Sugar Hill

I have visited Sugar Hill weekly for about a year. The staff are all amazing. The food is super delicious. It’s a very good place to go and dine solo or with a group. If you’re like me and like to dine solo, go sit at the bar and introduce yourself. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming.

I discovered Sugar Hill during a business trip to the Seattle area. This was my first visit to the city as I am from Michigan. It was refreshing to see a hip hop themed establishment in the city. The service was very friendly. The decor was very cool, including the big street light fixtures over the downstairs bar and the vinyl record collection of great hip hop albums. The bartender/waitress was very attentive. There were a few patrons for a Sunday, but I get the sense that it gets crackin' on the weekend. I would revisit for sure.

Great service with delicious street food. If you like drink where you don't taste alcohol this is the place for you. I prefer dry drinks and the water eccomended Jam On It, which tasted quite good, whereas the Mekhong was a tad too sweet for me. The food is also a bit sweet, but still has some tang and umami fish flavors.

I eat here at least once a week because their food is so good. Order anything on the menu, I haven’t been disappointed by a single dish. Cocktails are great and rotate seasonally, the bartenders definitely know what they’re doing 😋

The pad Thai was so yummy 😋 the drinks 🍸 were made right. I loved how it was a loungey vibe downstairs but upstairs is a party!

The food is fantastic, great service and loved the hip vibes. This spot truly feels like a hidden gem if you're craving some authentic Thai food!

Go on Thursday starting at 8pm for the khao soi + drink special. Level 4 spice is perfect for heat lovers. Chili crisp looks well made.

Records on the wall and good music.

This is one of my favorite spots on Capitol Hill. I always make sure to recommend it to people passing through. The food is amazing and the vibes are immaculate. *chefs kiss*

Awesome hip hop lounge bar. There's a whole wall of records on the first floor and an upstairs area with a bar and tables. Great cocktails, great music (if you like rap and hip hop), great atmosphere. This has become a new favorite spot!

Great vibes and yum gai with fried chicken is the best salad in the city

This place has Kao Soi!!!! A super delicious and hard to come by Thai dish- and it was so good. The Kra Pow with Kai Dow was also amazing and super flavourful. We love the vinyls, music vibes, and expertly made cocktails. Service was 12/10!

Super cool spot to check out in Seattle. Service is great and they are friendly. It is a good spot to check out for dinner and drinks with friends. The theme of the restaurant is really cool and different from other places. The drinks are fun and they have many options! I would come here again!

One of my favorite date spots in the city. Music and vinyls? Bangers. Food? Underrated. Not pictured are my personal favorites: Beek Gai Tod (wings) and Kang Kiew + Roti (curry pancake). Supposedly they clear the area upstairs after a certain hour and people get down, but I haven't experienced that... yet?

The food menu is interesting and complex while still being casual and snack-able. The cocktails are different than what we get everywhere else and super refreshing. One of our favorite happy hour spots, especially on the upstairs deck. The staff is attentive and chill.

A really nice bar in Capitol Hill. Great drinks, nice vibe and an overall cool environment. Will definitely return.

First off the welcome by the greeter La Kayla was amazing she was very sweet asked me where I wanted to sit Instead of sticking me just anywhere she though was convenient . Got me seated and I got water in under 1 min of being seating which was nice… . The bartender LINK upstairs was so incredibly charismatic and friendly It felt like I’ve been to this place 1,000 times with how welcomed he made me feel! I was on my out so decided to grab a drink at the bar downstairs and met Ryan the bartender on the lower lever who was also very friendly and made me feel like family!!! Ryan also introduced me to my new favorite drink the FRENCH MONTANA!! I’m definitely coming back again ! The 90’s 2000’s vibe and DJ was icing on the cake!!! WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO TOURISTS AND LOCALS ANYDAY!!! Incredible service!!!!

Capitol Hill is never short of great Thai food but Sugar Hill is still surprisingly good. We came in for a late night dinner, had Basil Chicken, Tom Yum and Mango Sticky Rice. All super delicious with reasonable portion and price. The vibe is great for a small bite or drink. Friendly and fast service. Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone.

One of my all-time favorites on the hill. I never bothered with this place for a long time assuming it was a desert shop but it's actually a Thai place. I came wanting a desert actually but was pleasantly surprised. There are a variety of drinks on the menu and I'm pretty sure I've tried them all (there's also a well-stocked bar if none of the specialty cocktails suit you). The only one or two that I disliked were due to my own tastes but I could still appreciate how carefully they were planned and mixed. The food is fantastic; it definitely feels like a more modern, new-age take on Thai food which, while arguably lacking a little bit of authenticity, never fails to excite the taste buds. The food always looks almost as good as it tastes, again demonstrating the care that is placed into the planning and preparation. Service is consistently stellar as well. While a little on the pricey side, it's definitely worth a date night visit.
