Mike and crew are the best! Awesome selection from all over the world. Not a single wine in this shop that isn’t delicious! A Seattle institution and I feel giddy every time I step foot in here to shop! Wine club is an amazing value and I’ve gotten to try some wonderful stuff I would not normally go for. The wine club comes with a an awesome document with notes and pairings for the wines, plus a discount in the store!

Best wine shop in Seattle hands down. Great selection, good values and the staff really cares. Good options from both the Pacific Northwest and old world classics and some cool food items as well. They also have Friday tastings and other special events, a well curated wine club, and many other features. Highly recommended!

I live in Seattle and have been shopping here for more than 25 years. Michael and his staff are knowledgeable and passionate (overused word, but I think it applies) about wine--European wines in particular--and supporting the people who produce them. At Pike and Western, I've never felt pressured to spend more than I'm comfortable with, and I've always felt welcomed when walking through the door. And IMO, their wine club is, as they advertise, the best deal in town!

Michael and team are some of the best in the business. He sparked my joy of wine 30 years ago. Excellent selection, service, and reasonable prices. We enjoying shopping there when we visit Pike Place Market.

As many have pointed out, Pike and Western Wine is small, but has a great collection of curated wines. The staff are very knowledgeable and willing and able to help you make great choices for wines that will go well with your meal and mood. Clearly have many devoted customers as denoted by the items on hold in their shop so you can't miss with this store.

I have shopped here for years. This place is my favorite because I can go in, describe what I am cooking, and they have recommendations that are are fantastic. It is the best experience I have ever had in a wine shop. Now, during COVID, they provided the same service over the phone so I can simply pick up my purchase. This place is amazing, and the owner and employees have always been very helpful and knowledgeable.

Excellent and diverse selection of local, regional and world wines. The store staff are informed and hospitable. The wine store is located right in the center of Pike Place Market, which if you don't know, is a world-famous fish and local merchant market that is a must-see when staying in Seattle.

The patio in the back is very relaxing and peaceful. The staff is competent and friendly. Amazing to be both! Very convenient for tasting many different kinds of wine. Take a group, and you will enjoy yourself! I will surely come back here next time.

Great selection of wines from New and Old world. Personable and knowledgeable staff who provide honest opinions rather than trying to push sale on profitable items, and I think this ultimately is the main reason why I keep coming back to this shop. Every wine they carry in the store, they've personally tasted and decided that they like them enough to sell them.

Buy something familiar or try a grape you've never heard of -They don't sell a bad bottle. Been coming here for a year on and off. Helpful, and amazing quality at every price point. Great selection of European wines. Join their wine club! Free tasting every week.

Great little wine shop at the end of the Pike Place strip. Really interesting selection of (mostly) French labels, and a staff that is helpful and manages to give advice without making you feel stupid. Good selection of vermouths and dessert wine also.

A nice selection of wines from the U.S. and from other wine countries. Employees are always helpful & considerate. I travel 40 miles to visit this wine shop, my favorite. Highly recommend you stop in there!

Professional, focused, unpretentious

Update: this fine shop was victim to three recent fake negative reviews. In my experience and knowledge, p&w’s integrity is unmatched and curated offerings very special. They’re upstanding as can be.

Amazing selection. Prices are reasonable and they have some pretty hard to find wines. Recommend joining their wine club too, it's a great deal and you get some really interesting wines as well.

Awesome collection of wine... with very affordable prices. They have a large range when it comes to pricing...so you can spend anywhere from $12 to hundreds. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful..will definitely go back for more wine

Visited this wine store while visiting seattle and was glad I did. The staff are quite knowledgeable and they have some extremely cool/interesting/weird wines. For wine nerds out there, this is a great store to get some interesting geeky wines. I picked up a bottle of Sparkling Gruner from Washington and a unoaked Rioja. Both were both unusual and delicious at the same time.

Small but we'll curated wine shop, definitely ask for help when you go in! They pointed me to a phenomenal Barolo that was crazy cheap at $30 a bottle and helped me pick out a great Pinot for under $50 as well.

I went to this wine shop about a week ago. I was captivated by their impressive wine collection. The staff was extremely knowledgable about wine.This wine shop was out of this world. I will return to this store!
