Eye Clinic for Animals of Puget Sound

The VET provided my cat, Tango a great surgery when she had an trichiasis, ingrowning eyelashes. She had same issue in this year on the other eye. We could make the surgery appointment within 10 days. Now her eyes are cute and clean without any issues. When I was looking for an animal eye clinic last year, minimum waiting time was 3 months in Seattle area. If someone needs an immediate treatment for your pets eyes, this is the place to go.

Dr. Hodgson is the best! Him & his staff is so caring & loving to pets! I went to see if my mini dachshund could get her cataract removed & even though she couldn't get it removed due to congenital issues they were so nice & caring & took the time to explain everything to me. Made me feel like my dog & I actually were cared about. I will definitely recommend Dr. Hodgson for the go to vet! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

My puppy was born with Entropion and our regular vet suggested an Eye Specialist . Dr Hodgson and his team were amazing ! Making an appointment was super easy ( during COViD ) and since I couldn’t go in Dr Hodgson explained everything during our phone chat . The vet assistant who picked up and dropped off my puppy was lovely 😊
He also doesn’t charge “ Seattle Price “ to see your dog . Most places change $400 for an appointment. I drove over 40 min to see him and it was worth it .

Awesome experience. My kitty got carsick and threw up on the way. The staff didn't just get me a rag to clean it up but actively took the cat carrier and cleaned it for us and got us straight in a room.

The vet was great too and took the time to explain my cat's eye issue and the treatment plan.

Such a great experience with this practice today. Everyone was so friendly and professional. Dr. Hodgson was gentle and thorough in his exam. Very glad I found this specialist so close to home.

Who knew there were cat ophthalmic options

Very best and most skilled veterinarian and ophthalmologist. And his staff is superb. Jackie his assistant is a perfect pet nurse and assistant to the veterinarian. Laura is the girl Friday and absolutely amazing. Laura made it entirely possible for my 6 year old Havanese Gigi to get her sight back. Gigi was almost 5 years old when I saw the first cataract. I asked her vet who told me what to expect with a blind dog. I knew she would have loved to have a litter of puppies, but not with the hereditary problem of cataracts. So Gigi got spayed. I was expecting as with people cataracts progress slowly, and people can still see. Then I saw a cataract in her good eye. I called her vet and asked for a recommendation. Dr Mario Hodgson’s office takes CareCredit which allows everyday people who know what going blind is like for a young dog.
It has been 3 weeks. It wasn’t easy in the beginning with the 24 hour hard plastic cone. But the cone really helping controlling the dog for the every 6 hour drops. Cone is off now although she never tried to take it off. And drops are now only twice a day.
