I started going to Mane Mixx a year and 1/2 ago or so maybe 2, per a friends recommendation. They do a nice hair cut but if you are the kind of person who doesn’t like regular scheduling issues or doesn’t like feeling secondary because you only get your hair cut a few times a year. This is not the place for you.
I had a hard time getting returned calls to schedule appointments from the start.
Once I was finally established with a salon specialist it was hard for her to find me evening and weekend appointments. My last visit there, another customer (who it appeared was more valued than my business) walked in and then my service was rushed.
Once my hair specialist left Mane Mixx she said she would make sure a new salon specialist would be contacting me. It never happened (she could have dropped the ball) so i had to try and schedule again. No human answers the phone, you just leave a message hoping someone will call or text you back and by your 3rd call/message maybe this will happen.
So fast forward to scheduling online. Yeah, finally! So I thought!
I schedule my appointment almost 2 weeks ago for today with a new stylist. She cancels on me for non illness related reasons and gave a lame excuse about scheduling errors 2 hours before my appointment (not even 24 hours) which should not be the customers problem and is poor business practice in my opinion. She should have figured out something.
As if that wasn’t enough to make me move on, I found out the Salon Specialist that I was to see today canceled on me because she was busy doing highlights, brizilian blowout, and rows of welts. Confirming my suspicions that simple services are not as valued at Mane Mixx.
