Solea Restaurant and Tapas Bar

Great food & atmosphere for our Friday night party of 9. Ours was a birthday party. Definitely say yes if the waitstaff asks if you need a birthday candle! And take their recommendation & choose the daily specials. Everything was delicious & full of different flavors. We loved it and can't wait to go back.

Clean restaurant with nice food. I tried the cheese bread, beef, and lamb chops. They all tasted good.

It was a great experience.
In fact the only thing I would change is the "Pão de queijo" they serve which should be a typical Brazilian treat (it was not a good ratio of the cassava flour and there could be a bit more cheese).

Solea
The place has a traditional and beautiful ambience. We ordered a few tapas dishes for the table and all were great with authentic flavours. We got the garlic butter shrimps, Spanish omelette, mushroom and artichoke crostini, meatballs in a creamy sauce and crispy cauliflower. Should definately try their paella. They have a lot of seating space. Overall a great place for Spanish food.

We always have a great time when we visit here with friends. We shared the Oceana Paella which was fantastic. It is always fun to try something new on the tapas menu as well.

It is a nice tapas place. The food is great. Everything tastes delicious. They have special Sangria that they change weekly I believe. The last time I was there I tried their special Sangria and it was tasty. My boyfriend and I ordered: Patatas Bravas, Coliflor Picante, Ravioles de Mariscos, and Chuletillas. For the dessert we had Churros. We were super full. The server was nice and friendly. During the weekend you better make a reservation because they might be packed.

2020 (pre-covid) Excellent selection of tapas, great drinks. Warmly decorated, comfortable restaurant and bar area.
2023 returned for an excellent dinner.
Tapas dishes were delicious, service excellent, plenty of water refills. Lovely dining decor.

Tapas here are awesome! We had grilled octopus, lamb meatball, duck leg and beef tenderloin, everything is delicious, we love the sauce (fruity, creamy, very unique)!

Lots of Gluten Free options. Everything we got was super yummy!

Friers are separated for true GF dining! 5 stars for that!!

Got a large mix of items for our table. Everything was super yummy. I did wish the beef tenderloin was a bit warmer. It's reheated sliced beef tenderloin in a super yummy cream sauce. Mine was a bit cold, but they could have been worried about cooking it too much.

The port flight was very yummy.

The waiter recommended some great dishes. The goat cheese with basil was amazing. Their asparagus preparation is great except that it has asparagus. We also loved the lamb, loin, and paella. At the end we were happily surprised by the bill. We thought it was going to be more. Definitely coming back.

Visited with friends for dinner. Sitting outside was a good choice. We ordered a mix of items from the menu from veggies to meat to seafood. I didn't try the meat, but veggies and seafood items were delicious. Had the shrimp, calamari, and roasted veggies. Good options if you are not into meat. I would recommend trying this place if you are in town.

Tonight was my first time at Solea and everything was amazing. From the berry sangria to the orange flan it was all 10 stars. We started with the fried calamari and patatas bravas, took a dive to try the steamed mussels and garlic shrimp. Its was all great, the garlic shrimp was a little salty for my taste but no complains here honestly. Kevin was very attentive and one of the best servers I've ever had the pleasure to be served by... the moment you walk through the door you instantly feel transported to the coastal villages of Spain. There's a sign posted for free churros per review but that had nothing to do with this post, try the Valencia paella loaded shellfish and rice

Savory Spanish food with excellent service. The paella was outstanding. The pictures don’t say enough. Come here for your Spanish food craving. The food is worth the wait. (Longer wait times for paella).

Fantastic! The meat and cheese platter; empanadas; calamari; lobster ravioli; Brussel sprouts; and lamb chops were ALL delicious. Staff and service were great.

Dishes are tasty, service is always warm, plenty of seating and inviting decor. Patatas bravas, pulpo di romesco, and the brunelo.

Great food and menu options. Beer selection was lackluster. Service was just OK. Atmosphere was very nice.

Love all the tapas plate ordered specially lamb chops, empanada, fried potatoes. Thanks to our waitress, she is so kind and nice. Enjoyed a lot

Amazing tapas! Loved every dish they served.
I was lucky enough to try pretty much everything since our group of 12 managed to order at least one of everything on the menu. There were no low points, everything was absolutely delicious. This is a great place for any number of people whether it's a date or a large group. I can't find any other place like Solea around. We've been coming here for years and are never disappointed! We've moved away from the area but still come back because it's that good. You have to try Solea if you've never been.
