The Tasty Crab

Love love love Tasty Crab! The food always comes out piping hot and is full of flavor! Highly recommend!

It was pretty bare when we got here. My girls wanted crab legs and we try and avoid Red Lobster right now with inflation. We came here today and we loved it. My little oned want to come back for more crab legs. Cajun seasoning was a bit messy, but it was delicious. We also had calamari and crab cakes. Loved those too though i didn't take a picture. Service is excellent. Kept coming to see if everything was good or if we need refills. Definitely coming back for affordable, tasty sea food.

If you're in the Bloomington area and you like seafood, you have to stop by here! The food is amazing!!! The boiled bags are fanomonal!!!! We also had the coconut shrimp and the deep fried shrimp as well. Everything tasted great. As far as the service, they were on top of it!! The location is perfect, the food was perfect, and the staff was awesome! Go here!!!

This place was soooo amazing we walked in and went straight to our table he took our drink orders then came right back with our drinks and no more than us being here 5 minutes our food was coming out and it was absolutely delicious the workers are very polite, nice, and professional

This place was great!! The service was fast and very professional. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely DELICIOUS! Our server was very kind and on top of everything we needed, she checked on us several times and was very attentive to our needs. The prices were decent too, we spent 50$ for the both of us to eat, which is great for fresh seafood! We left with full and satisfied tummies ha! We will definitely be returning to the Tasty Crab and telling our friends and family about our experience!!

This restaurant is one of my favorites. It’s so amazing. It’s always clean and the staff are very friendly. The flavor of my food (Cajun) mild was delicious. And my mai tai alcoholic beverage was great as well.

My family has been a loyal satisfied customer for 3 years. We enjoy the seafood and friendly staff. We have never fell sick by eating here. Very clean establishment as well. Zack thank you for your great customer service too.

You will not be short changed. This place was fantastic. If you dont like salt but love spice get the garlic butter with medium spice. Its so good. The green mussels, catfish and cajuan fries were so good!

I thought I was close to New Orleans for a moment in time. The waitress was really nice. Any restaurant where they pack up your leftovers for you is automatically at least 3 stars. I really love seafood and finally had the chance to sit down in this place and I will be returning. For the amount of good the prices were reasonable. Look, it’s really hard to get the right amount of seasoning in a crab boil but they do it multiple times a day. I had black mussels, blue crab because it’s in season, fried oysters, seasoned French fries, and calamari. The boils come with corn and a couple red potatoes. If I didn’t have braces I would have eaten the corn on the cob and if I didn’t have French fries I would have eaten the potatoes. They give you gloves, bibs, and tools for the various crab types they have. My boyfriend had the snow crab, shrimp with head off, fried shrimp with seasoned fries, and mozzarella sticks. I also sampled those items. We used gloves until we finally had too much butter and seasoning to properly open sea delicacies then threw them in the bucket. They bring it steamed in the bag but you have the option to turn it over onto the tray but we kept ours in the bag to retain heat and ‘save a dish’. Can’t wait to get my braces off so I can eat the corn on the cob. Also, food came quickly and they followed current guidelines for COVID restrictions too.

A fabulous date night. Waiter did an awesome job was very prompt and attentive. The food was spectacular had shrimp and crab legs special my wife had crab legs and crawfish. It was all superior and would highly recommend a visit if you have not been already. A little pricey but something different than the norm.

Overall this place was great! Best mojito I've had in town $7.95 but well worth it. The boil was packed with so much flavor, I got the Crawfish and blue crab. Recommend getting the tasty special when choosing flavors, medium heat. Spot on. The oysters my fiance got was golden brown and delicious. Cajun fries was crispy and also had a great flavor. Daughter got the chefs choice sashimi and it was so well balanced. No complaints hear. We stayed past 9:30. We have such a great experience, can't wait to come back. Total check was 67$ and some change for 3 people and a couple alcoholic beverages. Not bad at all.

Went for Valentines Day and was not disappointed! Service was swift and our waitress was very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and we fed 2 people on $50! 10/10 will dine again!

Me and my boyfriend went here for the first time and it was great 🥰 We’re from the South Side of Chicago, so this food definitely gives us a taste of home. If you’re looking for a tasty cocktail here, I recommend getting the Passion Island cocktail, and for your sauce, I would choose the “tasty special sauce”.

Update- My 2nd time visiting and I would still give this restaurant 5 stars. I love their atmosphere. All of the waitresses are so nice and sweet. The communication and courtesy is outstanding☺ This time, I tried their “tasty sauce” with the heat level of “hot”, it was delicious. Reminds me so much of Chicago sea food boil restaurants🍽🔥

Working in the area for a few months and came to the tasty crab to eat with coworkers and we ordered 1/2 a pound of everything on the boil list, it was so delicious we ordered another half pound of everything again. Sooo good 👍🏽. Just an FYI don’t order the Fried calamari cause it’s frozen and nasty but the boil is just awesome.

This places never disappoints. My wife and I are loyal customers for a few years now. Worth the drive from Decatur.

Was a very nice environment! Food was absolutely delicious! Well seasoned and you get a bunch of food! Watch for the specials to get even more bang for your buck! I had an August special and my husband had the king crab legs and he absolutely loved them! Everything was great! Wonderful place to eat!

Great place! My first time trying a boil, the staff helped me navigate the menu, felt very welcome!

1lb black mussels and 1lb snow 🦀 was delicious with the garlic seasoning and the serving was really huge 👍☺ The steamed oysters were also tasty 👌
