Dr. Krathen is great. Stays up to date with all latest treatments. Office runs efficiently, never have to wait. I've been with him since before he split off from a previous practice and found that other practice not as good, so switched back to him. He removed a squamous cell carcinoma from my arm without leaving any scar.

This is one of the best team of professionals I have ever met for health care. They are all friendly, articulate and I have total confidence in their expertise. Somehow they have the unique ability to calm you down and also get you fixed up. Brooke Really helped me out today with a fix to an issue I've had for months. Very grateful for these folks!

Emma brought us into the exam room and was very friendly and she looked up previous pics and said everything seems to look good.

We also saw Brooke again yesterday and she couldn’t be any nicer.
She’s very knowledgeable and doesn’t leave out a thing .

Dr. Krathen is absolutely the best - I've never needed to wait for an appointment, he diagnosed me quickly and accurately, and is great at communication. Staff is always very polite, waiting room is comfortable and nice, and rooms are well furnished and modern.

Had my first photodynamic therapy session; wasn't sure what to expect. Brook and the staff were great. The acetone and acid wasn't bad, but the 90 minute wait was in between application and irradiation could have been better with a better magazine selection.

The whole office is really professional. The staff is super efficient and responsive. Dr. Krathen is extremely skilled and Brooke is also amazing. She is extremely skilled and has incredible social skills and really listens and cares. You just feel really safe and cared for in their hands, and that is increasingly rare unfortunately.

I've been going to the office since May 2022 for an issue I was very embarrassed about, and my PCP recommended me to here. I mainly dealt with Brooke Simas, and I highly recommend her! The bedside manner is amazing, and she makes you feel completely comfortable. Office staff are all super sweet and welcoming, will absolutely return if I need a dermatologist in the future.

I was at a fancy dermatology factory in Chestnut Hill. Just not where you want to be. Did some online searching and settled on Essential Dermatology and Dr. Krathen. Could not be happier. Friendly staff. Very communicative. Explain everything. Offer options. Appointments are on time. If only all medical offices could be like this one.

I have only had great experiences at Essential Dermatology! The office is super clean. The staff and providers here are all so nice and efficient. No difficulty getting an appointment, and have never experienced long wait times.

Dr. Krathen and his team are exceptional . They listen to your concerns and offer a number of solutions. Dr. Krathen is very patient and always responds in a timely manner. I am very lucky to have him as one of my doctors.

My skin was extremely problematic suddenly in late in my 30’s, I even tried Accutane at another dermatologist, and it didn’t work. Being a very confident woman to not- the emotional toll of suddenly having bad skin was so hard on me. It’s been 7 months since my life changed at Essential when I met Brooke and then started getting facials with Courtney. The customized plan they have me on and the fact they talk to each other, my skin is crystal clear now, and my confidence is back. They even helped my hair grow more! And I barely wear makeup now. I could never thank Brooke and Courtney enough.

Very nice office, staff is professionaland Dr Krathen is very patient and make sure you understand what he is reporting. Referred to them by my regular dermatologist since he was more experienced in what I was dealing with. Been to the office several times and experience is always great.

Close-by parking, a clean, modern facility, friendly, helpful staff, being seen on time by a competent doctor with a pleasant demeanor, and outstanding results!!! What more could I possibly want from Essential Dermatology? I recommend them without hesitation or reservation.
