J5 Eat & Drink

I think the best description of J5 would be modern rustic. When you approach the property it has an older, weathered, backyard patio vibe, but inside the decor is upscale, with deep rich colors and polished woodwork, splashed with progressive design elements (you can look up and see twinkling stars!). There are 3 garage doors (adding to the homelike atmosphere) that can be opened to pair the formal dining room with a huge deck to create an open dining feel for the whole restaurant. One of the owners introduced herself and told us the history of the restaurant which was enjoyable. The food was great, especially my burger which was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and was served on the most delicious bun! There's a full bar for cocktails before dinner. Definitely try out J5!

Excellent service, food, and drinks! my sister held her wedding here in town and when her caterer dropped out last minute they did everything they could to help her have a beautiful rehearsal dinner! even though they don’t cater they made us feel so welcome and taken care of! All of the food was delicious and high quality! The tap list was excellent and they knew how to pour a good beer! The cocktails were excellent and well balanced 🩷 would definitely recommend them!

Top shelf! We were told by so many people to dine here. Being foodies and steak enthusiasts we have had our share of "hyped up" fairy tales about steaks that are must haves and very few live up to the hype. HOWEVER, J5 is not a fairy tale. From the outside it looks like a middle of the road steakhouse but inside is another story. Fast, friendly service. Everybody's family atmosphere. And of course our food was wonderful and fairly priced. The steak DID in fact live up to the hype. Well prepared, properly seasoned and melted in my mouth. Barely needed a knife. Job well done J5!!!

Aside from getting a table next to the bathroom and the blinking light above our table (which they apologized for several times), this place is five stars! They were busy while we were there, but the service was still terrific, and the food was even better. We will be back. It's very trendy for a place this far from the city! In one word,... Excellent!

This place is everything it's advertised. The food was amazingly delicious. The service was incredible. The atmosphere delightful. I can hardly wait to go again and dine outside as the weather was not good enough on my visit because the backyard is beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and everything was so fresh. I cannot recommend this place enough

J5 is kind of like our Cheers, except they don’t necessarily know our name. It doesn’t matter, though, because we’re so comfortable there. The food is consistent, the atmosphere is great (especially after the remodel), and the hospitality is delightful. I could eat the Brussels sprouts by the handful with the roasted cauliflower, NY strip, and the shrimp appetizer. As a matter of fact, I think it’s time to head back.

We ate at J5 Steakhouse on February 15, 2024. The food was fabulous! Our filets were cooked perfectly! The brussel sprouts were delicious as was the asparagus & potato mash. Our server was outstanding!!! We will be returning soon!

Came here on Aug 9th right at 5p when they opened.

I wish I would have remembered to take pictures before devouring some of the food.

The firecracker shimp was AMAZING! We couldn't get enough of it. Also had the ahi tuna appetizer that was quite tasty.

3 of us had delicious steaks - 2 of them were cooked to perfection, one was slightly over, but not by enough to need to send back. The fourth person had fish - he said it was great!

The desserts were okay/average - but probably more of a preference thing than anything.

Our waitress, Jaiden (one of the 5 J's), was lovely and attentive.

Definitely will come back here if I'm in the area.

What an amazing place, the food and drinks are amazing. My husband absolutely raved about the beeswax old fashion. We will definitely come back and recommend to everyone.

The grilled salmon, Thai sweet brussels, and the beet salad are all amazing. Olivia was wonderful and took great care of our party of 7.

OH!!! MY!!! LITTLE BABY JESUS (and I am fully aware He was a grown man BUT THIS IS MY REVIEW AND I MAKE ALL THE MONEY)!!!! This place had THE BEST SIRLOIN STEAKS IN THE UNIVERSE and I have been all over so I know a thing or two or three about Universal Steaks........?......(I 've been in Texas too long)........JUST GO TO J5 Steakhouse TODAY!!!

What a hidden gem! We had a fantastic meal from start to finish! Delicious cocktails, terrific waitress! Can't wait to go back!

The Majestic Redfish is a great dish paired with the Thai Sweetened Brussel Sprouts. Yummy!

First time visiting here and it was great. Loved the patio area and the open space that the kids were able to run in while waiting for the food. Food was delicious. Service was great.

My filet was cooked to perfection. Our server was very polite and attentive. The Queso Fundido and French Onion Soup are musts!

I’ve been a “local” patron for years. The food is great quality consistently and the service is always the best. The family owned part of it is what I believe family should be. This is my truly home away from home. Thanks guys!

Better than Bob's, Perry's, etc.. Awesome experience for my fathers 65th! Will go here over down town from now on.

Man, my first time at the place. Ordered pick up for the wife to surprise her, and I got a flat! :/ She ultimately picked the food up while I was working on my tire and they comped our deserts by surprise!! Man these guys left a nice little note too! And yes, the food was delicious!! Will definitely be back.

One of my faves. We had a dbl birthday party there are they were very accommodating

The food was amazing but the service was outstanding! A little pricey but we were celebrating our wedding anniversary so it was worth it!
