As the name suggests, if you are a fan of pop culture, this is the place for you. Such a fun museum! From music to video games to movies to television, this place has it all. Our personal favorite exhibits were those dedicated to fantasy, horror and sci-fi films! There are so many cool photo opportunities and great pieces from pop culture history. We spent about an hour and a half here. I’d say this is a must-see in Seattle.

Another must visit attraction while in Seattle 🎡🗼My only regret was not giving more time to this museum. ⏰ Honestly, the place is gigantic. There are many floors and many exhibits. My favorite two were definitely 💯 the sound lab, where you can actually play different instruments 🎸 🥁 🎹 in a sound room. That really was an interesting experience for me, since I have never played any instruments or music! 🎼 The other best exhibit was the scared to death 💀 exhibit! I really enjoyed seeing nostalgic movie 🎥 props from some classic horror films and a pretty awesome zombie 🧟‍♀ area!
Definitely check out the museum, and maybe give yourself a few hours for this! 🫡 If you want to really enjoy it and see all the floors, you need a good amount of time. 🙄 Unfortunately, the gift shop was just ok. Not too many unique souvenirs. Also, they have many entrances but only one that is open 🫠

We visited although not on our agenda. Wanted to do something indoor as it was cold outside. I was pleasantly surprised. Only regret is not having visited during a theme like some of the other reviews mentioned. Either way I enjoyed the different themes and props throughout. I also bought my husband an alien figurine that was on sale which he enjoyed.

Extremely cool museum with great exhibits! The location is a great factor too because there is always festivals happening outside and it is near the space needle. The museum has a lot of different sections which are all worth exploring it has a make your own music room, sections on the history of hip hop and most importantly the major music artists who came from Seattle and their journeys. The wall or statue of guitars was amazing and the room with the large TV is great. As a big Nirvana fan seeing their guitars and reading the history of their albums was great. There is also a guitar hall of fame and a horror room, Disney room and more. You can spend a good 2 hours in here to fully enjoy everything the Museum offers.

One of the coolest museums I've been to! I really enjoyed the Nirvana room and the horror section. Plus the outside of the building is neat as well. I'd recommend a visit if you've never been.

Really interesting and cool museum! I especially loved the indie games and horror movie exhibits - crossover when? 👀 Budget about 3 hours, maybe more if you want to spend longer playing in the indie games section. Only criticism is that I wish all the videos in the Nirvana exhibit had subtitles, and the coffee at the cafe was kinda meh.

Good experience in the individual jam rooms- delightful! I was pretty amazed to see all that they had displayed on Nirvana! Loved it!

This is an amazing museum! I visited a couple of years ago to see the Heroes & Villains - The Art of Disney Costume exhibit. This was an enjoyable exhibit to look at - to see all the beautiful costumes. I also really enjoyed looking at the permanent exhibits in the museum as well.

This place is a must experience! There are such cool immersive exhibits filled with various items from the history of pop culture. I loved the horror section and the hip hop exhibit the most. I thougt it was awesome to see props and costumes from some of my favorite movies of all time such as the axe from the shining, morticia Addam's dress, the hoverboards from Back to the future, the guns from MIB, and the list goes on...If you are in the city I highly recommend checking out this place. The building itself is also really cool.

It was a little pricey but there's a lot of bang for your buck. We didn't go to the laika show but I'm sure it was wonderful. There was a good cross between looking at stuff and also interacting. As a fan of Sci fi I was super excited, and I LOVED the fantasy exhibit. The horror one was awesome too. Very fun on your own and with a loved one, but if you haven't seen a lot of the movies / if you don't get the references it's probably not as fun.

What an amazing experience checking out the Contact High exhibit dedicated to the celebration of 50 years of Hip-Hop. My husband and I were blown away by the extent of legendary pieces of hip hop that we got to see up close.
We also took the time to look at the Nirvana exhibit and the "tower of guitars" I don't remember exactly what that was called but it was really cool! They have something for all ages. HIGHLY recommended!

This was an amazing place that captured a moment or two from every generations hey day. From the hip hop exhibit to the science fiction exhibit to musical hall with wall of famous guitars. It was a joy to experience. Washington's very own Nirvana has a nice exhibit dedicated to the band. There was a stop motion picture exhibit we did not enter due to scheduling on our part, but it did seem entertaining.

Great experience and worth the price! Exhibits are clean and full of information about each section. Didn’t need assistance, but staff were available if need be! Loved every exhibit and there was plenty to look at and interact with!

This museum exceeded all our expectations! Its convenient location, nestled close to other attractions, made it a perfect addition to our Seattle itinerary. The iconic building itself is an architectural wonder.
What truly sets this museum apart is its wide appeal. Both adults and teenagers in our family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Laika exhibition, featuring Coraline, was a particular highlight, although it does require an extra ticket. The exhibits dedicated to the history of hip hop, fantasy and horror movies were captivating for our teenagers. The Sound Lab, where you can create your own music, was a hit with the younger and older crowd :).
However, for the adults, the Nirvana gallery was the highlight. Overall, the Museum of Pop Culture is a must-visit attraction in Seattle, and it’s well worth the time and money spent. It was a memorable experience for all of us.

One of the coolest museums I have ever visited. I had to check out the “hidden worlds: the films of Laika” and was simply amazed by the design and details . The Laika studio exhibit is separated into sections based on movies. Other exhibits are also pretty neat. My favorite ones are: fantasy world, the thrill of horror film, and infinite worlds of science fiction.

Fantastic experience if you are into any sort of pop culture. Uniquely designed and so fun to visit. There are different exhibits during different times of the year but all are a treat if you are the sort to enjoy pop history. Space needle nearby and various food options as well in the armory close by

You had me at Chris Cornell. If you aren’t sure who that is I’m not sure we can be friends. Before I even stepped inside I had to find his statue. It’s just beautiful in person and is an awesome addition to the museum . The building itself is a site to see. Well worth the time to check out if you love music of any kind. Great playground outside and beautiful park as well. A must stop if In Seattle.

Worth the $$ and the time. Great staff and although it was busy it didn't feel hectic. Most importantly, the exhibits are well-curated and full of rich detail. If you're a child of the 70's, 80's or 90's ... MoPop should hold your interest for an easy couple hours.

Thoroughly enjoyed exploring this place! Plenty to interest anyone, from hip hop, grunge, animation, all the way through horror to fantasy and science fiction. Many iconic artefacts from movies and TV (thanks Paul Allen), interactive exhibits (enjoy a play on the drums or mixing desk), the ubiquitous gift shop and cafe, even the fascinating building itself (once you found the entrance) were special. Easy to get to on the monorail, all in all a most enjoyable visit.
