Greenwood Hardware

Excellent, excellent from the start of the process to the finished product. The arrival time was accurate. The length of time needed for the water heater installation was accurate. And the installer did an excellent job. No mess, no fuss, cleanup was complete. We could not recommend Greenwood and Chase more highly.

The service here is fantastic! I had multiple projects and got expert advice on each one.

Water heater purchase and installation. Less than half the price of the two estimates I got from plumbers. Got an estimate over the phone and had it installed a couple days later. No upsells or problems. If you're just swapping out one water heater for a similar one, that's very straightforward and a plumber is going to charge way too much.

Great selection at decent prices, I was positively surprised. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

The people here are so helpful and never condescending (my experience with that is much more hit or miss with places like Lowes and Home Depot). Grateful we have them in the neighborhood.

A very complete inventory here. In one visit I checked off a large number of items that had been lingering on my hardware shopping list for ages. Everything I _might_ have (eventually) found in a long visit to one or more big box stores. But Greenwood also has things you won't find at Home Depot, e.g., Japanese saws, Leatherman multi tools, and a knowledgeable, helpful staff.

This is my favorite hardware store. They are local and knowledgeable. They are friendly! They sell Bicycle Benefits stickers here and I have purchased a few sets from them. They always have adorable baby chicks in the spring and I look forward to their annual cookouts in the summer. Stop by, you'll definitely find something fun. They have a bike rack right out front (which I really appreciate). They have been nothing but the kindest and most helpful hardware store!

I bought a table off of market place that I was so excited abt but while reassembling, I promptly stripped threads off the pedestal. I finally decided to fix it and went to Greenwood Hardware to try to find a solution. I was thinking a new nut or an epoxy solution but after talking with Ian, he thought he could re-thread the table if I brought it in!! This morning in less than 10 mins he fixed my table giving me back my closet and helping create a breakfast nook I have dreamed of. I am so happy and grateful for the extra attention. With his help, this table serves me and stays out of a landfill! Plus +1 for the Local Peeps!

Amazing staff. Good selection. It is worth supporting a local small business franchise over big box stores when it's just a much better experience. I can't imagine going to an impersonal big box store to save 20 cents. If you are reading this, I encourage you to shop local, where your neighbors shop. This is a great store.

Such a good hardware store. The amount of stuff packed into this small space is stupendous. Yeah, stupendous. Not to mention their unique selection of items, Japanese garden tools and knives, linens from India, whimsical knobs, shelf brackets, and wall hangers, and on and on. I come for one thing and end up getting lost amidst the aisles and searching for what else I might ‘need.’ Whoever is buying for the store is doing a fantastic job.

Bought an awesome rechargeable headlamp at a great price. The owners asked for feedback so here it is. 5/5 might have to come see what the more expensive models are like if the cheapest one was so nice…

One of the best if not the best hardware store in Seattle. Very well stocked, great location, definitely a neighborhood favorite. The store is also solar powered and has a great lawn care selection.

Had a water heater die at a rental property this morning. Greenwood Hardware had it installed two hours after I contacted them. It was done at 40% the price that one of the large Seattle HVAC companies quoted me.

I was so impressed. It is rare that you see such good service in Seattle these days. I would definitely use them in the future.

This is a great little neighborhood hardware store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Being a smaller store they tend to have a bit less selection and slightly higher prices than a place like Lowe's or Home Depot, but they're also much closer to my house than the bigger stores. When I need a smaller item or two, I'd much rather walk 10 minutes to Greenwood Hardware than drive 15 minutes to Home Depot, even if the price is a bit higher.

This hardware store has been one of my favorite places in Greenwood for the past 8 years. Helpful staff, small enough to easily navigate yet always seems to have what I need. It’s a great local business to support.
