The Other Side

Enjoyed my visit here! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The coffee was delicious and included a sweet visual treat on the cup. The Coffee Shop itself is a beautifully outfitted atmosphere. Okay, and here's the best part: THE SCONES :)
I highly recommend stopping by for a great cup of coffee and delicious treat! (They have lunch food, too - I will be back to try, soon)

Early this morning while scrolling through my Instagram thread, my wonderful friends at Conscious Cup introduced me to The Other Side. A long time resident of Crystal Lake/ Prairie Grove I am a 18 year CC coffee veteran, Now living in Salt Lake City, every visit to my hometown brings me together with Jack, Roseanna, Michael and the wonderful tribe at all of their locations. And now...The Other Side...and your contributions to the recovery community. For me...48 plus year's of sobriety and for me next trip in a stop at The Other Side for coffee and thanks and hope for the next day.

I was searching for new places to hang out and talk with friends and stumbled upon this place! I was under the impression that they only served mocktails as a sober bar but I found out they have a pretty extensive menu! Their coffee is reasonably priced and sooo good! I tried the cinnamon bun latte and it was delicious. The staff was super sweet and welcoming and I can’t wait to come back and try the food on their menu as well! I will definitely be making this place a regular spot to get coffee with friends!

Incredibly kind staff, delicious coffees, & unique- & tasty- mocktails! I’m in usually a few times a week & always have a lovely experience no matter who is working! (& can’t recommend the banana nut muffin enough! It’s my favourite!)

Love this place! Super great vibes, especially when the weather is warm and they open the garage door. I meet people for work here often. Good wifi and great coffee!

What a beautiful relaxing space! The Garden Punch drink was a wonderful mix of flavors! Speaking of flavorful the Chocolate Crescent and Carrot Walnut Muffin were Ah-mazing! 🤤

It's a beautiful space impacting and giving purpose to many people's lives!!! I love the duality; it's for both the recovering community and for regular folk who just want a space to chill!!

My favorite place to enjoy a coffee and get work done, also a fun spot to hang with friends in the evenings. 10/10

One of the best of the 12 coffee shops in Crystal Lake. Love their mission and also love their inviting space and comfortable seating. Can't wait for them to open the garage door at the counter in the summer time. They use Conscious cup coffee so you know it checks that box too. My friends who have had the food said its great too. Great work and lounging space.

I've now been here on multiple occasions. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is always relaxing during the days and fun in the evenings/weekends. I've enjoyed hanging out there with friends or ducking in to kill an hour or so with my kids while we work and study. They are open later than the downtown coffee shops.

Went for an open mic on Friday. Had sandwich chips and soda. My band also played here. It's a great vibe. Great concept on the no alcohol. Kudos friendly O will be back

Went last night for the first time for their "Grateful Dead" night and it was a blast. Great people, inviting atmosphere, and the mocktails were scrumptious. I had the Raspberry Paloma- I could have ordered 10. This is a refreshing take on the bar scene and a welcome business for this Sober Sally.

It's a great place for hanging with friends. Love the cocktails And the food is really good.

This spot is a great, comfortable place to get work done, and the staff is super friendly. My only recommendation would be more tea offerings since there are currently three available. Nice addition to the local Crystal Lake coffee shop options!

Awesome location, delicious food and coffee, service was outstanding and the decor and furniture was new, clean and comfortable!

We visited this spot for a work meeting and it was fantastic. The raspberry mocha was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for our group.

This place is simply wonderful!! The service is amazing!!! The food is absolutely delicious!! Love the relaxed atmosphere with comfortable chairs and sofa!! Would highly recommend!!

I came here for yoga and grabbed a kombucha as I left. Great atmosphere, big and clean with a welcoming vibe. We're not 100% sober but definitely trying to increase the quantity of our sober days. We'll definitely come back. All the muffins look amazing and the kombucha on tap was so good. Going to return for the chai latte!
