souchong is my favorite
-Not only do they have food, but they have bulk shampoo/conditioner/soap as well. I supplement the conditioner with a richer product every few rinses, but the stuff they stock is a good staple
-The produce is *quality* - the highlights from this last year have been bright poppable cranberries, snappy green beans, crunchy apples, and (depending on season) leeks the size of my arm! Usually decent prices, too, though you should always double check
-And they’ve been selling eggs at cost in all this madness. AT COST! Bless them

In short I try to give them my money over other stores whenever I can. 10/10 would recommend

An absolutely wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Great seasonal produce and pantry items, nice assortment of dry goods (in bulk bins!), and a helpful, caring staff. I urge you to try them out next time you need groceries!
I recently tried some local frozen sausages. They were excellent, and from now on I'll buy sausages at Neighborhood Produce. I expect to have many more experiences just like that one.

Neighborhood Produce is incredible. It's like a farmers market that is always there, but even better because in addition to the fun local products they sell (e g. Sofia's Greek pantry, Davis Square Donuts and Bagels), they also sell the staples that you need to cook anything. I'm so happy to have this spot nearby. It's a local gem.

Go here all the time and absolutely love it ❤. The staff are friendly, the produce is amazing! Best beets I've ever had are from here. Always has an amazing seasonal selection, the dairy is great, the local pasta is incredible same with the local breads to die for! They recently expanded the freezer section and now offer more local meats too, I get the ground pork for tacos! I'd give 10 stars if I could cause the prices are even great this store is amazing!

This place is the absolute best you could ask for from a small market. Their prices are comparable and sometimes cheaper than the grocery store. The interior decor is wonderful, the selection is surprisingly varied. Matt (the owner) is delightful, friendly, and receptive to requests. All of his employees are wonderful to chat with.

This is totally a Neighborhood shop.

Blown away by the quality difference -- I just stocked my pantry from their bulk section and every item was the best version of that item that I've had. The mango was the best dried mango I've tasted, etc. Even the peanuts were the best peanuts I've ever had, which is crazy (roommates tasted and confirmed - who knew peanuts had room to improve!). Prices were more reasonable than expected.

Awesome local grocery store with fresh produce, bulk items, dairy case and much more. Whether you're looking for coffee, eggs, or bulk spices I recommend Neighborhood Produce, plus the owner Matt is super nice. There's also a bigger location in Ball Sq with bulk cleaning products.

Incredible value and a very nice atmosphere. I really enjoy coming here and the prices are even better than big box stores, which is impressive.

Great little market with a friendly owner. The prices on the produce are very reasonable, and it seems very fresh. Some of the non produce items seem a little expensive, but no more than Whole Foods, especially considering the convenience. They have a large variety of food for such a small market, and it all seems pretty good quality.

Fantastic place to buy produce in a more eco-friendly manner! It is the place where I get my milk in glass bottles (you bring back the empties and get new full milk bottles). I also get my bread there. They sell both Iggy's and Bread Obsession breads, and they are all delicious !

I have always loved this place, but their solution for shopping during the pandemic makes me want to do all my grocery shopping there. I went in on Tuesday around noon. They will only allow 1 customer in the store at a time so I waited a minute or so for the customer before me to pay. When I went in, they had me wait at a counter and I read my shopping list and they grabbed my items for me. It only took about 5-10 minutes. When I was done, they helped me carry my bags to the car. I was very impressed with their speed and efficiency and their attempt to minimize the spread of CoVID. Highly recommend!!

This place is so amazing! The produce is so fresh, it lasts days more than that from regular grocery stores. The staff is always friendly, happy to help any way they can. What a treasure this place is. I’m gonna be so sad when I move next year to a different state. I’ve gotten so spoiled by this place!

Hipster selection with many local products. Their produce is cheap but packaged stuff is pricy. Because of the pandemic, you stand at the front and tell them what you want and they'll get it for you. Everything was fresh and delicious. Cashier was pleasant.

Really happy this place exists. Great spot for anyone looking for a calm and friendly shopping experience featuring local and organic produce. Also great option if you're looking to be environmentally conscious - reusable glass milk cartons and spice containers, and a sizeable bulk section.
